Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ But he said..... oh. Oh well, she's going to go ahead and gingerly reach out to touch it. She's not shocked! Then look at him excitedly. Then touch it again! ]

It's so... strange, I have never seen anything like it! It almost looks like it comes from the future. Or like a complicated Rubik's cube.

[After the second time she reaches out to "pet" it, a set of simple cat-like features flicker onto the side facing her. The vibrating is its best imitation of purring, evidently.]

It's a solid hologram created from advanced technology. If you're used to more primitive devices, it's not surprising that it would seem like it's from the future. According to the data stored in its memory I was its creator in my past life, so I'll take that as a compliment, keke.

[miraculo]

[ She laughs as well. ] ....Amazing.

I don't suppose that you remember how to create such a thing? [ Can she pet those cat-like features. She's going to pet them because she is a weirdo. ]

[subtract]

[The face part is completely insubstantial, but she can totally pet the ears. It leans into her hand like you'd expect from an affectionate cat (and somehow the box ontop of it doesn't slide at all even when it's tilted at an angle).

His chuckling trails off a bit at that question. As much as he'd love to brag...]

Not yet. But I will. It's just a matter of examining the technology and reverse-engineering it. I did it once before, so it should be a piece of cake the second time around.

[ She smiles at him, keeping a hand upon the fake-cat ear. ] I believe you'll be able to do so, even if you don't remember.

[ A pause. ] Also-- if you need the materials, I can help with that! As a miko, I can beseech the gods needed to provide whatever element or alloy you need to make it again. [ In canon they actually do this once for a "science" experiment sob. ] ...And, I suppose, as a god myself-- I can also help with that.[ A pause. ]

Oh, right-- I should mention that my name is Sanae Kochiya.

[Those confident and encouraging words are... unexpected, to say the least. The surprise shows on his face for an awkward moment before he masks it with another round of nervous laughter.]

Kukukuku, how generous of you. I could always use better materials, but I doubt a god is going to work for free. I don't like making deals when I don't know the price. What are you after?

Eh--? Oh, no, [ Waving her hand. ] No price really!

[ Have a pause, as she looks back at Apocalypse. ] ....Buuuut, I suppose--... if you make another one, I wouldn't mind seeing it!

[subtract]

[So the price is that she wants to examine his technology. That could be a fair exchange...]

... Hmph. If I make another one, I'll consider it. [He waves dismissively. No promises!] That is, if your materials are any good. How does that work, anyway? Beseeching the gods to provide elements and alloys...?

Hmmm, as a miko, we're able to do this without any problems. Either you can summon one to bring you the material, channel them to create the material, or pray to them to ask for the material.

[ Seems pretty simple, no? ] It's asking the gods for a favor. Most are pretty reasonable, in my experience!

[subtract]

So you're a god that prays to other gods for favours? How unusual. So what god would that make you?

If you're willing to deal with the negotiations and expenses, I don't see any reason to decline. [Less work for him. High-quality parts need rarer and more expensive base materials, so it would save him a ton of trouble if he had easy access to all those hard to find elements. Maybe he could even start experimenting with upgrades to it...]

[miraculo]

Consider it done, then! [ She beams. ] You'll build a new Apocalypse within a month, I'm sure of it! [ It sounds like she's giving help to a villain. ]
