007 | Clean Up Your Act

Who: Everyone!
What: Spring cleaning
When: All day April 15
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.

Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

In Summary:
  • Clean up your home
  • Help clean others' homes
  • Get the main hall clean too!
  • Hope no hidden magic jumps out
  • Seek counselling if you need it
  • Enjoy your complimentary dinner
  • Have fun~

["Desperate"? Gurl.]

Don't address me as your junior. [Or at least don't call him "boy". Ugh. Breath caught, he straightens and... well. Keeps his distance, honestly. He's not stupid.] And don't speak to me as if I'm some slobbering lecher. Aside from the fact that it's false, you're thinking too highly of yourself. Being a violent brute is bad enough; conceit would destroy any of your remaining appeal.

[What little there is. But whatever. He'd much rather go back to struggling than waste his time with someone useless. Taking the now-defunct mic from his ear, he shoos her away.] In any case, it's clear you're not going to be helpful. I'm sorry, but with all that's going on I'd rather not deal with someone uncooperative. You can go.

[Shoo. Shoo, shoo.]
galactically: (you continued to smile so gracefully)

Excuse me?

[If there is anything Sheryl doesn't take kindly to, aside from insults, is obnoxious, entitled men who thinks ordering people around on a whim is kosher. Even a woman who can be bossy at times dislikes seeing the same trait she possesses on someone else.

And he can't even use that properly?? How pathetic. Clearly this idiot needs to be put in his place.

So instead of doing what he says, she slowly approaches him, a twisted smirk tugging at her lips that goes at odds with her otherwise serene expression. One of her hands slips inside her purse, reaching for something.]

Violent brute, you say? My, my, you really like to waste your oxygen with such lowly words, saying all that to a woman who's only trying to stand her ground. Really? Like you're one to talk about conceit when you're too ready to boss innocent people around like slaves.

[She chuckles, but it's not the usual friendly kind that she reserves for friends. Oh, no. This is the "I will ruin you, you pathetic waste disposal in human form" chortle. Her tone even matches that, sugar with a healthy dose of cyanide.]

Now be a good boy and apologize, then you can gain back all the charm you lost. ['If you had any to begin with!'] Okay~?

No.

[He's turned his back to her by now, busying himself with the bits of the outfit he can take off.]

I've got no reason to. No matter how you'd like to victimize yourself, I tugged on your sleeve while asking for assistance. A parent doesn't apologize after scolding a child and that's all you're behaving like right now. Usually, I wouldn't mind giving you a lengthy lecture but I've got other things on my mind. For now, it'd be better for both of us if you just left.
galactically: (Sheryl does not approve)

Victimize myself? How stupid are you?

[She turns right around to face him, resting her free hand on her hip with a scowl.]

Normal people would say, "Excuse me, can you help me out?" without resorting to grabbing people's sleeves out of nowhere. Don't blame your mistakes on me! This is all your fault and you know it.

I won't deny that I might have let my frustrations get the better of me but to say I'm completely at fault is totally baseless.

[He pauses untying his boots to shoot another glare at her.] Normal people don't respond to even the rudest requests by spearing the other person through the chest.

[Is he exaggerating?? No. It still hurts, dammit. Keito takes a minute to rub at it and winces. Okay. Yup. It's bruising already. He's weak.] Don't just excuse yourself while demanding I hold myself accountable.
galactically: (I am dumping you so deal with it)

[personal profile] galactically 2016-08-19 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Keito actually has a point, but will Sheryl admit it out loud? Nope. Pride can be a very fickle thing.]

... Well, you took me by surprise! [She averts her gaze, folding both arms across her chest after releasing her purse.] I had crazy people grab me like that before, so just in case...

[Totally self-defense! Very misguided. It's when Keito winces that Sheryl finally looks at his chest, and for once, there's actually the faintest tinge of pink on her cheeks. Embarrasing.]

Don't try to move too much. Here, let me help.

[She unfolds her arms, and with her movements deliberately slow to make sure he sees them coming, she carefully unties the strings he can't reach.]

[After the pain she's already inflicted, Keito doesn't exactly trust her offer to help. He watches her approach with clear caution that eases into surprise only when the strings are undone.

Oh.
]

... Thanks. [Now he can take the sleeves? Sure, the sleeves. Now the sleeves are off. He folds them and tucks them under the mic.] I'm glad to see you've got the sense to listen to reason. even if it's belated. For a few minutes I was worried I'd have to give you a lengthy lecture. Not that that's a problem usually but for now I need to find my friends.

[His change of clothes catch his eyes. Keito frowns.] And... clean. I guess.
galactically: (fly faster)

[personal profile] galactically 2016-08-24 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
... You're welcome.

[She matches his tone as she speaks, taking a step back with her hands loosely clasped behind her back.]

Save your lame lectures on someone who needs it. They'll bore me to death.

[His whole demeanor screams hall monitor to her, somehow, like she's in danger of being sent to detention. Right as Keito mentions friends and cleaning, though, her entire facial expression changes, looking like she left something burning in the oven.]

Oh, no! My break time is over and— [dramatic gasp] My shinki! He'd better not get lost again, geez!

[Without even a proper farewell, Sheryl turns on her heels and sprints away. Zoro's safety is of extreme import, okay?]
