Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

There's a lot you don't know about me, you soul stealing hack. [ His words are nasty but his tone is still light and pleasant. They might be discussing the weather for as bland as he keeps his voice. ] You really should be careful about makin' assumptions. A man could lose a whole game on just one assumption.

You think Gat is a good example of people comin' back right? [ The ten foot tall robot who didn't eat or sleep or do anything but exactly what Hazel told him to do? ] You own him. He's nothing but your puppet, just like all those people you raised.

Gat's got plenty of mind of his own. Just because he doesn't share it with the likes of y'all doesn't mean there's nothin' goin' on upstairs. [stop projecting, red.]

[ Gat's clearly not here, or that wouldn't have been such a sore point, huh? That's good to know. Without his pet giant he'll be a lot less of a threat. ]

[Listen, everyone's allowed to get a little tense about certain things. Or people. If Gojyo can lose his mind about Hakkai, Hazel can get defensive about Gat. Fair's fair!]

Whatever for? [lol.... no but really, he's not sure what all everyone remembers, considering the place they're in. He's made a paltry effort to look his bias in the eyes on rare occasions, so - honestly, what for this time?] Genuine question, hand to God. Ya got a list of grievances directed towards me, and we all gotta make some kinda peace with the things we've done.

[ Is he serious? ...He seems to be serious. Goddamn, how cold does a man have to be to do the shit he's done and not even remember it?

But then again, it's shit he did to monsters, so maybe that's it, huh? ]

Well you can start by convincin' me that it wasn't you who sliced Goku up.

[He's done a lot of shit, to be fair. He won't take it back, but he hasn't had a couple years alone with his ability to consider it "wretched" for nothing.

But, uh, he was not expecting the first thing to be something he didn't actually do. Hm!]

The boy was hurt? [Was this before or after he nearly destroyed a small town-- it's the only time he can think of that makes sense, so-] Have ya ever seen me slice a fella up? I don't carry a fine blade like yours, and Gat's only ever been armed with his guns.

[ No, he didn't think it was Hazel either, but he was the only asshole around at the time, so... ]

You can raise the dead, Hazel-han. It's not a big stretch to guess that you might have some other tricks up your sleeves.

[ But his reaction seems genuine enough, which is what Gojyo was really looking for. ...Good. That's good. One less thing to worry about. ]

I reckon that's fair. [He can mumble a Bible verse and blast things kind of pitifully, but just look at Gat and the questions of why Hazel wouldn't need more tricks up his sleeves should be answered.

He frowns, though; it's not as if Sanzo told him much even when their little group separated and Sanzo came his way. It took him days just to get the man on the topic of Ukoku— what does he know other than Goku and Seiten Taisei are one and the same? Please.]

Meanin' no offense, but do ya really think Mister Sanzo would leave y'all for my company if there were even an ounce of doubt in him pointin' to me as the one who hurt the boy?

[ Sanzo doesn't always think clearly when it comes to Goku -- witness exhibit A, him running off like a fool when Goku got hurt, and then abandoning the kid after he healed up. But these aren't things Gojyo has any intention of sharing with Hazel. Instead, he just snorts. ]

So then, apology number two: trying to take Hakkai's soul.

[That, and he walks too fast. Rude of him.

The next one makes him blink again, less surprised; he remembers that part, at least. He shrugs, palms up, shaking his head slightly.]

I can't take a soul from a man before he's died. He wasn't on his last breath yet, if I'm rememberin' this clearly.

[ No, no trying to duck out of this one, princess. ]

And you were standin' over him with your magic necklace out and ready to go, if I'm rememberin' this clearly.

Well, he pulled through. It was some kinda miracle. [Sure. Sure...] He was the one who was askin' after my spare souls on Gat's behalf, y'know. I can only carry so many around with me at a time.

[ Something clicks in the back of Gojyo's mind, and he gives Hazel and appraising look. Hazel remembers Hakkai surviving that fight too. It's not just his memories against the 'death' that their captors put into Elsa's mind. That's such a huge relief! He's not crazy, thank fuck. ]

Well, if you ever try that trick again you might find your magic necklace wedged somewhere miiighty uncomfortable. [ Yup, the terrible drawl is back. ] Be a miracle it'll fit.
