Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Hmph. Suit yourself. I'm just telling you how I'd do it.

[Touchy, touchy. Hazel flaps a hand at him - the one without the feather duster in it, mercifully.]

Alright, no need to make that face. [ha ha. that face.] My name's Hazel, by the way.

[ Face? What face? Konzen frowns, probably making exactly the kind of face this Hazel means. ]

..... Konzen.

[ he says, after a long pause. As if he wasn't really sure he wanted to say it, but couldn't think of an excuse not to. ]

[That's the face. Hazel has no idea what's going on, but damn if it isn't the funniest. Look at this guy and his absolutely identical face...]

He does have regular manners. [He only does this because Konzen stared at him in silence like a weirdo.] Nice to meet ya, Mister Konzen.

[bon_bon]

[ He makes another face. ]

Just Konzen.

[ Yeah, no one calls him Mister. He purposely leaves off with the 'nice to meet you too,' because if anything, Konzen is honest. Besides, he was never good at fake niceties. ]

[Aha.]

Alright, Mister Just Konzen, [yes he did] thanks for the help. Couldn't've done it without ya.

[ Oh no he didn't. Konzen scowls at the answer, because it's obviously on purpose. ]

Hn. You should clean the table after you're done.

[ And he starts to climb down. But the table is very wobbly and he grabs at the shelf to steady himself. Crap. ]

[Cool, things he won't be doing. Great plan. Whatever comment he has this time is cut off when Konzen wobbles, because Konzen wobbling makes the whole table shake even more and Hazel is forced to make a grab for the shelf, too...

Ah.

Ah yes. It's definitely going to tip forward.]

[ Aaaand tip forward it does. One of the legs on the table must have come loose from all their trampling around on top. (This is why you should use a ladder, you dumbass Hazel!) Konzen gives an undignified yelp before he pitches right off the table onto the floor.

And for good measure, the shelf he'd grabbed onto also comes loose, emptying its contents (books, mostly) on top of the god pile. ]

[Hey now, Hazel is tiny and agile, not a string bean like some people who climbed up here! It was steady until Konzen showed up!!

But toppling over onto the floor is more immediately concerning than whose fault it is, as down goes. A book hits him in the stomach, making him wheeze.

So the cleaning is going great. Hazel frowns up at the ceiling, from the floor.]

...Y'gonna help pick all this up?

[ Oi, Konzen is also agi- okay, he's not agile by any stretch of the imagination. But he's not exactly big, either. Anyway, this is Hazel's fault for using a table to begin with, end of discussion.

By some miracle, the shelf itself clatters to the floor next to them instead of cracking either of them on the skull. It still doesn't take away from the frustrating fact that it came off the wall at all, and has just made a big mess on the floor. Konzen groans and struggles to sit up. Books flop off of him, happily dust-free. (He did do an excellent job of dusting, thank you very much).

He rubs his arm where one of the corners of the books stabbed him. ]

Hmph.

[ Yeah, yeah. He will help. He glances at him from the corner of his eye though, just to make sure Hazel's not like really injured. ]

[He's alright, if not likely to bruise in a few places from the fall and the book that landed on him. He shoves that one away and sits up, rubbing at the back of his head. Ow...]

That a yes or a no? We've already established I'm not tall enough to make it happen all by my lonesome.
