Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

...I don't think there's every a way to "cure the world of all ill"-- especially not forever. It's a work in progress. And there will always be more people to help and more situations to fix. Still, if I can help the majority, or even a few... [ A nod. ] I'll try my best.

I'll dedicate my all.

[He crosses his arms.] You've picked a difficult path to walk, my lady. It will be an uphill task, thankless and tiring.

But I agree with you; a god should care for their followers and for creation.

[And finally, finally there's a smile. A small one, warm with approval and hope, soft with kindness and care, and filled with gladness. Sanae may be different from him in many ways, but her core values were similar to his. There are some areas of her personality that could use a little fine-tuning (she can't always be this super excited and friendly about everything), but overall? She is someone he can take pride in serving. Someone who will see injustice righted and the poor fed and the downtrodden uplifted.

She is his god, and he is her shinki. And he is glad for that.]

So I, as a shinki, will work hard to help you accomplish your ambition. I do not know much about my new existence so I beg for my lady's patience in these early days, but I will learn as fast and as much as I can.

[ Oh... A smile. A warm smile from him, one of approval.

She returns that smile to him. ] Just because you're my shinki, doesn't mean you can't pray to me for help or miracles, too. So... I'll help you with whatever you need with adjusting to this time. [ She reaches for her hot chocolate, and raises it up in a toast. There's no alcohol in it, but that doesn't stop her from making it a friendly gesture. ]

I hope that we can be the best team of shinki and god that we can be, to bring happiness and safety to as many people as we can. [ The look in her eyes is fond. ] Kampai.

Ganbei. [Their cups clink, and he...gulps down the entire cup of hot chocolate because guess what that's how people in the 2nd century roll whenever they said cheers. Suffice to say that when he's done he's coughing and trying to clear his throat (it was really hot ok it's a miracle he didn't scald his throat.)]

[ She stops and stares for a moment. Because did he just down a whole mug of hot chocolate?? She nearly spit-takes. Nearly. Thankfully instead she hands him a napkin as he coughs. ] That's--...hot chocolate isn't an alcoholic drink.

But I have to say the way you drank that in one gulp is pretty impressive! Maybe some other day we can go out and have a few drinks! [ Surprise surprise even though Sanae is a Touhou she is still fairly light weight. In comparison to the other Touhous, that is. ]
