closed - won't you try to come
Who: Elsa
arealhardnose and Hajime
birdstheword
What: Thread tracking (no, really)
Where: Neith's temple
When: April 17
Warnings: Sadness
Finally, the homesickness becomes too much to bear. If she can't physically go to California to check on her friends, then Elsa will seek the help of someone who can do something close enough. Around mid-morning, she heads to Neith's temple in search of Hajime, anxious over what she may hear, confident that Hajime will do her best to find some answers for her.
"Hello?" she calls after knocking on the front door. "Hajime? It's Elsa."
It's Elsa, and the memory of six new friends and the man who could be so much more than just a dance partner.

"Elsa-san! Hello! It's good to see you! I didn't expect you to stop by!"
The door gets pulled even farther open as she steps to the side to allow her entry. She uses her free hand to wave her inside as if that'll help coaxes her to join her inside the temple.
"Come in! Come in!"

"Surprise!" she says as she walks inside. "I've been meaning to come over for a while, actually. It's just been a little hectic." Which is an understatement, but Elsa isn't going to discuss personal matters outside of the persons in question. "How have you been?"

Hajime just beams as she lets go of the door once Elsa is inside. The temple big and spacious but clearly not without Hajime's personal touch. The main room has been turned into a living room filled with colorful cushions and brightly painted walls to match.
"You're always welcomed over! Or if you get super busy again, you just have to call me and I'll zoom by super fast! No worries." This is all said with genuine enthusiasm. She moves her hand from left to right as if to show the motion of "zoom". Besides morning jogs and hanging out with other friends and her shinki, Hajime will make openings anywhere for someone.
"I've been good! I got a new friend staying here now. I'm trying to help him settle in since he just arrived two days ago. Other then that it's been super quiet.... What about you? How have you been? Oh! Oh! Are you hungry or anything? I can get some snacks!"

And actually, the answer to the question of how she's doing is the reason she's here. Even alongside Hajime's vibrant cheer, Elsa's smile dims just a bit.
"I've been thinking. You can see people's life threads, right?" Of course she can. It's not a secret. It's just that she would never just assume that Hajime would agree to a suggestion involving her power. "I was wondering if you could check on some people for me. From home."
And at that she does look a little bashful. Here she is, head of the only school here, and she's letting nostalgia get the best of her.

Hajime repeats the words slowly, her head tilting a bit to the side. Her smile is still in place but her eyes reflect a thoughtfulness. She doesn't have to think the request over at all, that isn't it! Nope! It's just...
"I don't...really know where 'home' is. But! I can try! I'll do my best for you Elsa-san!" She chirps up quickly. MAybe it'll work? Maybe this time it'll work. Who knows? As gods, they were suppose to get stronger right? She doesn't want to let Elsa down.

But Elsa won't give up just yet, not if Hajime won't.
"Home is Reefside, California. I can show you a map if that will help? And I have their names. Anton Mercer, Trent Fernandez." And a few others, but them first. No sense making Hajime try looking for all of them at once.

"I donno if that would help but we can try! Wow you lived all the way in California?" Hajime herself is a natural born resident from Japan so its amazing to hear about distant places. California was where a bunch of movie stars and such lived, wasn't it?
"Tell me about them! It might make it easier to find who I'm looking for."

"Anton is a scientist andd a businessman -- his field is palentology, and his business deals in sophisticated technology. He adopted Trent a long time ago. Trent just graduated from high school, and he's going to art school in the fall. He's a very talented artist, already co-wrote and co-drew a comic book."
She may just be rattling off facts, but Elsa's voice is fond as she talks about them, her gaze a little far off, her smile softening. These are people she has come to really care about, especially after everything that happened to them last year.
