[School Repeat Investigation Log]
Who: Tsuzuki Asato and all other planned participants!
Where: The school from the April 5th ayakashi attack
When: April 18th
What: Log for Tsuzuki's planned school investigation. There are still questions he'd like to see answered. Here is where they'll go work it out!
Warnings: None at the moment; will update if this changes!
[It's a normal-looking Monday morning at the school... so normal that it's as if the events of a week and a half ago never happened. It seems like there are more students here than before, and the rest of the teachers have returned from their sick leave and can be seen in the classrooms or keeping order in the halls.
The school year is winding swiftly down towards its end, as the last of the Near Shore cherry blossoms fall and tulips bloom in the flowerbeds on the school grounds.
But what really did happen here? And why?
There are a few new faces here, ready to find out....]

[Breakfast at Tajimamori's]
He's also gotten three dozen donuts and made plenty of tea and coffee for everyone, because even if they're just going to meet up briefly at Tajimamori's temple before they teleport off to the school, it'll be nice to have some snacks for the early arrivals while they wait.
... And, besides, he'll get to eat all of the leftover donuts later himself.]
[ooc; please feel free to put any chatting/ic partner planning threads here if you want!]

[...Her stomach rolled as her nose instantly picked up doughnuts and coffee and tea. Which she was a bit embarrassed to realize she registered that before she registered the man already there with them. A faint spark of recognition came to mind (the school, she thought?) before she approached, questioning a bit tentatively]
Hey...Tsuzuki, right?
no subject
[He's pretty sure he knows her face from the school, and they'd talked on the network, but he's a little shaky on which face goes with which name still.]
Hey, have something to eat! I got enough for everybody.
no subject
[She smiled a little...and a bit more genuinely at the offer of something to eat. She had enough self-consciousness to feel a bit of shame but, well, she was learning to appreciate what food she could get. She picked out a doughnut (before surreptitiously taking another as she grabbed tea) and said]
Thanks. It's definitely a nice surprise. [She found herself glancing over how much there was before continuing] Oh-um, how many people are coming?
[It was a lot of stuff, after all.]
no subject
(Possibly, people who aren't Tsuzuki don't. But better safe than sorry!)]
Nice to meet you too! How've you been settling in? You're a little newer, right?
no subject
[And make sure the food doesn't go to waste. Or at least, Psyche isn't, as she mostly devours the chocolate doughnut she's holding within a few bites before washing it down with slow slips of tea (mostly to prevent her from burning her tongue). Once the initial rush of sugar and caffeine goes through her]
Yeah, I am. I actually came her when things at the school was going on. [Sip, followed by a slightly curious] You were there too I think, right?

[School Daze]
[ooc; this starter is for all at-the-school investigation threads, to help keep them organized!]
questioning [closed to Reiji]
Genos wouldn't normally pay much attention to Reiji, taking him for any other student. But it's the questions he's asking that piques his interest. Did he just mention the principal? That makes Genos retreat his steps back and observe closer.
He seems to have problems being noticed by the students, but once he does the conversation seems to flow naturally. There is a high chance that he just met another resident of the Far Shore, with similar goal to his own. ]
YO
Reiji has wrestled with this problem quite a few times, but his natural countenance seems to help at least a little. It certainly did let him successfully buy a music player for himself, and it's working on some of the students - especially the girls. He's currently interviewing one of them - a third-year. She's definitely willing to give him some time, but it seems she doesn't know a lot about the principal's involvement, so he lets her leave once he's done.
He hasn't noticed Genos yet. Maybe he should call out to him? ]
no subject
Have you learnt anything about the principal?
no subject
Just a few facts. Nothing major yet, maybe I've been asking the wrong people. I heard he was stealing some money from the school.
[ Hopefully that helps. ]

[Evidence Collection Go-Closed to Nageki]
[Psyche wasn't entirely sure how to feel about how 'normal' everything felt now. However, it did mean one thing: the teacher's room would still be mostly vacant during classes, allowing her a chance to retrieve a charm or two that'd been there before.
[She surreptitiously shuffled through the room, moving papers and books and bags with care. She frowned. Had some of the teachers just stopped using them after the attack had finished?]
no subject
He flips through a book. Just math.]
I didn't look around when we were here last.
no subject
{Psyche's shoulders jumped a little, at Nageki's presence. She said, a bit quickly, as she placed her own book down]
Sorry... [That was part of the problem with being able to blend into the scenery - it was easy to forget herself too, at times. Then, after fiddling with a strand of her hair] I did a little looking around here before, when things were going on, I mean. I was actually trying to find some charms that were here, too.
[closed to Tsuzuki!]
Previous plans mean that he can't exactly approach the teachers directly. Milling around on his own has only given him minimal information. What plans are for dinner, for example, or one teacher's dislike of another teacher's outfit. Nothing particularly informing, but entertaining enough to keep him busy.
He's actually listening in on one teacher's disgruntled thoughts about a problematic student when he spots Tsuzuki, and he lifts a hand in greeting.]
Anything interesting yet?
no subject
[He shrugs easily, pausing next to the other god.]
You? Anything interesting?
no subject
[Nothing surprising, though. Joshua lifts a hand, waving it off.]
Lots of gossip, but unfortunately nothing that pertains to our investigation. The teacher's lounge is like a TV drama waiting to happen, though.
no subject
[He half-grins at the mention of the teacher's lounge, and glances over at Joshua.] Just from all the gossip, huh? You can't even have been in there that long! We just got here an hour ago.

[The Principal Suspect]
His neighbors say he's a huge shut-in, but sometimes, in the middle of the night, there are strange lights visible....]
[ooc; this starter is for the characters who are at the principal's house investigating!]
no subject
Is this the place?
sorry for the delay!
This's it.
[It's a foreboding place, or maybe he's just projecting: anyway, there's a low stone wall around it, and a garden, and the house itself is a modern two-story place set further back from the road than Tsuzuki would've expected.]
... So, Nagi ought to be around here somewhere.
for Omi + Kurama
He has a nagging feeling he's done this sort of thing before, though it was probably from the comfort of a nondescript vehicle. He probably could have procured one if he wanted, but the street is a little too sparsely residential. A neighborhood busybody would instantly spot a car that didn't belong.
Fortunately, being from the Far Shore makes surveillance a lot easier, even out in the relative open. No one has spotted him yet.
He eventually rejoins Omi, updating him with his findings from the stake-out so he could formulate a plan.
The date for the break-in is set. They'll detain the principal for questioning, secure the premises, and gather intelligence. After a brief meet up at Tsuzuki's place, they teleport over with the blink of an eye. At the moment, they stand outside across the street, near the post from where Nagi had been surveying the house the day before. ]
He has no alarm system in place. He might have wards, though.
[ An alarm system, he can easily hack and disable. The latter, that's out of his purview. ]
no subject
No wards, either, but he is collecting power. I'll go empty his rain barrels.
[He blinks out of existence and then in again, crouched under a window visible from where Nagi and Omi are still standing; from here he can also see part of the backyard, and more importantly one of the so-called rain barrels. It's a set of markings on the grass itself, drawing in power but never seeming to grow any stronger. Fascinating.
It shouldn't take much effort to deal with, so he tosses Nagi and Omi a thumbs-up and then moves further into the backyard to get a better look.]
no subject
Omi takes hold of Nagi's forearm to teleport them to the back door. It's less conspicuous there. It will be up to Nagi to unlock the door so that they can enter the house without creating a disturbance.]
no subject
He nods at Omi when they arrive with a flash at the back door. He proceeds to feel out the lock on the other side. It's a flip deadbolt, easily maneuvered. If a key was necessary, he would have had to concentrate harder to get the locking mechanism aligned just so. The door unlocks but he doesn't open it until he gets Omi's queue. ]
