Who: Everyone!
What: Sparring, training etc
When: All day March 2nd
Where: A fancy pants gym in the far shore
Summary: There's a war going on and it won't be won sitting around twiddling your thumbs. Time to work up a sweat and earn yourself a few bruises and bragging rights in the process.

Turns out the far shore isn't devoid of some of the more earthly facilities enjoyed in life. Not the least of which is a gym. And not just one of those, hot cramps, 24/7 affairs but a whole arena that looks like it might have been plucked out of some classical epic. A real gym for the stars. Or the gods as it were. Upon finding it, it leaves Shepard with just a few ideas and today is the day they come to fruition. A couple days back, guests and residents alike recieve a mass invitation with the time and the place to come spar, train and otherwise get together to work out this situation.

The Main Event;
The largest space is dominated by a number of sparring rings for everyone to take advantage of. And off on the sidelines is ever possible melee weapons one could imagine. It's the perfect time to work on your skills before another wave of ayakashi show up to catch you and your shinki off guard. Some of the rings are even dotted with practice dummies for those pairs that are still figuring out exactly how this god and shinki thing works together. Or perhaps you'd like to pick up some new abilities. You never know when you might be caught off guard with only a bottle opener and a ball of twine to defend yourself. Just grab a partner and have at it.

The Shooting Range;
You didn't think the far shore's most vocal gun advocate would leave this out did you? But it's not just guns that stock the racks at this range. Bows and arrows from all ages as well as a rather impressive collection of throwing knives lay amidst the firearms. You might even find the odd slingshot or two if you really look hard enough. But target practice is target practice which makes this the perfect time to engage in some friendly competition with your neighbor, regardless
of the weapon.

Combat Instruction;
Perhaps some of you come from a world where war is the furthest thing from your mind. Where the worst you have to worry about is whether or not you passed that last exam or when that girl down the street might finally notice you. But to some, your recruitment into the battle against the Ayakashi is just one more stage in the mundane fight that's followed you for most of your life. There's novices and experts alike and this is where both can come together to share their skills. We're all in this together brogamis.

The Water Cooler;
More like a whole corner of the gym that's stocked with not only water, but juice, energy drinks, power bars and all manner of refreshments. There's a pile of clean towels for those of you that really work up a sweat and a bin for you to kindly dispose of them. After a hard day of hitting the gym, it's always nice to relax, unwind, maybe shoot the shit with a few new friends. Or enemies. No one said you had to get along and that was the last bag of chips after all.

Yeah, sure. Totally comfortable.

[The look on Susano'o's face was enough to shake him for a moment. It looked like he was about to kill somebody, and Tsuzuki thinks it might be a good idea not to make any sudden moves in case murder isn't off the table yet.]

So I guess you guys are friends, huh?

Don't apply arbitrary functions, Tsuzu-ku~n. [ He sing-songs that last bit, apparently shamelessly picking up Hajime's nickname for Tajimamori. It certainly sounds less endearing when it's coming from him. ]

Friendship is garbage. Who needs it? [ The whole crunching and adding to the heap seems implied. Seriously, he's got his math and his art. Friendship sounds like nonsense that can't begin to stack up to those. ]

[Stubborn as ever. Susano'o just needed some time to understand.]

Bzzt! Bzzt! That's not true, Susu-kun! Friends are super important. Don't you like sharing your talent with art with someone? Friends have a way of...'factoring' themselves! And helping you whenever!

[She turns back to Tsuzuki, holding out her hand to help him up with a big smile. C'mon don't just sit there. Susano'o isn't that scary.]

Right?

[Susano'o is incredibly scary, but Tsuzuki'll take the hand up anyway. He lets the nickname slide past. It's a cute nickname, anyway, even if he doesn't like the way the older god is saying it.]

Yeah, I'm with you, Ha-chan. It's great having friends around.

[ Minamimoto scoffs, rolling his eyes rather dramatically. Not even trying to adopt one of his terms is going to bring him around on this one so easily. ]

You epsilons can factor yourselves all you want. [ He eyes Tsuzuki, feeling arbitrarily territorial. He'd better realize that Sho's called dibs on her as his personal arts and crafts audience. She'd brought him glitter that one time, after all, so the logic was clear. ] Art's zetta different, so don't get any ideas.

Yeah! You get it, Tsuzu-kun! I knew you would!

[ Hajime beams at Tsuzuki as he agrees with her and takes her extended hand. She proceeds to help him back up to his feet. Susano'o just didn't get it yet. It would take time and that was something Hajime surely had. There's no way she'd leave out her new super fast arts and crafts buddy. It would be a challenge but she'll just have to give it her all. She looks over her shoulder back to Susano'o.]

But I don't want to leave you out, Susu-kun! I like you alot!---Oh!! Question!

[Her hand shoots up in the air before pointing at the large 'art project' that Susano'o is still sitting on. While they are on the subject of art:]

How long did it take you to make this one, Susu-kun? It's huuuggge! Super hard to miss! Don't you think so, Tsuzu-kun?
sweetdeath: (abuh?)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-04-10 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, this is an art project? Really? [Tsuzuki lets go of Hajime's hand as he gets his balance and just stares. It's huge. It's basically made of scrap metal. It's cool how it holds together, but nope, he still can't see the part where it's art.]

T equals eight hours. Picowatt is useless with the bigger components, so I had to go on a scavenger hunt early on. [ Then, aimed vaguely at Tsuzuki: ] What the factor else would it be?

[ Wasn't it obvious? He makes a particularly pissy grumbling noise. Still, it's an improvement. Hajime's presence has apparently kept him from ramping back up to 'may possibly commit murder out of hand' once again. ]

It looks like it has Susu-kun's touch, right? I don't think anyone could make something like this but him. Take more then the face value. It's like a signature piece of work you know?

[Hajime nudges Tsuzuki before she gestures to the 'Art project' with wide open arms. Art was a very subjective thing. Everyone had different tastes and ideas when it came to it. Seeing something made from scratch gave a bit of an idea of what that person was like. What made them tick.

Sure at first it may look like a random pile of junk. Rough around the edges and a bit of an eye sore to most but to her it was an expression. There was time and detail that went into it. Everything had a calculated place, even if it didn't seem like it. Complex and more than what was on the surface. Sturdy. Like Susano'o]

Uwahh~! I can tell you put some time into it just by looking! You did amazing! Good job!

[Have a big thumbs up Susano'o! Hajime approves!]

Can I take a picture? Please!---Oh! I found the street light I couldn't get before. It's at my shrine if you're still interested~!

Well, I don't know a whole lot about art...

[Especially this kind of super-modern stuff.]

It's pretty sturdy, though, isn't it? Is it welded or something?

[He prods again at one of the nearer bits of junk sticking out of the structure, which, again, stubbornly refuses to move.]

-- Wait, did you build it here?

[Is it sturdy enough to move? That would be a real accomplishment.]
