Who: Slaine Troyard [personal profile] adept and Hibari Kyoya [personal profile] disciplineking
What: A run-in and kittens.
When: Afternoon 3/9
Where: Town
Summary: Exploring a bruiser's fluffy side.

[Slaine's making good time as he rounds a corner and cuts through an alleyway, folded slip of paper in one hand. He's no sure why exactly his god tasks him with such things as grocery shopping, but he doesn't have a mind to argue about it - well. He debated a few of the select items on that list, to be sure, and asked how to pronounce others...but that aside.

He's focused on the task he's been set to, debating the most efficient way to get everything he's supposed to and considering jobs he might get for more funds. So he doesn't notice a carboard box right in his path until his boot makes contact with it, resulting in a low scraping noise and a chorus of high little cries.

Which leaves him blinking down wide-eyed at a box of kittens.

...Who leaves a a box of kittens out on the street?

Having unfortunately kicked that box he pockets his shopping list and kneels to get a better look]

Sorry...

[For kicking their...this isn't their home is it? He should hope not...]

And just like that, his irritation drains away again. If he thought something like that was stepping all over his pride...Ren sighs and tugs his hand through his hair. "You really are a lot like how I used to be..."

As he has said to Yukine, maybe the way to deal with that was to say what he wished Tetsu would have said...but he's not sure having someone just say something to him would have worked and it almost certainly won't work here. So maybe he should just go back to what he had been doing for a little while longer.

"If I was going to try to control you, I would just do it instead of asking. I've left you alone, haven't I?" He carefully takes the black kitten in his hands, makes sure he's free of the others, and gets to his feet as he goes on, "And I'm going to leave you alone again. Just think about it, okay? Okay, kitten, let's go find a good sunny spot to take a nap..."

And unless hibari decides to stop him, he'll be absconding with the kitten now to keep his word and go on leaving Hibari alone.
