[It sure has been an eventful day, but Jae-Ha is a man who doesn't back down on his promises! ...Especially when he's been pestered on the internet about it again. He has to check on Keito now, too, so there shouldn't be any problem with jumping over to see one of these "movies." His very first!

He lands outside of the temple grounds, as he's promised to, and approaches the door by foot. So, when Keito finally comes to greet him, he immediately offers forward a box of "lightly buttered" popcorn, as he was instructed to bring.]

Hellooo, big brother has arrived. [Why is he like this.] Do I have to wear slippers again?

I never agreed to be your little brother.

[Keito trades the box for the same broken slippers Jae-ha wore last time.]

If you have to ask that you might as well stay out there. Slippers or bare feet. The rules haven't changed.

[He checks the popcorn and nods.] Close the door. [Because he's leaving it open, bringing the popcorn into the kitchen and grabbing the... thick folder of Japanese practice sheets he's drafted up.

It's a really, really big folder.]

[He could slip into these broken slippers pretty fast, but it's a little odd, after everything else. And now that so much has happened with his own situation, he feels like... it's fine if someone like Keito sees. He already knows, so why not?

So, for the sake of comfort and not completely destroying these slippers more, he leaves both sets at the door, closes it, and heads inside barefoot to stare in amazement at those sheets.]

Are those all for me?

[lecturehall]

[That sure is a green, scaly foot. Keito glances at it before dismissing it and shoving the folder into Jae-ha's hands.]

Yeah. Didn't I tell you? A month's worth of worksheets. Most of it is hiragana and katakana. It's important to learn the easier alphabets first before moving on to kanji.

[He pats the folder and then walks away again. At least this time he's gesturing for Jae-ha to follow.] I managed to get the movie. Kiryu helped me figure out the new DVD player so we could watch. It should be all loaded up now.

[He motions for Jae-ha to sit down in front of the TV. It's still playing that repetitive DVD menu bullshit. Keito doesn't seem to mind despite it featuring a poorly looped early 90s track.]

I'll be right back with the popcorn.

[aka Jae-ha might hear some alarming popping sounds coming from the kitchen.]

[Well, he was going to follow Keito to discover how popcorn is made, but instead, he's distracted by the menu. The worksheets, and now this... Keito is such a good guy.

Jae-Ha isn't sitting when Keito comes back because he's too close to the tv, trying to figure out how it works. This means he's just staring at it from different angles and not understanding how it works.]

I had no idea that sound could come from it, as well. [He's only seen weird billboards...]

[lecturehall]

[Tada. Enter Keito stage kitchen, holding freshly made popcorn. He could have made two bowls—one for each of them—but portion size is important to keep in mind.

He stops short when he sees Jae-ha.]

It's times like this I'm reminded of how much of an embarrassment you are.

[Well, it's not completely his fault. Keito proceeds to the couch, cradling the popcorn in his lap.]

Get away from there. You're too close. You'll strain your eyes.

[razzledazzles]

Hmm?

[Strain his eyes? He doesn't get it, but that's fine, he'll take a few steps back from the TV.] What's embarrassing? Oh, is this the popped corn?

[Or whatever it was called. Distracted by this bowl, he scoots closer and picks one up to hold between his fingers.] It's light!

[lecturehall]

Yeah.

[God. It's like minding an infant. Well, it's not like it's the worst brat he's dealt with. And the revelation of "popped corn" is endearing enough.

Keito plucks the popcorn out of Jae'ha's fingers.]

Open your mouth.

[razzledazzles]

[What

He blinks, looking shocked at the suggestion for a moment before he... hesitantly... opens his mouth?? Like this?]

Prepare yourself.

[He says it so seriously.

Right before he tosses the popcorn into Jae-ha's mouth. It goes in. The crowd cheers!! Keito plops down on the couch.]

[razzledazzles]

[What the fuck, don't be cute. Jae-Ha catches the popcorn with a surprised blink, thankfully not choking on it as he chews. Oh... The texture is what he'd expect, but it's way saltier!]

That doesn't taste a thing like corn. [He joins him on the couch.] I do like it, though.
