[OPEN] Say it ain't so!

Who: Sora & Roxas, Sora & OPEN
What: Sora wakes up a few days later after Axel is killed and finds out the bad news. Open prompt for visitors or door crashers.
When: April 30 late afternoon and May 1
Where: Lakshmi’s Temple
Warnings: Probably talk of body injuries

[ Closed to Roxas ]

[Sora hasn’t woken up in two days.

After escaping Axel with Riku Replica and leaving the fight to Leo and Saix, Sora barely managed to stay alive and make it to Forrest’s temple. Thankfully, Sora did manage to get there with his last ounce of strength with a final teleport.

He lays in a bed in Forrest’s temple. Sleeping and healing slowly thanks to the healing pools. But it’s not only blight Sora suffered so he lays banaged from the bloody wounds he received from the battle as well.]

[ May 1; OPEN ]

[The day after waking up, Sora still can’t walk very much without feeling fatigued. He’s tired and weak and still healing very slowly.

But the bright side is, Sora is awake now and he’ll welcome anyone who wants to come visit him. People probably want answers and Sora might just have them. He currently lays in bed, propped up with pillows and looks really bored.

He’s decided to stay at Forrest’s temple just for a few extra days until he can walk on his own again. There’s bandages up his left arm and on his torso as well. Sora got pretty banged up and it wasn’t just blight.]

[Roxas grumbles at Sora, a blush once again covering his cheeks. He lowers his voice till it's almost inaudible.] Bathing and changing clothes.

[Bras are very hard to put on. How do girls manage it so easily????]

No you won't. You're probably gonna have a ton of visitors, so you'll be too busy. Which is why I'm gonna go out and do stuff.

You're blushing so hard right now, Roxas!

[He laughs happily, glad that Roxas is humoring him instead of getting angry and storming off. He'll lay off now. He's thankful for the laugh.]

I dunno, people might come to visit but that doesn't mean I wanna sit in the same room forever.

[He's bad at sitting still, bed rest is the worst. What's he even gonna do when people do leave? Stare at his phone? Count sheep?

Sora then leans back into the water and starts to float.]

[Roxas is thankful at the moment that he wears shirts of any kind with hoods. Easier to hide his face with right now as he pulls it down.] Y-You would be too if you had to deal with that for a week!

It's not like I can be here with you 24/7. [Despite liking spending time with Sora, he does have his own things to do.]

A little boredom isn't gonna kill you since you need the rest.

[Sora tries to stifle his laughter with a hand.] Well at least you can say you know how the other half lives now! Look on the bright side! I bet you made a great girl!

[These healing waters are really nice. Floating around like a fish and already he's feeling better than he did when he woke up.]

But I am gonna die, Roxas. Boredom is my worst enemy!

[He's joking, he'll be fine. Besides friends visiting he can always bug people on the BBS.]

... No. I don't think I did. [But it does help with his whole goddess situation.]

Stay here one more day after today and I'll take you home myself. Okay?

[Looks more like an otter floating. Roxas pulls his knees to his chest as just watches Sora with an amused expression.]

[Sora smiles warmly and starts to kick around a little as he floats about. Wheeee.]

Okay. Pinky promise?

[That sounds like a fair deal to him. Even if he still needed rest afterwards, he could do it at home too.]

And don't think about pushing yourself too much the next few days either. I'll be mad.

[Roxas could make comments about how cute Sora was being. He'll refrain for the moment.]

I'm not going back in the water just for a pinky promise.

[.... See, here's the thing. He's not going to be resting for the next few days. There's too much going on.]

I'll try not to.

[Sora lets his body go limp in the water for a moment but then gently kicks at the water to float himself over to Roxas. He reaches the edge of the pool head first and looks up at Roxas who's upside down in his view.]

Do you really mean that?

[After all this happening... Sora has a feeling Roxas isn't going to let himself really rest much at all. And that's not a good idea. Roxas needs to take it easy too.]

[The temptation to dunk Sora was a little too hard to resist. Roxas refrains and nods.]

Yeah. As soon as you wake up, we can go back to your place. It's warmer there.

[Taking it easy isn't an option right now. He hopes Sora will understand someday. Roxas has pieces of this puzzle to find and he doesn't want Sora involved if he could help it.]

[Sora watches Roxas for a short moment and then looks away. He then holds his hand up for the pinky promise.]

Remember, pinky promises are unbreakable.

[He'll have to take Roxas at face value then. He trusts Roxas will take care of himself, for his sake in the least. He'll sure have a mouthful for him if he doesn't.]

[Now Roxas feels guilty sitting heavy in his chest. He has no idea if he'll be able to make good on that promise. He doesn't take Sora's pinky just yet.]

Would it make you feel better if I came right back after visiting Pippa tomorrow? If you have visitors, I can just find something to do around here.

[It might placate Sora more and make him less suspicious of Roxas. It won't mean he's resting, but at least Roxas won't be gone all day like he planned.]

Is that a better promise?

[Sora pouts and and ducks himself completely in the water and when he pops his head back out he moves to rest his arms on the edge of the pool next to Roxas.]

You don't have to stick around I know you have things you want to do.

[He's not sure what things and it's kind of bothering him but at the same time he doesn't know if he should pry more or ask or what.

He just wants Roxas to take care of himself while dealing with all this. He smiles.]

Really, I'll be fine! Just come see me when you can. Okay?

[Great. Sora is upset. Roxas sighs and looks away as he tries to think of how to fix this.]

I just gotta make sure Senri and Raichi are okay, and why Pippa hasn't contacted me. After that I've got nothing. [He thinks back to the flower viewing night and nods to himself. Leaning over, Roxas kisses the top of Sora's head. This made the other happy last time. Will it this time?]

I don't mind coming back whenever I'm done. I can text anyone else I want to talk to.

[He feels his heart bounce when Roxas kisses his head. He'd nearly forgotten about that happening at the flower viewing because of his intoxication. Not to mention how cuddly he'd been. He blushes lightly and nods, knowing Roxas is trying to reassure him. He looks up at Roxas with a genuine smile.]

That's fine by me! Thanks, Roxas.

[He knows he's probably being a little fussy with this whole thing but Sora really hates being alone too. He just feels better knowing Roxas is around. But he really does want Roxas to do what he needs to do right now as well, a lot just happened.]

[Roxas plans on leaving for the day before Sora wakes, so there's plenty of things he can get done. He knows a life away from Sora exists. Once the other is all better it'll be like it was before: Roxas spending all day doing whatever he wanted and coming home to Sora.]

I know. I promise. [He holds his finger out for Sora. One more reassurance before Roxas lets his mind wander about who the culprit was.]

[He'll be thankful for things going back to how they were as well. Late night chats and naps, that's what he wants again too. Things were all over the place right now. But it would get better. Slowly.

He brightens and hooks his pinky with Roxas'.] It's a promise!

But you know I'm adding another month to our sparring session date. For both our sakes.

[Roxas doesn't want to fight anyone anytime soon, even a friendly competition.]

No complaining. We can do other stuff.

A whole month? [Sora makes a face and blows a raspberry.] That's forever! Are you sure you want to wait forever?

[Injured or not, Sora will forever be competitive when it comes to sparring. He had been looking forward to that! A lot! A month is a million years away! What do now?!

By now Sora feels like he's turning into a prune, so he pulls himself out of the water to sit next to Roxas instead. His toes still kicking at the pool.]

I could make it longer. I got a lot more patient because of Koriko. [Kind of have to be at times. Especially with anyone named Sora and Yuma.

Roxas nudges Sora.]

I'm tired of fighting right now. I just want to do fun stuff again. I'll probably call Yuma in a few days and see if he wants to go hang out. I promised Katniss that I'd do some archery things with her.

No! Don't make it longer! Fine! [Roxas is sometimes just too good at pulling Sora back a few notches. It's almost unfair.

He nudges Roxas right back.] Is Yuma a friend? [He also perks up at the mention that Katniss does archery things.] She's good at archery too?! I really wanna meet her!

[Sora tilts his head.] Well I guess I could always ask Yuto and Yuya if they wanna play cards. They're trying to teach me this one game that has monsters that fight.

[That's because he lived in your heart. Roxas is always going to know what to do.]

Yeah. We went to an aquarium and it was a lot of fun. I knew a different Yuma before here, but there's differences between them. [Some big ones, to be honest.] I can invite her over sometime and you can meet her.

[He perks up.] Is it called Duel Monsters? The other Yuma taught me how to play that. This one has a deck!

[As usual, Sora's going to start bursting into all sorts of curious questions.]

Whoa! Was the aquarium the best ever? And another Yuma too, huh? Are they really different from each other? [He literally starts to fidget around, kicking the water again.] We haven't practiced archery for a while, I'd love to see how good she is at it! Think I could beat her? [YEAH ABOUT THAT SORA....]

Yeah! That's what it's called! [A gasp and a lightbulb.] We should all have a giant gaming night. That would be awesome. I'm not great at the game yet but Yuto is trying to teach me. Yuya is...really, really good. And I think he goes easy on us.

I've never been to one before last week, so I can't tell you. And yeah. This one is a lot calmer and doesn't run on roof tops. [Which is a really, really good thing.] Something tells me no. I think she'll beat me, too.

[Well...] Maybe. I don't know if Yuto likes me very much. I don't mind Yuya, even if he is kinda weird. I'll think about it.

[Sora laughs warmly. It's always so interesting to listen to all the different others Roxas knows from Koriko. A Yuma that runs on rooftops sounds funny.]

Wow, Katniss is that good? I didn't think anyone would be able to beat you, seeing as you're Artemis. I'd like to see you guys have a competition too. [He might be a little bias toward Roxas being the better one at Archery though.]

Haha, Yuto doesn't like anyone very much at first. He's just like that, but he's a good guy once you get to know him. But no pressure! I just think a get together would be cool, haven't had one outside of the parties that the heavens throw in a while now.

Just because I'm Artemis doesn't make me the best. I bet Hane can still beat me easily. [Roxas still makes mistakes despite training. It's only human. Probably.]

Right... As long as it's only a few people. Nothing big. I'm tired of big parties, they're too loud and messy.
