[Sora hasn’t woken up in two days.

After escaping Axel with Riku Replica and leaving the fight to Leo and Saix, Sora barely managed to stay alive and make it to Forrest’s temple. Thankfully, Sora did manage to get there with his last ounce of strength with a final teleport.

He lays in a bed in Forrest’s temple. Sleeping and healing slowly thanks to the healing pools. But it’s not only blight Sora suffered so he lays banaged from the bloody wounds he received from the battle as well.]

[ May 1; OPEN ]

[The day after waking up, Sora still can’t walk very much without feeling fatigued. He’s tired and weak and still healing very slowly.

But the bright side is, Sora is awake now and he’ll welcome anyone who wants to come visit him. People probably want answers and Sora might just have them. He currently lays in bed, propped up with pillows and looks really bored.

He’s decided to stay at Forrest’s temple just for a few extra days until he can walk on his own again. There’s bandages up his left arm and on his torso as well. Sora got pretty banged up and it wasn’t just blight.]

[He sits down on the edge of the bed.]

Is there anything else you need?

I'm okay right now, everyone's been fussing over me.

[He's got a fond smile on his face, though. He knows everyone cares.]

I think the worst part right now is trying not to get bored.

[He's really bad at sitting still in one place for too long. Bed rest is the worst.]

Good. I'm glad you're feeling better. I was worried when you collapsed outside the temple.

[Forrest gives a relieved smile in return.]

Hmm... well, perhaps we could play a game together to pass the time.

[oathkeeper]

Yeah... It was... bad.

[Sora pauses, looking tired.]

My shinki, he was a nora. He turned into an ayakashi and that's how I got all that blight.

[He knows Forrest deserves to know how and why he showed up the way he did.]

He... he what?

[Forrest's eyes go wide at that.]

I didn't even know that was possible.

[oathkeeper]

I didn't know either. He heard about his past and he grew into an ayakashi and we all got blighted from it.

[Sora frowns, remembering all the pain and confusion. Roxas had explained everything to him, but it still feels so unbelievable repeating it.]

Don't let your shinki learn their pasts, okay Forrest? Don't let them get hurt like that.

I didn't even know such a thing was possible! Why wouldn't they have told us about that when we arrived here?

[That seems incredibly irresponsible.]

I wasn't planning to tell Psyche what I know of her past, but now I'll make doubly certain not to mention it.

I thought the same thing. Leo got really angry about it too.

[He sighs softly, feeling exhausted.]

I don't know why it has to be this way, it seems really sad that they can't learn about their pasts without that happening. But it wasn't pretty... I never want to see that happen again.

I'm not surprised. There are few things that anger Father more than when someone withholds important information.

[Forrest's sigh echoes Sora's own as he shakes his head.]

The life of a shinki isn't very fair, is it? I feel bad for them.

[oathkeeper]

[The mirror image of Odin's two sons sighing at the exact same time is picture perfect.]

Sometimes I wonder if there is a way to change how it works. Some shinki randomly remember things and they don't get hurt. Shinki that learn from others? Get hurt. What makes it work that way? ...Maybe I should talk to Amaterasu.

I wonder if she knows. I don't think things have been working quite the same way for us as for the gods and shinki who were here before.

[oathkeeper]

Yeah sometimes I forget that. I think once I'm healed up I'm gonna go talk to her.

By the way, your healing pools are really great. They've been a big help! It's getting easier to walk around.

It certainly couldn't hurt.

And I'm glad to hear it. They can only really deal with blight, though.

[oathkeeper]

[Even if the healing pools only helped with blight the waters did help ease some of the stress on his body.

It makes him think-- if it wasn't for Forrest and Leo saving his life he'd probably be dead right now. He has a brief moment where the events of the last few days catch up with him and he feels tears prick at his eyes.]

Just... Thanks, Forrest. I know we're not real brothers, but you're really like family to me. It means a lot to me, to have you and Leo. You saved my life.

[clothes_make_the_man]

[It takes Forrest a moment to respond, his smile softening as he gets a little misty-eyed too. He'd never expected to hear something quite so heartfelt and touching.]

...Thank you, Sora. That means a lot to me, too. I'm so happy you're all right.

[oathkeeper]

[He smiles through his tears, reaching up to rub them away.

Losing a friend and dealing with this kind of loss is really new to Sora. It hurts and it's confusing. But having a family to be there with him through it, it's really special. No matter how mix-matched their little god-family is.]

I'm glad you're all right too. If you ever need me, I'll be there. No matter what!

Likewise. Families support each other.

[Forrest smiles brightly, leaning over to give Sora a hug.]

[Sora hugs Forrest back tightly, feeling a lot better than he had since all this started.]

I think once everything settles down I'm going to sleep for an entire week straight.
