A. Too Many Konbini

( Well, he sure did get lost.
He swears he passed that exact store on his way to the park but after wandering around for a good half hour, he’s already seen multiples of the same store. So… that’s what it means when something is a “chain.” After passing by the fifth convenience with the same name, he finds himself at a large intersection and pushed even farther along as the crowd crosses the scramble. )

Ah…!

( Now he’s even farther along from where he wants to be but a lot of things still look really familiar so he must be close to getting back to the far shore? Or maybe all of these shops and stores are chains too. Maybe he should have stopped at that shrine way back by the donut shop. Where ever that is.. )

Uwah… the next one I see…

( He’ll ask for help, for certain. )

B. A Turtle in Central Park

( The bad news: He still hasn’t found a shrine yet.
The good news: He’s gotten away from the crowded city places so it should be easier to find things now right?

Except he’s tired and hungry and he doesn’t want to look anymore and he’s made it this far so its totally okay to take a quick break. At a little park in the city, he leans over a small fountain and watches some of the little silver and gray fish swim. He was kind of hoping he could play with some kids in the park but it’s a slow day. Maybe he’ll get back to that whole finding a way back home thing sooner than later…

Also did I mention how easy it would be to just knock him into the fountain right now… )

C. When Will My Sword Boy Come Home

( Being lost definitely wasn’t fun. He was tired and hungry and it was stressful and the complete opposite of fun. It was nice to get back to the Far Shore at last but now that he’s here…he’s without a purpose again. At least while he was lost, he was able to work to getting back home. Now that he’s here, he finds himself dragging his feet towards Artemis’ temple. It’s not that he doesn’t like the place and Roxas is nice enough but… He’d arrived as a guest and what he thought was going to be a little while was now for a questionable amount of time. It sure would be nice if Pippa would come back and while he’s certain she will, he sighs.

Sighs? Yeah, that was a heavy little sigh. )

D. Misc.

( Write your own adventure. Anyone that met Urashima at the cherry blossom viewing might notice he’s a little less genki than before. )

[Using a konbini for a landmark is just about as bad as using a vending machine...]

[Wandering the Near Shore is nothing new to Yukine, especially around the area where Hiyori's school is. Idly crossing the scramble, someone catches his eye. Mostly because his clothing seems a bit on the traditional side, and partly because the guy looks really lost. Or, well, at least enough that even he can tell.

Looking over that way their eyes meet for a moment, and Yukine glances away awkwardly. It's not easy to talk to people from the Near Shore... did that guy actually see him?]

( He's walked around enough that he's caught onto the subtle differences of some of these vending machine, Yukine. For example, this one serves milk tea in a can while others serve them in bottles! And that one has one summer flavor already while the others don't have any at all! ... But they sure do all look the same from the outside.

He isn't sure what catches his attention but something does and he finds himself making eye contact with someone. Oh... did they see him?

... They saw him, they saw him! That might be the first person to actually look at him all day out here and he begins to squeeze through the crowd to reach Yukine. )

H-hey, wait!

now to get him to buy the seasonal food...

[Yukine makes an abashed expression, but also hesitates to turn around.
Last time this happened to him, it did not end well. But he does pause long enough for the other boy to catch up.
… Which must mean some part of him wants to help after all. (sigh)
He turns around slowly, an awkward smile plastered on his face.]

[With so many people leaving, disappearing, and dying, not finding one of his guests at the temple is distressing. Roxas feels bad because he doesn't know Urashima well, and now?

Maybe he got scared off. That would break Pippa's heart to know that Roxas can't even take care of one shinki that isn't his own. It's not like it's easy since at least he can tell how his own are feeling at any given time.

He's leaving the temple when he notices someone that should have been back hours ago.]

( Wow, he wasn't out that long! It's not like he left in the morning and now it's almost evening and half of the day has gone by. .... Okay, that's exactly what happened but he's okay! He's fine! A little (very) tired and a tiny bit (super) hungry but it's. all. good. Especially now that he's starting to recognize the landmarks around him and--

[Dinner was made a while ago. There's still some left over since he's never sure just when his shinki want to eat.

He lets out a soft sigh of relief before looking somewhat annoyed.]

[ Well, Katniss doesn't knock him into the fountain, so there's that! And luckily for Urashima, she tends to carry a bag of food with her at all times. It's a habit she'd picked up in That Other Place, a habit she doesn't intend to break. Katniss notices the kid at the edge of the fountain, and... he looks kinda hungry. Regardless of whether or not he's a resident of the living world, she can't just leave someone who's obviously hungry alone.

So she clears her throat. ]

( Katniss is a good person. And he sure is hungry because did you know you need money for everything?? Yeah. And the money here looks weird. There are like 7 different kinds of money how does that even work.

When he hears her, he sits up some, wondering if he heard that right. Is it just him or does that sound like someone's trying to get his attention?

Turning around v e r y slowly and seeing who it is, he'll see if their eyes meet. Can she see him... )

[ Katniss glances around, then looks at him. Right at his face, into his eyes. Hopefully that gives him the idea. She waves. ]

( Uwah she sees him and he almost falls back into the fountain on his own but he doesnt! And he jumps up and immediately comes over to this clealry nice girl, )

Huh? Did you go shopping? ( He's curious to see what she has. ) ... are you sure?

( He wasn't expecting anyone to just share with him out of the blue. )

[And just who happens to be in this same park... why, it's none other than Yamato, who came for basically the same reason. No one is surprised.

Normally, the lack of children would've sent him scurrying back home to Shepard's side, but she's already getting tired of his hovering and fretting, so here he is. Urashima's pretty easy to recognize even from the back, but Yamato doesn't feel like calling out his name, so he simply shuffles on up, peering into the fountain beside him.

But of course, this is a fountain prompt, so--]

Oh, look at that one! [There he goes, suddenly yanking Urashima forward to get a better look at one of the fish nearby. DOES HE FALL DOES HE NOT does he stay or does he go the choice is now yours]

( Guess who never heard a thing coming near him. This guy! )

( He ends up yelping and automatically pulling himself away which of course, sends him tumbling right into the fountain. It isn't very deep, of course, but depth doesn't really matter when you fall face first. The fish are swimming away as he flops like a giant one himself and finally sits up, looking back as confused as can be, )

Don't sneak up on people like that...!

( He's scolding but he doesn't sound very upset, to be honest. It sounds more like whining, really. )

As it is, Yamato just watches, because he... hadn't expected Urashima to tumble forward... which was probably dumb of him, considering the direction he'd pulled him in, but-- look, he's innocent!!]

There's another one like two streets away, and something tells me you're gonna be lost beyond all hope of return by then.

[Davesprite's been floating around the general vicinity of this guy, and it's been really hard not to notice the increasingly lost-looking soul making his way down the street. It was mildly amusing for about five minutes, but now it's just sad, and he figures it's time to intervene.

So now there's a violently orange bird-ghost person floating rather casually by, pointing in the direction he saw another one of the store the guy got caught up next to.]

Unless you want the next intersection, but if you can't pick a direction, any direction and walk straight down another block then I dunno what to tell you.

( That sure isn't a normal person and Urashima wonders how he never noticed him before. The answer is he was so focused on trying to find a way home via certain landmarks, he'd totally blocked out everything else. But wow, Davesprite, that sure does sound bleak as heck because he doesn't want to get lost forever? )

I... I dunno?! ( He really doesn't. But that was obvious, right? ) I'm just trying to get home... this place is big!

( Bigger than he imagined any place could be. With so many people. )

[It doesn't sound so bleak to Davesprite, unless this guy either can't teleport or his god is so callous that he'd just let him wander around lost forever, but at the guy's reaction he holds up his taloned hands in a somewhat placating manner. He doesn't want to freak the guy out any more than he already seems to be.]

Hey, chill, if you keep flipping shit about it you're just gonna get more lost. Do you even remember which way you got here from, because that seems like a pretty good place to start.

[Davesprite remembers maybe the last street or two, since he didn't notice this guy much before that.]

[ At some point, Urashima might notice his little fish friends are swimming over to a different part of the pond. Someone is feeding them bits of bread that he bought on sale from a bakery. He liked this one less than the others he has, so to the fish it goes than tossing it.

That paper bag of his looks rather full, and the unique smell of bread might be hard to miss). Urashima's are also hard to miss, it be because they look like goldfish. ]

Urashima! What are you doing all alone?

[ Ote has food! And is way too far to push you into the pond! Yet? Who knows. ]

( They sure are swimming off and he's honestly thinking they're just going to go home for the night or something when he sees them leave. But it's too early to really call it a night and he smells something good. It gets him to look up and follow his nose and-- )

Otegine really enjoys food. Even new stuff that is a little odd to him, like bread. He finishes off the one he has and reaches for a nicely patterned one to devour, but pauses. He may be a glutton, but... has Urashima eaten anything. He doesn't know the poor turtle's lost... but he may have heard someone's stomach, and it's neither his nor the fishes'. ]

[Among the crowd of people who walks past, there's a familiar looking girl in orange walking around and watching. She pause for a moment when she recognise the boy, and how utterly lost he looks. After blinking for a moment, she walks over towards him.

Amane would definitely stand out in her usual attire, if she's not a member of the Far Shore and relatively unnoticed by the Near Shore residents.]

( Uwah, he's lost and he'll never get back home in time for dinner... But then there's someone calling his name and he whips around so fast to see who it is, he's almost made himself dizzy, )
