Shouto
Kido spends most of her time in Izuku's apartment, to be completely honest. What was once probably a nice, communal couch, has somehow become her home with her hood thrown over it or her feet propped up on one arm at any given time.
Which is why it's almost weird when she's not there. She does, after all, have her own room. And today the door is open, with Kido, stereo headphones around her neck playing music softly, on a laptop, sitting on room's couch crosslegged. The bass of her music thuds along pleasantly and she seems pretty absorbed into it, but she glances up at the door every so often.
She doesn't want to bother Izuku or Shouto with her music and she thinks it's kind of pleasant to listen like this when she's transferring music onto it. She never goes very far from Izuku's apartment. She seems pretty relaxed, too, for once.
Goten
Look, she promised the kid she'd cook for the kid. She doesn't want to go back on this promise in particular. Besides, even if he's picky, she thinks something as simple as okonomiyaki can hide a few vegetables and she can tell him about it later.
But she thinks it's probably best not to take him into the communal apartment where she actually lives. She she's dusted off the room she's claimed as her own and tried to let in some light--she keeps it dark, for the most part, with the blinds shut, because she's in here so rarely and all she ever uses it for is a small music sanctuary. So it looks a little sparse, but she doubts that he'll even notice. She decides to wait outside for him, though. Make sure he gets here okay.
... Maybe she should've picked him up. She's not good with this kid thing...

"I think is where sh-...Aha! There she is!"
Her waiting for him actually helps a lot! It's hard to miss that hoodie and green hair once he actually spots it! He perks instantly and slowly drops down behind her. It's when his feet are on the ground that he actually looks up and greets her with a smile.
"Kido! You didn't wait too long, huh?"
no subject
"Not really. I'm glad you found it though..."
Even if you flew which. Throws her off. A lot.
no subject
"Mhm! It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be! This place is big, I thought I would get lost but...I didn't!"
Clearly he's proud of this small feat. His attention goes to the building she's standing in front of.
"You live here?"
no subject
She's going to start walking to bring him up the stairs, looking back to make sure he follows.
no subject
But once Kido starts moving up the staris and inside, he's quick to scurry behind after her. No way is he missing out on this.
no subject
She pops open a room close to the stairs--when she'd picked it, she'd been really scared of Izuku, though she doesn't like to admit it now. "How big is where you live?"
no subject
"Oh! The cave is sorta big if you wander around and don't get lost but its nothing like this." He just grins before heading inside the room as she opens the door, eager to see more.
no subject
"Wait, the cave?"
no subject
"Ahuh! It's where Archie and me live. He says its a temple or something. It has a bunch of stuff like a kitchen and beds and stuff but it's still a cave. Water runs through it and there's a bunch of sharks and other fish too! It's really cool!" He enjoys it.
"You should come visit me too sometime, Kido! I can't cook but we could go swimming or something!"
no subject
That's a lot of things in a temple. She's very glad she wound up with Deku. She wouldn't like sharks swimming through her home, thanks. "If there's sharks in the water, isn't it dangerous to swim? For you, especially."
no subject
"I donn, I haven't had anything happen to me yet." He really doesn't seem worried at all. "They're alot bigger then me but I think they're friendly?"
no subject
"You're bite-sized for a shark, though, if they want a snack." Kido. Don't tell a kid that.
no subject
"Why is your room so dark, Kido?"
no subject
"I'm not in here a lot. I sleep on the boss's couch, mostly."
no subject
"You don't like sleeping on your own bed though? He must have a really comfy couch!" He's starting to explore the apartment freely now, looking at this, picking up that.
no subject
"I like being closer to him. It feels safer for both of us. I want to make sure I'm there when he needs me."
no subject
" Ohhhh, You and Deku are best friends! I bet you make an awesome team! I'm happy for you Kido!"
no subject
"But I promised you food if you visited."
no subject
"You did!" THAT was what he came for. How did he get distracted from that? Kido is kind of fun to talk to so maybe that's why? His stomach even gives a low growl as a reminder. Goten laughs, patting it.
"I wanna try your cooking! I hope it's good."
no subject
She has everything ready to be cooked, at least, though not actually cooked. She didn't know when he'd arrive or if he'd be on time. She gestures to a chair at the table. "It shouldn't take long, okay?"
no subject
"Okay! You're gonna have some too right?"

Which is why Shouto passes, and then backtracks, when he goes by Kido's open door, tilting his head as he looks into the apartment. No memories or not, he's pretty sure that he's never heard music like that before. So actually hearing it, rather than the tinny sound you can pick up when someone is wearing headphones, explains in a way why Kido likes it. It seems... very her.
"Is that the music Midoriya mentioned?"
no subject
"Y-yeah," it's not the kind of thing a normal teenage girl would listen to. Kido's super self conscious about that. How could music that sounds this sad, that sounds this bitter, make her happy and feel safe? "I can turn it down if you want."
no subject
"No, that's fine. It sounds interesting." He pauses, considering, then amends. "It sounds good. I wasn't sure what it would sound like when we first talked about it."
no subject
She trusts Shouto well enough.
"... Want to come in?" Instead of just standing at the door, she means.
