Who: Everyone!
What: Emergency demon fighting
When: Late May 5-Early May 6
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: The demon from the school has reared its ugly head again and needs to be taken down.
On the evening of May 5, the Heavens suddenly receive an influx of prayers from people in and around a certain town just outside of Tokyo. There seem to be a lot of people in the area that have suddenly stopped responding normally (or at all). The situation continues to spread as the night goes on until not only is the whole town suffering from this malady, but the neighboring towns are starting to become affected as well.
With so many gods and shinki on hand - including new ones that have just appeared - the Heavens have issued a request for any available gods and shinki to go investigate what might be happening down on the Near Shore. New gods and shinki will be given the low-down on what's happening, but not much more than that.
The situation will continue to expand until just a little before dawn, when the demon finally has enough power to revive.
Drained Humans
Many humans in the affected areas are walking around despondently. Oftentimes, they are just walking into things or getting hit by things. There have been a few car-related incidents as well. Anyone who was present for the high school incident will recognize these symptoms as something that was happening to people in the school. The glazed looks, the spiritless responses and reactions. So this should be fairly familiar to some.
No One's Safe
Unfortunately, being in the town will start to wear on anyone who is there. Gods and shinki alike will find themselves growing more despondent the longer they spend in the town. All of their energy will be slowly sapped from their bodies, and shinki in particular will feel almost like their existence is draining away.
Hellish Circle
There is a large park in the center of the town. Drawn all around this park is a magic circle, large enough to encompass the whole park. There are candles around the edges of the circle, and in the center there is a cup filled with blood covered by a mask with a swirling eye pattern on it. Stepping into this circle will not only make you extremely tired and suddenly drained, but it will also bring bat-like ayakashi bearing down on you.
The Demon
The Demon itself rears its ugly head just a little before dawn, springing out from the center of the magic circle and looking right pleased with itself. It stands about 5'8" tall, so it is largely unimposing, but there is an aura about it that makes it undeniable that it is powerful. The demon will gladly fight anyone who comes at it, though most he will just shove out of the way without a second thought.

[He saw what happened, a passing glance before he sees the kid teleport and rescue the girl.]

Isn't there a way to help these people then? At this rate, they'll all accidentally get themselves killed.

[Sora crosses his arms and frowns.]
The faster we do that, the faster these people get their energy back. So keeping people from getting hit by things is really the only thing we can do until we find that ayakashi.
[Sora wishes he had an ayakashi tracking power. They're in dead water unless they do some serious hide and go seek.]

Well I guess we're on protecting duty, Izumo!
[Which is great and just as important. These people walking around like dead zombies needed some help so they don't get hurt.]

Let's get started then.

He glances about and notices a small girl stumbling about nearby. She looks about the age of six or seven. She's walking sluggishly but there's something else strange about her. Her movements are jittery and strange.]
There, we better go check on that little girl!

Izumo nods, though, and goes over to check on the little girl.]

When they approach the girl she's lethargic and weak. She nearly loses her footing before Sora catches her.
She looks up blearily at them and glances at Izumo and mutters, "Onnii...chan?"]

She can see him.
That starts to raise some alarm bells in his head and he glances at Sora.]
Living humans aren't supposed to see us, right?

["Onniii......channnn? Oniiiii?"
Startled, Sora looks down at the girl. She looks like a normal girl but the noises come out of her are turning from cute little sister to something warped and echo-y.
Sora lets go of her and takes a step back.]

Definitely not human.
But he can't be sure if it's not exactly something of a demon of some sort either.]
That's not right. [It only gets a little more disconcerting when the girl's features begins to warp as well.]

Watch out!!
[The girl's features change and shift and melt. Her eyes grow too large and her limps grow and with a mutated strange spider-like body it leaps at Izumo.
Sora leaps in its path and with his keyblade suddenly summoned to his grip smashes it away with a flashstep. It lands a few paces away.]
It's an ayakashi!
[A shape shifting one, apparently! One of the energy draining ones?]

He grows tense, eying the ayakashi.
If it's an energy draining ayakashi, then perhaps getting rid of it might help.]
Have you dealt with an ayakashi like this before? [Because the best thing he can do is form whatever boundary he can to help Sora; other than that, nothing.]

[The spider child ayakashi comes darting back fast and Sora doesn't hesitate to bounce back into action, attacking the thing head on. Sparks fly from his weapon but as usual it does little damage to the ayakashi.]
Our best best is gonna be running way, I think!
[There'll be no rending here without Sora's shinki or Izumo's god.]
We'll have to hold it back until we get a chance to run!

Then let's get to it.
[The idea that they couldn't do anything without his god or Sora's shinki is a bit disconcerting, making him feel somewhat useless, but now isn't the time for that.
A brief red appears around Izumo, his aura acting up as sparks of fire flies at the ayakashi. No damage, but hopefully it'll keep it back.]

Izumo’s ability is effective and the spider ayakashi leaps a few paces back and it chitters with childish laughter.]
Do you know how to use borderlines?

A bit, but I'm afraid that I'm not exactly good at it yet. [In other words, if he attempts to use borderlines now, it may or may not succeed.]

[Sora casts Reflectga on them and a crystalline dome of light envelops them. Just in time too because the ayakashi leaps again and gets throw back from the reflective surface.]
Keep that fire thing up, it worked!
[Then Sora leaps at the ayakashi to attack and weaken it enough for them to run.]

Izumo does look at the dome of light briefly, surprised, but then the ayakashi comes back and Izumo huffs out.
Another flash of red appears briefly around him before he sends fire at the ayakashi. It's not too big, but not too small either - perhaps just enough to have the ayakashi retreat a bit more for them to be able to escape.]

[He sprints away as the ayakashi is still fighting with the annoyance from the fire.]
