Who: Sharak and Konzen, Sharak and the other hot blond too many Sanzos just too many
What: Two grown ass adults at Capyper Land, both swear they have a good reason for being there. Also: Sanzo party without the party and with extra Sanzo flavouring
When: May 9th, May 8th late afternoon, May 10th evening
Where: Capyper Land, Kanzeon's temple, does Tokyo even have dive bars
Warnings: Because they're at an amusement park for children and the happiest place on Earth, we must include warnings for gun violence, swearing, mention of child death and reckless child endangerment. But like, in a fun way.
[It's a courtesy call, really. Genjo had been pretty worn out after their chat the other night and Sharak wants to see how he's doing. After their discussion, she's pretty sure she knows where to find him too... And so she walks up to Kanzeon's temple and lets herself into the front yard.
Even if she can't find the Genjo she's thinking of, she wouldn't mind speaking to the other one. It really depends on which one she finds first.]
[She'd been asked to look into a childish spirit wandering around a theme park looking miserable so... Here she is. Sharak still isn't keen on this "God" business, but the best way to learn what's going on is occasionally to play along. For now, anyway. "Aditi" is everyone's mother and so of course she cares for lost children in need of protection. Sharak, on the other hand, is certainly no mother... But she's not opposed to protecting children anyway.
For now Sharak is stood by the wall outside a restaurant opposite a particularly large rollercoaster, watching the children run around screaming with an indulgent look in her eye. Maybe this isn't so bad.]

Konzen gets a slightly amused look over her shoulder for that question.
I'm a Buddhist priest, so... [Samsara. Reincarnation. Another chance to hopefully screw up less or perhaps face the consequences for your past karma. But-] It's not something I think about too much. If you focus on what comes after death, you forget about living the life you already have.
[Holy sermons... But ah, this fits in with what her thoughts were when she first heard about Konzen.]

The cheerful beat of the dancing game drowns out into the background noise as they pass the girls and some flying vehicle pod thing, and a drumming game (how many of these things are out there?) ]
I never thought about death much before. I guess it was irrelevant. [ Being immortal and all that. ]
no subject
[Being immortal and all that, yes. That flying game actually looks kind of fun- no, she's way too big to fit even if her dignity could bear it.]
But it comes as a shock to plenty of humans too.
no subject
You've met him then, I take it.
[ He doesn't think he needs to elaborate.
(Also, he would totally be flabbergasted if Sharak tries to stuff herself into the flying pod). ]
no subject
If you mean Genjo, then of course. He's a very popular man.
[So well-liked. How could she not seek him out.]
no subject
Hn.
[ Konzen's not sure about popular. Goku likes Genjo enough, though. ]
What has he said about our ... [ connection? relation? ] affiliation?
no subject
... Not much. [Just that it was a "problem".] Konzen, nephew of Kanzeon Bosatsu. Son Goku has been put in your care here.
That's all I know about you. [Anything else is a suspicion that she's putting together on her own.]
no subject
Hmph.
[ Is all he's got to say about that. He's pretty sure he never told Genjo about his connection to the goddess, but it's not like he made a secret of it either.
And by the way, that's not true: Konzen doesn't like Genjo Sanzo either. The feeling is probably mutual.]
So what's up with you lot, anyway? [ All you sanzos, is what he means. ]
no subject
You're going to have to be a little more specific if you want a real answer, you know.
[Seriously "what's up" with any group Sharak could be associated with...]
no subject
You sanzo priests, [ he says impatiently. Because obviously she should know what he's talking about, right?
Meanwhile, they're headed toward another location where strange things have been reported: the ferris wheel. ]
no subject
The Sanzo priests are the most highly ranked monks in Shangri'la. They guard the Founding Scriptures of Heaven and Earth.
[Looks up at the ferris wheel as she gives this dry recital.] That's "what's up" with us, I suppose.
no subject
Any idea why there's so many of you here now?
[ All those scriptures gathering in one place, it can't be good, right? He wonders whether it's just a coincidence or whether the gods in charge here have something in mind. ]
no subject
[A helpful answer. Well, she's not going to pretend and make up conspiracy theories that sound possible but have no real supporting evidence. That job belongs to her colleagues.]
no subject
What happens when you gather together the Founding Scriptures...? [ That sounds vaguely important. And having seen Genjo's sutra in action before, he knows they're far more than just decorative. ]
no subject
[This is a casual conversation, without much meaning, judging by her tone. Sharak glances over at Konzen, considering how to answer. If anyone was going to know about this sort of thing, wouldn't it be a god? Well, whatever.]
All five haven't been gathered together in... centuries, I think. [If not longer. Sanzos occasionally meet, but she can't remember any incident that would have brought all five of them together at once.] Possibly nothing.
[Possibly. Probably not. Sharak looks up at the ferris wheel disinterestedly before turning her gaze to the nearby roller coaster.]
no subject
Hn. Well, I suppose the hag might know. Or Shakyamuni himself. [ He was an elusive god though, and Konzen hasn't had audience with him in quite some time. Not that it would make much difference, here. Gods aren't who they seem. ]
... Why do mortals put themselves into these contraptions? [ he ponders with real puzzlement as he stares up at the ride. ]
no subject
[Technically, the Merciful Goddess is here, but Sharak has already spoken to Sanzang. She's yet to hear anything about the Shakyamuni. Anyway, back to the rollercoaster.]
For fun, I suppose. [... She looks at Konzen with an amused glint in her eye.] Do you want to try it?
no subject
[ Which begs the question: what happen to the real Kanzeon Bosatsu? If she wasn't such a formidable force of her own, Konzen might actually be worried.
Maybe he is anyway. He shoots her a glare as the conversation shifts to the ride. ]
... Do I look like I want to?
no subject
If anyone comes to me looking for counsel from Aditi, I have some bad news for them. [The whole thing is a sham.
Sharak shrugs.] How should I know? You sounded interested.
no subject
Let's get this over with. [ He reluctantly steps toward the ride. ]
no subject
Don't sulk, at least give it a chance. Come on, the front carriage is free.
[I wonder why!!!]
Is this a ferris wheel or a roller coaster? (I can run with either!)
He eyes the front carriage with some dread. ]
I don't know about this.
roller coasters absolutely have carriages, not carts, don't question me
[So strange!! Without looking back at him, Sharak helps herself into the front cart of the roller coaster. She helpfully pats the seat next to her.]
Don't worry. If you fall, I'll catch you. [Somehow.]
absolutely! /nodsnods
How the hell are you gonna catch me?
[ He huffs and glares at the seat she pats before he dumps himself in there unceremoniously. The ride attendant comes by to push some kind of metal harness around his shoulders. It's kind of alarming how tightly squeezed in they are. ]
Have you been on one of these things before?
no subject
... Well, maybe try not to fall. [She's still getting the hang of teleporting. Sharak glares at the attendant very unfairly as he locks them in and shifts a little uncomfortably.]
Never. I'm guessing you haven't either.
