[For some reason, he just doesn't want to deal with that kind of stuff yet.
But hey, being at the front of the line and he gets himself a Kirin.]
Talking to people is usually at the top of my list. [An easy smile.] Otherwise, I'm doing some experiments with cooking.

['Skylar' chinks their bottles together at that. Even if this guy is younger than him - probably? - Schuldig doesn't mind because he's at least acting a lot more reasonable than what he thinks of as 'kids.' That includes all of Weiss and none of them are that young.]
Cool, two birds with one stone tonight then.
[He smiles back.]
You like that, having enough free time to experiment with meals?
[He takes a swig of his own drink because HAH he can't waste time with that.]
no subject
Whether or not 'Skylar' is older or younger, it doesn't matter.
He's found someone to drink with sometimes.]
It does kill some time, I'll admit.
[The smile widens slightly.]
If you're ever feeling up to it, I'm sure I can let you try one. [Of his dishes, he means.]
no subject
Depends on what kind of cuisine we're talking.
[Schuldig of course had mentally placed more emphasis on 'I can't believe you like having this much free time' although he's seen it plenty of times now, while Izumo clearly focused more on the meal itself.]
I've traveled all over and been forced to sit through some pretty awful "5-star" meals.
no subject
He actually doesn't have that much free time, between training, working at the diner, and setting up a bar, but Skylar doesn't need to know that.]
Nothing too fancy, at least.
[Definitely not worth 5-star meals.]
no subject
Alright, well, hypothetically speaking, where would you be prepping this cuisine?
[He points to the restaurant next door.]
Not like you're gonna hijack a restaurant during off hours or something like that.
no subject
Thanatos' temple.
[Which. Pretty sums up everything.
Although, the idea of hijacking a restaurant does make Izumo chuckle.]
I don't think I'm good to even bother hijacking a restaurant.

[He tries to make his tone sound more like it's just a joke. Even though he would totally do it of course.]
I know that guy - makes sense why you'd be decent at cooking, I guess, working out of a diner.
[Amazing that the guy didn't hate him for all of the normal reasons and instead seemed to simply begrudge him existing, same as anyone else.]

[...You're a God. Where are your morals?
The mention of his god, though, does catch his attention.]
You've met my God before?
[Kensei is usually laid-back or, well, uninterested in things that doesn't really concern him.]
no subject
Yep, just after that one shinki went ayakashi and he invited all of the Far Shore to his door step.
[He shrugs.]
I got curious. Pretty different sort of power he's got, isn't it?
no subject
It's handy. [For healing cooking, that is. Unfortunately, unless Kensei does some mass cooking, it might not be enough.]
What about your power?
no subject
[ Of course it's a lie, but this is his new cover for his ability. ]
Sometimes I see little colored strings that tie people together, like a kaleidoscopic spider web. Lucky for me, even in the same city, most people don't know one another.
no subject
His eyebrows furrow briefly before it eases out.]
That sounds like an interesting power.
no subject
[He taps his shades on top of his head above the bandana.]
But gaudy as hell sometimes.
[Not at all the reason he has them, but hey it makes for a good story, right?]
no subject
As long as you can control it, it shouldn't be too bad.
[Then again, what does he know?]
no subject
[He shrugs.]
It's on all the time, so no not really.
[But then he gestures to Izumo.]
What about you, can you control yours?
no subject
[He blinks at the question before he smiles.]
Not really.
