[ Pidge was tapping her foot, waiting for that Lance guy to show up since they said they would be meeting here. Part of her was wondering if this was a good idea, but Lance wasn’t necessarily a bad guy…he just seemed awkward about how to express himself?

No, that wasn’t it. It was definitely because he was such an odd person…but overly familiar with her. Either way, she was kind of hoping Keith would get here first. He wasn’t a big talker, but at least she could feel comfortable with someone else around. Looking at the time, Pidge was starting to get a little bored. ]

He better not have forgotten.

[ Though she usually keeps to her room, Pidge has suddenly decided to take to the shared living area so she could have more space to work on something. Unfortunately, she has all the items that Lance so kindly bought her sprawled over the floor and is attempting to make them a little bit more…Pidge-friendly.

Too bad it’s taking up most of the room now…]

[ Pidge is yet again waiting for Lance and Keith, impatient to go get more technology. She had set up everything, but she wasn’t about to miss the chance to get more stuff. Especially since she wanted to develop more systems to make things easier for people around here.

She’s currently messing with her phone and mumbling to herself as she waits. Hopefully they show up soon! ]

[Natsuru emerges from her own room and heads into the living area late in the morning, still wearing her pajama shorts and top. Shorts which don't remotely cover the name now branded on her left inner thigh. It's only been a few days - almost a week, actually - but she's starting to feel kind of at home in the temple already. It helps that it's the only home she remembers...

She soon realizes she has to watch her step, though. Over one piece of equipment, around another item... the whole room seems to be occupied. And at the center of it all is that girl... Lightning's other shinki. They haven't really had much chance to talk yet, have they?

She's got some time before she has to go help Lightning later, so she navigates her way to someplace she can comfortably sit near the other girl.]

Hey...

Um, good morning.

[Would it be rude to ask what she's doing already? ... Probably. Best to stick with polite greetings for now.]

[ Pidge waved as she had some kind of tool in her mouth. Looks like she had taken something apart...she's grabbing a part and working to attach it into the laptop. ]

[Well, that counts as exchanging greetings, doesn't it? Natsuru smiles, but... soon looks completely lost as she glances down at what Pidge is actually doing. She doesn't know a lot about technology, so she can't even venture a guess what's going on here.]

What... is all this?

[Not the best way she could have phrased it, huh? But it's out there now.]

[ Pidge takes the tool from her mouth and sets it down as she starts to fiddle with the piece she was trying to fit in there. ]

Well, I got this laptop from a guy; we went shopping and he was insistent on buying this stuff. Anyway, I'm trying to get a better RAM into it so I can work on the robot I want to start on.

[ Now her tongue is slowly poking out of her mouth as she works. ]

A robot?

[Natsuru looks around at all the parts and tools again. She's not particularly tech-savvy, so it's all just kind of a blur to her.]

Is that what all this is for?!

[For all she knows, all of this is just the stuff that Pidge needs to work on the laptop. Pretty much the only technical thing she understands so far is the basic concept of what RAM is.]

[ Pidge finally got the piece in and started to put things back together. ]

Eventually, yeah! I want to make a system to check the prayers too. Don't know how I'll do that with ....I guess magic? I'm not sure how it works.

Like being able to find prayers online?

[She's not sure how that would work. But she's impressed at Pidge's aspirations so far.]

I wonder if that's possible...

I mean, you'd know way more about all of this than I would!

Yeah, it's about learning what works for the prayers themselves. Do the gods hear them? If so, would it be possible for us to log them? What if someone, like a shinki, could do that?

Have you asked Lightning-sama? She might know something about how it works.

You know, I haven't! I'm sure she'd know a lot.

Though, I wonder how magic works in general, because if it's anything like electricity, I'm sure it'll be easy to apply it.

[Applying magic to things like computers and robots? Natsuru has to wonder, is that really possible?]

I can use a little magic, but I don't really understand how it works.

[Maybe she did once. She doesn't know for sure.]

Yeah? I've been using different stuff, like...it's like I can hear them? The machines I mean. Is that really magic though?

That could be a kind of magic, I guess! I don't know.

If it is, it's more complicated than mine. All I can use is fire.

Waiting for someone?

[Looked like it. The way that Pidge was looking impatient was kind of a tip off, and Masaki could not help but smile. She had planned to do a little herself, mostly to check on the sales.]

Mind if I ask who it is? Maybe I've seen them come by.

[She's been a little bold, considering. Who knows, Pidge might be startled by suddenly being addressed by someone out of the blue.]

[ Pidge just kind of stares for a moment. Smoeone Asking her something. Supposed to respond. Pushing up her glasses, she seemed to avoid eye contact. ]

Lance. He's a god.

[She blinks, and tilts her head. Did she come on too strong?]

I don't think I know Lance, or a Lance god. Not unless he was doing something and didn't introduce himself.

What does he look like?

He's really tall and lanky...with blue eyes...got some brown hair? He's kind of loud and if you're a girl, he's probably tried to hit on you.

Well...I can't say that anyone has flirted with me lately. I've seen some lanky guys, but that doesn't sound like him.

It's okay, I'm sure he'll be here soon. He's probably distracted by something.

[She offers a smile, making it a joke.]

I guess so? I'm not sure how all that works.

[ Pidge kind of plays with her glasses, looking away. ]

[That's mildly surprising but...well. She smiles.]

[She brightens, looking at her companion. They're very different people.]

Work on computers, build robots. You know, normal stuff.

[ Pidge...not everyone works on robots. ]

Really? I've never done that before. Either of them.

[She offers an apologetic smile.]

I'm not even familiar with computer speak. I guess that makes you...cool.

[ Katniss emerges from one of the shops when she sees Pidge. Clearly she's waiting for someone, and usually Katniss wouldn't bother anyone, but... her time in the lodge had taught her that she needs to reach out.

[ Pidge remembers this person! Kat? Katnip? Maybe...She wasn't sure she completely remembered her name....]

[ It came out way more forced then she meant. She cleared her throat. ]

[ God, they are so good at this. ]

So...what brings you here?

[Thankfully enough, the phones that everyone's provided with for keeping in touch with other Far Shore residents are helpfully equipped with memos, calendars, reminders... all sorts of things that would definitely keep people from missing important meetings, as long as they have the foresight to actually use those functions.

It doesn't necessarily make everyone who uses those features punctual, but at least they don't forget entirely?

Keith isn't precisely on time for the meet-up, but he does manage to show up before Lance, and his lateness isn't even that drastic. Just a matter of running a little behind, that's all. When Pidge comes in to view, he offers a casual wave as he picks up his pace to close the distance between the two of them.]

Hey. [No, 'sorry if I'm late', or 'hope I didn't keep you waiting', but he's not the last one here either, so. It's good. Right?]

[ Pidge seems a little relieved. Someone who was at the same level of conversation would be really helpful. So many people kept talking to her and she was so unsure about that...]

It's no problem.

[And, with Pidge not standing around all alone, it should stop any strangers from wandering over. Keith takes a quick look around the area - no one looks like they're here to meet up just yet...] Just us right now?

Yeah, I haven't seen him just yet, so I don't even know if he's coming. He probably got distracted.

[You know, through the plans they've discussed and made, the name of this third arty hasn't come up. Just 'some weird god'... HM!]

[ Pidge nodded, because she's also not going to play around. ]

Let's just hope he's not gonna be weird. His name is Lance, by the way.

[Oh! He... actually knows who that is. He's not really sure how to take the news that he is going to be joining them, but he does look a little surprised.]

I know him. [So, at least he knows sort of what to expect.] If he starts acting too weird, I can handle him.

[Lance comes running up a good deal later than the agreed-upon time. He looks like he's pretty fresh out of the shower. And is he wearing concealer or something??? Jesus Christ.]

Hey Pidge! Sorry I'm late, I had to...

[He trails off when he sees Keith, narrowing his eyes.]

What the hell?? Keith is your "friend"?!

[But everyone thinks he's a weirdo... man, this SUCKS!!]

[ Pidge tilted her head, first to Lance, then to Keith. So they know each other? Her smile is kind of sly now. ]

So you two know each other?

[yousaytron]

Yeah, we've met.

[To, um, put it lightly. If Lance wants to divulge his awful misgivings more information than that, it's up to him.

But... at least Keith isn't trying to raise a stink so chill out Lance, gosh.]
