010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

[Thank god (haha) for Sanzang's natural magical abilities--and her god ability, empathic healing can be channeled through it. So not only is she making anyone who pays attention to her dancing feel better mentally, she's also healing and taking all the pain from everyone's wounds onto herself. While the physical damage doesn't appear on her, it's obvious it's taking some kind of toll at every grimace when she thinks no one is looking.
Despite the pain she's in, she continues to smile brightly and laugh, every step and movement precise and unfaltering. When she's done she bows with a flourish and laughs, clapping her hands together--or as best she can around the long Chinese watersleeves covering them. The little bells on her headdress and anklet chime with every movement]
How was that? Feeling better? Haha, allow me to keep lending you my strength, everyone! Does anyone need a round 2?
[Care B]
[Alright well. Even someone like Sanzang needs a break sometime even if it's after hours of nearly nonstop dancing and running around. It'd probably be easier to be sneaky if the bells and all didn't leave so much noise in their wake and all, but whatever. She ducks around a wall somewhere and presses a hand against it to steady herself, eventually crouching down to press her forehead against her knees.
She takes a few deep breaths, trying to steady herself, but if she feels or hears someone approach, she quickly raises her head and looks to them, grinning brightly] You shouldn't go ducking into strange alleyways, you know! [Says the girl who...did just that... Whatever.]
[Care C]
[It was bound to happen, honestly. You can only take on the pain of so many broken bodies without properly resting before it comes back to bite you in the ass. It's in the middle of one of her dances when the pain reaches a critical point and she actually-gasp!- stumbles and nearly collapses.
At the last moment she manages to turn it into something that almost, maybe, looks like it was on purpose, but the dance is cut abruptly after that. She forces a smile and waves goodbye to her audience, before hurrying off with a noticeable limp, and she doesn't really make it far (just enough so that hopefully the normal human audience won't see her) before her legs literally give out on her and she collapses.
...Even then she fores a laugh as she makes herself sit up again, scratching her cheek sheepishly] Ahaha, whoops! I didn't know I was this clumsy...! [what a lie]
[Banquet]
[Probably under pain of--well, not death, maybe, but various unpleasant things from both her shinki, Sanzang's been regulated to forcibly staying seated for the banquet... which doesn't actually mean she's being still. She's found a cushion to sort of scoot around the table on, or occasionally she'll sort of crawl away, using the cushion as a sort of slide under her knees--it's not walking around so it doesn't count, okay!?
You can either finding her attempting her not so grand escape (it's rough going anyhow since her sleeves keep slipping against the floor too), or maybe she's suddenly (literally) slid up next to you to try some food or drink that's near you]
Isn't this fun? The Heavens really do know how to put on a party!
[WILDCARD]
[Sanzang can be found just about anywhere running around attempting to help people, or maybe she's shown up at precisely the wrong moment where you're about to do something Not So Nice to cheerfully make it awkward to do so. Whatever. HAVE FUN. Also eel free to hit me up at
B
Why not? Is that bad? [What's wrong with alleyways?]
...Are you okay?
no subject
His question gets a nervous titter of laughter from her and she waves her hand dismissively] Oh, I'm fine! I just, mm.... lost something...? [SURE]
no subject
[If they're both going off appearances, Sanzang doesn't look like much either but if anything this place has already taught him not everyone is what they seem. She could have some cool power to back up her words.]
What did you lose? I'll help you find it!
[He buys it and looks much to eager to aid her. Already, he's looking around the alley for anything that looks of value. Maybe it was a bell or something?]
no subject
[Oh dear. What did she lose? Her dignity, maybe. She freezes at the question, her smile in place as she tries to think of something.]
Oh, um... One of my bracelets! [She raises her arm and jiggles her wrist to send the gold bracelets clanging against each other.] Why don't you check over there? [She points off in one direction, then carefully removes one of her bracelets to send rolling off in the alley] I'm sure it's around somewhere!

Watching the woman dart out of sight, Maria follows her in the hope that the humans won't notice her as much as they do while she's been singing. Caring for the people here shouldn't just extend to the normal humans, after all.
She catches up just in time to hear the covering remark and frown a little at it, and she crouches down closer to the woman.]
I wouldn't say that. A dance like that seemed too natural to you to be left that obviously unfinished if it really was clumsiness.
[Rather than accusatory, her tone is gentle. Being like that isn't going to convince anyone to look after themselves.]
no subject
Well, if everyone starts worrying, doesn't that defeat the purpose of trying to make them all feel better to begin with?
I hope no one really noticed... [She heaves a sigh and grins a little] It's fine though! I just need this small break and I'll be dancing again in no time!
no subject
[Maria herself is obviously concerned, but that just seems natural to her. Onlookers are more likely to worry about something like this than taking a few minutes to herself without the limping out.]
Do you need anything? Water, tea...?
no subject
[Sanzang tilts her head curiously] Is there tea nearby? I don't think I'd ever say no to tea!

B
I could say the same for you.
[ But she's going to fish in her sachel, before offering her the bottle of water she's found. ]
Here. You've been working hard.
no subject
Sanzang smiles, a little tired, but grateful, and takes the water.]
Thanks. It's not nearly done though, we've got a ways to go! I can't really rest yet... But what about you, sis? I hope everything's going well!
no subject
[ She does finally smile though. It's clear she's been on edge herself the entire day. So eh, why not. She'll just lean against the wall beside Sanzang, sliding down to sit next to her with her arms resting on her knees. ]
As well as things can be... I suppose. You wouldn't have happened to see a white mask anywhere, would you?
no subject
A white mask? [She echoes Bishamon, frowning lightly, then shakes her head.] Like the one that was in the park before the demon thing showed up? [She remembers seeing it, though she hadn't actually been able to get close or anything. She chews on her lower lip]
It means something, right?

Priest Sanzo, I'm afraid you're needed elsewhere right now. [Her voice is loud and clear and clearly more for the benefit of their human audience than anyone else. As they start to disperse she adds, a little more quietly to Sanzang:] Come on.
no subject
[She places her hand on Sharak's arm in a faux-friendly manner, just a 'lead on!' sort of touch, but she's placing some of her weight on it to keep herself from limping too badly.]
Sooo... What's the price I have to pay to keep this from reaching Sanzo...? [NO ONE LIKES A TATTLETALE, SHARAK. JUST SAYING.]
no subject
At least a few hours rest and a full meal. [Otherwise she's tattling to every person that can guilt Sanzang into resting for real.] You shouldn't be dancing on that foot. Find something else to do.

C'mon. Let's get you home.

She's about to open her mouth to ask forgiveness or understanding or maybe both, but--} Huh? Barry, you don't have to go that far! It's fine, rea-- Ow... [During her protest she'd tried to scramble to her feet to prove her point, but it fails. It fails miserably and she has no choice but to give in.
Reluctantly she settles onto his back, keeping her arms loose around his neck so she doesn't accidentally choke him or something. Her voice is soft and disappointed] ...We have to walk a different way. They can't see me like this.
no subject
Don't worry, I'll take the back streets. But only if you tell me what's botherin' you lately.

Some refreshment, before you go on?
[One is white wine, one is water. Your choice, of course.]

[She glances between the water and the wine and while she knows the water would be the better choice, she points to the wine] I can indulge a little, right?

Whoa, you sure are. Maybe it's all that stuff you're wearing.
no subject
[She's teasing him, of course, just because 'all that stuff you're wearing' implies she should be wearing less. Considering her normal outfit is a midriff bearing bellydancer-type outfit, this is hilarious; though she's also aware he probably means the jewelry and headdress she wears to distract anyhow.]
But thank you, nice catch! It would've been really a bother to end up on the floor, haa... [She's not sure she could've gotten up without actually showing pain, and even now she's clearly favoring one leg. She should probably try healing that herself later.]
no subject
No, you're definitely not, because that kind of dancer would never be allowed out during daylight hours in this country.
[He's likewise unconvinced she could've gotten up without losing like half of the dangly bits she's wearing from head to toe.]
You're seriously nursing people like this?
["And they don't mind" is his real question. Namely the women. He knows the guys wouldn't mind.]
