Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!



The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.

The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.

On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:

'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.

☼ Amaterasu ☼'

And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.



Care

There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.

Food

A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~

Literal Cleaning

And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.

Banquet

After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.



In Summary:

[Tot doesn't mind helping but this...well she's not really up for all the heavy lifting that needs to happen around here. Instead she'll be happy to offer other people a hand by telling them what to do. Starting with anyone who looks to be doing nothing at all.]

Cleaning

[Shuusei might have been helping, but he's not going to rush around. Right now he looks idle as he walks along debating on what to help with next. In truth, he was bored.

So when someone ran up to him and lectured him, he frowned.]

People always seem to need help. It'll get done eventually.

[Okay, that's a little mean. He just shrugged and went right to work. He's not the biggest guy out there but he's got a lot of energy so he gets to work lifting rubble and moving it out of the way. Some direction might help him as it seemed he isn't exactly sure the best way to go about this.]

I. Care

[The thing is, this is part of the job he was training for back home. Getting people out of danger, and helping them recover. He doesn't have any healing spells or quirk of his own to make the process go any faster, but he can at least get manage some basic first aid for the Near Shore residents.

Though through the morning, the majority of his time is used getting bandages, splints, and all kinds of other medical supplies where they need to be.]

II. Food

[By noon, Izuku's popped to the Far Shore to grab some food from his own stores to hand out to those in need. It's mostly rice, but it's filling and easy to make.

He'll look over to whoever's nearby-]

What else is quick to make in large batches...? There's a lot of people who need food...

III. Cleaning

[And after lunch Izuku's back on the streets. He actually has no idea how to build houses, and so he leaves that to the professionals. But he is strong enough to clear away a large chunk of debris. He alternates between cleaning the streets and bringing loads to the builders.

It doesn't take him long to notice the fairies(?) hanging around.]

[He's not going crazy, right?]

Banquet

[He was everywhere today. If somebody needed help, he was around. Even still, he doesn't look that bad off. Maybe a little more tired than he was at the beginning of the day, but considering just how much he was getting done- he's pretty well off.

There are however, two of the little spirits who seem intent on following him around, as he settles at a table with his meal.]

Lets see.

[Seems like Horikawa was on kitchen duty as well and looking over the piles of rice Izuku's brought with him, he gets an idea. There's plenty of things that can easily be piled on top.]

Curry or gyumeshi. Both can be made in a big pot. And it should be easy to accommodate any special diets as well.

I: Care

This was a surprise. She hadn't expected anything to happen when she wanted to heal someone but...she wanted to help their bruises ease, or the bones to set more quickly. And she felt something in her respond.

Here, she had been running errands and getting things from room to room but...she paused, and tried to make one of the patients better. There was a slight shift of priority. Every so often, she'd run around, with her arms full of stuff (some of it ended up falling out of her arms and onto the ground) which could vary from bandages to glove boxes.

And when she found someone that needed a little extra help...those who had more spiritual perception could feel a flow of power and tension, a soft blue glow around her hands. Otherwise, she'd seem frozen still, her body hovering over a person, over broken bones and bruises.

II: Cleaning

Clean up, clean up, every body everywhere~

[She was singing softly to herself, because it was kind of fun. And it made it easier to sweep up, or pick up debris, with a little motivation. Sensing a Far Shore resident (and midst of having the little fairy spirits giggling) Masaki looks up, smiling.]

Hey! Did you come to help too? Come on, grab some gloves, or a broom or something.

[She wiggles the tool in her hand.]

Don't tell me you need motivation~

III: Banquet

She'd never say no to free food, especially after all the work. She knew that she should be getting back to her god soon but...oof. She was really hungry. Masaki kept going to one section of the banquet to the other, one hand with a semi filled plate, chewing and swallowing.]

'cuse me, but are you planning to eat some of that?

[She points to a respective plate. She wants to try it! And if she likes it...well, she needs to figure out if she can get a grab bag full of food. That'd help with groceries for awhile!]

[ Just five minutes... there's so much to be done but surely five minutes should be enough. He's found leaning against a nearby wall and practically guzzling down a bottle of water. Ugh so much cleaning.

There's a pause when his attention's called and he looks over, setting down his water bottle. ]

Oh. Hey. Hi! Just.. give me probably five minutes to stretch out and I'll get back to work.

[ mei's not exactly one to clean. he barely does his own laundry, let alone actually cleans up after someone else, but if there's one thing inashiro's-former-ace-curent-god is good at, it's bossing people around.

(especially when it comes to this place, his home, tokyo, tower rising in the distance.)

he's currently "supervising" over the rebuilding of a low house, settled in a chair, backwards, his chin on his crossed arms. the gathering of materials seems to be going smoothly, but there's a couple miscellaneous piles of lumber that need to be moved around...

turning his head, his eyes lock on a passerby, and he brightens. ] Hey, you!! Come make yourself useful.

[ now this is definitely more like it. sure, the whole "being brought to a new place to be a god" thing was weird, but...mei's already a king. is a god really that much more of a step? delighted and ever the egotist, he's definitely not fighting his new title--or the rewards that come with it. or the powers, for that matter.

the teleportation thing is pretty cool. anytime he wants to end up somewhere, he just has to think about it. imagine how useful this would be on the field...he'd be unstoppable. more than usual! and that's not even the best part--the throwing arm. oh man.

he's testing it out during the banquet, having set himself up with a bushel of apples and a target he's made out of a sturdy dinner plate. taking his first few steps, he ends up roughly seven feet from it, winds up like he's throwing his usual, left handed pitch, and lets loose. the apple explodes into juice and chunks on contact, and mei crows when it does, picking up another one.

he does this three or four times, until a small crowd of people have gathered around to look at him. with a grin, he basks in the attention, scooping up another apple. ] I bet I could hit it backwards, what do you think? Maybe from halfway across the room~?

[ its an hour after the fact, and mei still can't get the image of what happened to kazuya out of his head.

in the end, his memories were a small price to pay--mei would have done anything to stop that from happening, anything to keep his dream, their dream, alive somehow. to think that he's forgotten him is...shitty, but, well, hey. he's forgotten takigawa too. it's just back at first base. no other runners, and a clean count.

it's kazuya. they'll figure it out.

putting both of his hands in his pockets, mei looks over his shinki, familiar face, familiar glasses, familiar clothes. it's definitely kazuya alright. not a weird thing about him.

(mei will enjoy his company, probably until he opens his mouth.)

he huffs, putting the heavens and his own new (is it really new) godliness aside for now. ] Kazuya. You're not hurt, are you?

[ because of the timing--it's not a detail. he can ask, right? to make sure his ribs are okay. surely that's gotten healed in transit, too... and he can just make up an excuse about it anyway. ]

[It's unfortunate how full the children's ward of the hospital is right now, and though Maria wasn't here to know what caused all this, the note that she'd found pinned to her shirt said to do what she could. She'd be inclined to anyway, since it's clear that the people of this town need it, but all this strange talk about gods might've held her up a bit longer in thought without the prompting.

In any case, there's a woman with high-curled pink hair sitting in the children's ward, a few of the injured kids sitting around her as she finishes a song. It makes them smile, at least, and with her own smile, Maria extends her hand to them.]

Come on, sing with me. It may not heal your physical wounds, but music can heal other things.

[It's not hard to keep the attention of the children on her with the music, and as she starts singing the same song again, a few of the children chime in alongside her.]

the Lulu Amel smiled for eternity...

[Maria's voice is powerful enough to carry through the corridors, and is rather clearly that of a professional musician. Whether anyone is drawn by that sound or comes in by chance, she'll carry on until the end of the song, then turn towards whoever came in.]

[Running errands might not be ideal, but Maria doesn't know what else she can do here, between keeping up morale. And it's not like she's in bad shape, so despite the high-heeled shoes she's wearing, she's running deftly between corridors, arms full of medical supplies, dodging people left and right with remarkable skill.

Anyone who looks like they've come to help as well is likely to end up with her stopping in front of them, her breath a little heavy, but otherwise fine.]

Excuse me, but do you know which ward these are for?

[B: Cleaning]

[While she's not the most practically dressed for this sort of thing, as the day goes on Maria notices a group of people seemingly struggling with moving supplies for rebuilding a house. A few of them even look like they might've discharged themselves from hospital early to help, and it's impossible to stop the urge to run over and help them out.

So a few minutes later, she's making her way across the city with a few Near Shore residents in tow, a large pile of wood in her hands and the rest of it being carried between the others. It still looks like they're having some trouble, though.

Trying to rebalance the weight for a moment, Maria waves a hand to the nearest likely-looking person she can see.]

If you're not too busy, could you help over here for a moment? We just need to get this a bit further down the road.

[C: Banquet]

[While she wasn't expecting a reward for helping, Maria can't deny the banquet is a pleasant addition. After eating enough to restore what energy she gave over the day, she lingers around the tables with a glass of white wine in her hand, watching the strange sprites titter around her.]

...Hello? [She tries to greet one, but it merely giggles and flutters around her head once more. It's rather strange, but she's not familiar enough with this place to know much more about that, and so it is she ends up tapping the shoulders of a few of the people nearby and pointing to the spirits.]

Are these common here? I've seen them around all day, but I'm not sure what to make of them...or any of the rest of this place, really.

[soothes]

[ Freyja is instantly drawn in by the music that echoes throughout the halls. The sounds light up in shades of pink to the young goddess, soft and calm shades. It makes it hard for her to ignore it and without a second thought she moves to follow the sounds until she comes across the children's ward with a saddened look.

So many children had been hurt in the attacks upon her arrival in this world. She had done her best to heal those that she could but knew that it just far too much for her alone without pushing herself beyond her limit. Who would she help then?

Lost in thought, she does not register the song has ended until someone speaks to her and Freyja snaps back into focus with a hurried nod. ]

Y-yes, I am! I came to sing too... if that's okay.

Care

[Honestly, Cirno wasn't sure what she could actually do to help the people who were injured. She didn't know how to heal people or anything, and fetching stuff for the ones who did seemed boring.

Then she came across some children who hadn't been hurt, but who had family and friends who had been. They were all pretty upset and anxious, so Cirno decided maybe she could try to cheer them up! That's why it's snowing in late spring in this small concentrated part of the area. The kids are running around and playing in it. A couple of them are even helping her make a snowman. It seems like her plan is working so far!

... Hey at least they're outdoors?]

Cleaning

[Helping clean things up isn't exactly Cirno's preferred job, but she does go around trying to help with that anyway. At least until she gets distracted watching the strange spirits floating around helping with the clean up effort.]

Hey, what are those things? I've never seen anything like them before.

[After all that running around in the near shore, coming back to food and a party is a pretty awesome thing to Cirno.]

Alright, food! I'm starving!

[So she's just going to dig right in. She doesn't have much in the way of table manners either.]

[ Hunh... so he was dead. ]

[ Adachi didn't have much time to dwell on it, since it seemed like everyone was being shoved out as fast as possible for... some reason. He didn't get what was going on; people were hurt because of something, and he didn't have anything that could really help them. Of course, that meant he was drifting randomly through the crowd, pretending he wasn't really there and hope that would let him get by without being noticed. ]

[ He found himself stumbling on the blue haired kid just as she started making it snow for some kids and he paused, rubbing absently at his neck. It was kind of peaceful to watch, and he found himself plopping down on the ground, resting his head in hand. An adult watching some kids he didn't know play? That was... probably creepy, but it was better than dealing with whatever the hell else was going on. ]

[Thank god (haha) for Sanzang's natural magical abilities--and her god ability, empathic healing can be channeled through it. So not only is she making anyone who pays attention to her dancing feel better mentally, she's also healing and taking all the pain from everyone's wounds onto herself. While the physical damage doesn't appear on her, it's obvious it's taking some kind of toll at every grimace when she thinks no one is looking.

Despite the pain she's in, she continues to smile brightly and laugh, every step and movement precise and unfaltering. When she's done she bows with a flourish and laughs, clapping her hands together--or as best she can around the long Chinese watersleeves covering them. The little bells on her headdress and anklet chime with every movement]

How was that? Feeling better? Haha, allow me to keep lending you my strength, everyone! Does anyone need a round 2?

[Care B]

[Alright well. Even someone like Sanzang needs a break sometime even if it's after hours of nearly nonstop dancing and running around. It'd probably be easier to be sneaky if the bells and all didn't leave so much noise in their wake and all, but whatever. She ducks around a wall somewhere and presses a hand against it to steady herself, eventually crouching down to press her forehead against her knees.

She takes a few deep breaths, trying to steady herself, but if she feels or hears someone approach, she quickly raises her head and looks to them, grinning brightly] You shouldn't go ducking into strange alleyways, you know! [Says the girl who...did just that... Whatever.]

[Care C]

[It was bound to happen, honestly. You can only take on the pain of so many broken bodies without properly resting before it comes back to bite you in the ass. It's in the middle of one of her dances when the pain reaches a critical point and she actually-gasp!- stumbles and nearly collapses.

At the last moment she manages to turn it into something that almost, maybe, looks like it was on purpose, but the dance is cut abruptly after that. She forces a smile and waves goodbye to her audience, before hurrying off with a noticeable limp, and she doesn't really make it far (just enough so that hopefully the normal human audience won't see her) before her legs literally give out on her and she collapses.

...Even then she fores a laugh as she makes herself sit up again, scratching her cheek sheepishly] Ahaha, whoops! I didn't know I was this clumsy...! [what a lie]

[Banquet]

[Probably under pain of--well, not death, maybe, but various unpleasant things from both her shinki, Sanzang's been regulated to forcibly staying seated for the banquet... which doesn't actually mean she's being still. She's found a cushion to sort of scoot around the table on, or occasionally she'll sort of crawl away, using the cushion as a sort of slide under her knees--it's not walking around so it doesn't count, okay!?

You can either finding her attempting her not so grand escape (it's rough going anyhow since her sleeves keep slipping against the floor too), or maybe she's suddenly (literally) slid up next to you to try some food or drink that's near you]

Isn't this fun? The Heavens really do know how to put on a party!

[Sanzang can be found just about anywhere running around attempting to help people, or maybe she's shown up at precisely the wrong moment where you're about to do something Not So Nice to cheerfully make it awkward to do so. [It's actually the jiggle of the bells that get Goten's attention and prompt him to soon trail along after her curiously. She's easy enough to follow with the constant loud jiggle- or at least until Sanzang finally comes to a stop. He peeks around the wall, blinking down at her sitting position. The quick raise of her head makes him jump a bit---but she does flash a friendly smile so he settles just as quick. Still, he gives her a quizzical.]

Why not? Is that bad? [What's wrong with alleyways?]

[He's not a doctor, but he was a rambunctious kid who got into a lot of scrapes when he was younger. And he sold medicine when he was a little older than that, so...]

[Well, what he's got to offer is apparently better than nothing, according the the actual doctors at the local hospital.]

[His bedside manner might leave something to be desired, though.]

Did you want to hold still for five damn seconds, or keep the old bandage on this?

[Look, he's sympathetic and all, just... people.]

[Food]

[Now, this is a task that... at the very least requires a little bit less patience for people acting stupid. Hijikata's got a big crate of precooked, packaged meals -- look at that, the future's good for something after all -- and he's handing the packages out to everyone who comes by, making sure to give extra to anyone who looks like they've probably got someone to take care of -- the ones with kids hanging back behind them, or just the ones with the sleepless look that he recognizes instinctively as belonging to someone who's been up all night trying to figure out how best to look after someone else.]

[Somehow, as difficult as it is to see this community so worn down, and as awful as his last few days have been on him... you might actually catch him smiling as some of them walk away.]

[Cleaning]

[On his way through the town, he's struck again and again by the damage done to it. It's almost like a little earthquake hit or something...]

[He thinks back to his own fight with the demon, and can't help but feel somehow responsible. Their powers aren't destructive, but they'd been a little too desperate to bother avoiding any collateral damage that wasn't human...]

[Well. There's a chance to make good on it now, isn't there?]

[For a while, he ends up in a rice paddy, up to his knees in water, bent over double as he helps an old couple and their younger neighbors reset the young shoots that were upset from their proper places. Someone watching might notice that whenever he notices the humans start looking too tired, he glances their way and they suddenly seem to perk up, filled with determination and raring to go again, the fairy-like creatures tittering excitedly around the young neighbors as if to cheer them on.]

[Later in the day, he can be found at one of the most heavily damaged houses, lifting heavy chunks of roof tile and drywall and broken furniture away from the rubble. Hey, he's relatively young, healthy, and sort of built like an ox, may as well make good use of what he's got.]

[Banquet]

[Somehow, it's almost embarrassing that the little glowing spirits down seem to want to leave him alone.]

[His awful mood from yesterday has more or less passed, but part of him somehow wants to protest -- you shouldn't be that excited about me, I'm not some kind of saint, I'm hardly a good person on the best of days -- but instead, he's just sort of given in. He's got himself a big bowl of rice and fish and pickled vegetables, a bottle of sake, and some extra cups in case anyone else wants some, and he's just trying to drink in... as much peace as is possible, in a crowded room and when two excitable, glowy little spirits keep tugging affectionately at his sleeves and giggling.]

I'd ask if you want some, but we'd need smaller cups...

Cleaning

[Goten's been running around back and forth trying to be as helpful as possible. He may have gotten distracted at some points seeing some other kids play kick the can, but later in the day he's right back to it.

He's pick up various debris that have been littered about. Nothing too big or heavy but just anything he can find along the way. Planks of broken wood, small bits of dry wall, his hands are full but he's on a mission so---until he spots Hijikata. No matter what the young shinki is up to, he can't just pass by Hijikata without seeing what he's up to. He watches Hijikata for a moment, just stopping mid step before he ends up wondering over, dropping the numerous planks of wood on Hijikata's rubble pile. He dusts his hands by clapping them together and grins up at the god]

[Care]

[There isn’t much Izumo can actually do, aside from preventing injuries getting worse. He’s not a healer by any means, but at least he knows some first-aid.

So, he’s just been going around helping anyone who’s been hurt, going through anyone who calls out to him or even any children who’s been crying from the pain.

Someone might find him walking down, a couple of kids accompanying him, both of them holding his hands as he keeps them entertained with some story.]

[Cleaning]

[Fortunately, Izumo’s used to cleaning.

He’s been going around, doing his best to cleaning up the streets, moving away anything harmful so the people wouldn’t get even more injured than they already are.

It’s only when he accidentally walks past a couple of white lights did he stop, almost reeling back when they decide to fly around him.

Izumo furrows his eyebrows, shooting them a curious glance, but is quick to get back to work.]

[Banquet]

[Why is it always food?

Izumo supposes he shouldn’t mind, even if the food does look good.

Grabbing him some glass of wine - he hopes - he makes himself a bit of a wallflower as he watches everyone else, but mostly the strange white spirits floating around.

When one comes close, he reaches up and watches as it dances around his finger.]

[Shuusei folds up his note, uses it to fan away one of the little spirits and then pockets it. Moving from his spot he decides to target one of the loners, and Izumo happens to be the closest. He makes his way over to the man, watching him play with the spirit for only a moment before getting right to his point.]

Is that juice, or something a little stronger?

[Shuusei gestures vaguely to Izumo's glass with a big old smile. He might not know why he's interested but after a hard days work he feels like he deserves a drink.]

The Medicine Seller | OTA

[Care]

My, my.

[The shinki, still dressed in his bright, colorful robes, still with his outlandish makeup, is crouched down in front of a sniffling child at a first-aid tent, applying antiseptic to the boy's leg with a cotton swab held in gloved hands. He smiles, completely calm, gently holding him steady with the other hand so he won't kick too much.]

You must... have struggled very valiantly. Have just a little more patience, I beg of you...

[He gets a bandage onto the wound, then tosses the cotton swab and the wrapper from the sterile bandage into the garbage.]

There. All better.

[Food]

[There's an awful lot of food being passed out, but you know what people really need after a rough time? A good hot meal.]

[Near where the people who are out of homes are set up, the Medicine Seller has set up a small, controlled campfire, with a large pot set over it to boil. The delicate scent of cooking herbs and stewing vegetables wafts all around the makeshift camp, as the gaudily-dressed shinki sits beside the pot, stirring every now and again, waiting patiently for it to finish cooking.]

[Cleaning]

[Truth be told... he's a little bit less interested in cleaning than he is in snooping. Checking around town for ayakashi, seeing what he can find that seems relevant to the incident with the demon. But he can certainly be found at certain times of the day, wandering around ruined parks and squares looking for clues, or picking methodically through the rubble of some building or other.]

[He's helping. Really. He swears.]

[Banquet]

[Honestly, he can't see himself staying here very long.]

[Well. Not unless someone gets drunk and starts saying something interesting that he wants to hear more of.]

[For the time being, he's seated in a polite seiza position, with a drink in front of himself that he doesn't seem to be touching, and a thimble full of sake in front of the fairy that's lingering curiously around him.]

[No need to be rude to unknown spirits, after all.]

[If he spots anyone coming close enough, he gives them a polite smile.]

[Maria is nursing a glass of wine, seemingly deep in thought as she wanders the banquet. All the work done today doesn't seem quite real, largely because she still can't see why she would ever be put in the position of a god, and it's only now she's getting time to really think about that.

As this man speaks to her, though, she comes back to alertness and turns towards him, putting a quick smile on her own face.]

It's quite an event, yes. [It's about then she notices the thimble full of alcohol, though, and with the single fairy floating around, making the connection isn't hard.] I didn't know spirits took those sorts of offerings.

[A: Food]

[Distributing rations is one of those things that's become familiar to Shun over a few years of war, so when it turns out that the little town they tried to protect the other week needs that as well, Shun figures he might as well stick with something he knows.

While he doesn't trust the heavens' food enough to hand that out, what he does know how to cook is both relatively straightforward and not hard to adapt to large groups of people. So a little way through the day, he can be found sitting on a table amidst large piles of containers, each one containing a thick stew. There's a few people there already that he's handing out to, but his attitude hasn't changed from his standard seriousness, and there's probably some people unwilling to approach him because of that.

So anyone he knows or at least who looks friendlier than he does (really not difficult, all things considered) who comes by the table will get a brief incline of the head by way of greeting before a request.]

If you think you can get more people here than me, there's got to be more than just these few who need food.

[B: Cleaning]

[Rebuilding houses in one day is a bit tall of an order, and Shun doubts that many people here would have the skillset to do that without just causing more problems. So instead, in a marked-off area in one of the town's parks, he's helping a few of the locals set up more temporary shelters. They're all doing decent work for people who've just been thrown into this, though Shun double-checks their work after they're done, fixing oversights and generally making sure the shelters are as stable and useful as possible.

It's still taking a bit long, though, so if anyone comes by the park not visibly busy with anything else, Shun will be leaving the most recent shelter he was adjusting to approach them, bearing as serious and intense as ever.]

We need more hands here. If you're not busy, it might as well be you.

[C: Banquet]

[Shun still hates these banquets, largely because he doesn't trust heavenly food enough not to constantly be on watch at them. And with these new spirits fluttering around on top of that, the result is an extremely irritable-looking guy trying to wave giggling sprites out of his face like one would flies. Pushing himself off the table he's leaning against in the hopes that relocating will make them go away, the fact that they immediately start following him kills that thought straight off, and with an annoyed hissing sound, Shun looks around to see if anyone else has managed to avoid the plague of them.

Anyone who gets close enough to shoot a question at is quite likely to have exactly that happen, with Shun indicating the glowing beings with unmistakeable ire.]

Has anyone found out how to get rid of these things yet? They won't take "go away" for an answer.

[Actually, he's swabbing someone's minor injuries nearby, but he turns his head to call out to Shun.]

Care

[Julian is a doctor, this is what he does. He's not able to heal people's injuries instantly, either through technology or through some sort of mystical nonsense, but he's calm, professional, and highly skilled. Tetanus shots are given out before people even know he's jabbed them with a needle, deep gouges are shut with tiny, neat stitches in perfectly even formation.

He's speaking in low, soothing tones to a young woman whose arm was broken, long fingers seeking out the break and confirming it's set right by feel--he's never used an x-ray machine, and he'd rather not let her sit here while he learned how it works.

(He really wishes he had a medkit, even a tricorder, but making do where one must. It isn't the first time he's done triage with no technology to assist him.)]

There we go. Just a little longer and you'll be right as rain. The bone isn't displaced at all, so you just need a cast to keep it stable as it heals.

[He turns to whoever else is in the room with a smile.]

The supplies for casts should be in that cabinet down there, would you mind grabbing them for me?

[If helping to splint and cast a broken arm isn't your cup of tea, once he's done with this particular patient, he moves on--he's basically taken over this section of the ER so there's no shortage of people to help. He'll be here all day.]

[He's feeling rather good about the entire day, actually. No running around and fighting, just doing what he was trained to do and helping people. So he has a deep sense of satisfaction in a job well-done and the accompanying tiredness as they retreat to the Far Shore.

Instead of going home for the evening, he goes to the banquet--he can get something to eat that doesn't involve take-out or nearly burning his temple down and socialize in the bargain. He's feeling the absence of his crewmates rather keenly.]

[ Julian certainly wasn't the only one trying to adapt while helping with the people's injuries. Trance had been scoffed at when she had asked why there wasn't a device that would scan all of the vitals. The main difference is that Julian has the experience and knowledge to know what to do. Which makes it easy to follow along. It proved better and easier to help this way, instead of interacting directly with the people, anyway. ]

[ She didn't look at the patient, but she judged it mostly from what Julian had said just before. Meanwhile, the golden-haired woman opened the cabinet to gather the supplies. ]

[ It isn't obvious but from the way she's walking, there's something she's looking for. The war god isn't visibly armed and isn't even in her signature battle gear. After all, she's sent her shinki to help where they can and you've probably seen them running around, wearing the same black uniform she has on. From time to time, she may be standing by the doorway of a room or glancing over into the distance but there's always a shake of her head before moving on.

Though she will pause before moving on completely. She isn't a war god without sympathy after all. Even if combat is what she's built for, there's always something else that can be done once the fighting is over. ]

[ You might find her near the rubble of some crumbled building or near a discard pile of wood and stone. She's scrutinizing it closely and effortlessly lifting beams of wood and rock that no mortal could ever easily pick up and toss with one hand. Unfortunately, with how she's tossing things around, things can get carelessly close to any passers-by. Beside her, a lion stands guard.

But everything she sets aside and tosses away is set with a discontent click of her tongue. ]

Nothing. I suppose we should consider ourselves lucky.

[ And a pause as she looks over to the lion. ]

[Fortunately, before one of those things hits an innocent passerby, it's knocked back by a sudden flare of red aura. While it probably won't do much (he's still learning, after all), it's still enough to keep it from hitting people.

Please be sure that whatever you're tossing doesn't hit anyone. [He says it mildly enough to avoid offending her in any way, especially since he doesn't want her sending that lion after him.

[Tsuzuki looks a little out of place in a white coat he swiped from the back of a chair. It's grass-stained at the elbows, and it's baggy on him, but thankfully, no one seems to be paying him too much attention as he moves through the Red Cross tent full of portable cots and busy mortal doctors and nurses.

It's a good thing, because if anyone was paying attention, they'd realize that not only is he not wearing gloves, his hands are streaked with his own blood running from fresh cuts across his fingers and palm. He's focusing on the worst injured, reaching out to press his hands over broken limbs and thick bandages. Somehow, the people he leaves behind seem to be breathing more easily, as though their pain has faded....

As the day wears on, though, he's starting to look a little paler. Someone might want to make him sit down. Even a dead man can't go around bleeding on people all day.]

Cleaning

[Tsuzuki's still in his white coat, and still looking a little pale and wobbly, but even if he can't keep up helping with the injured he's determined to do something useful.

That's why he's wandering among the repair crews, pausing by anyone who looks like a local, pushing up the non-prescription pair of glasses he's using to try to make himself look a little more academic, and leaning in to ask a few questions. Were they here when the disaster happened? What did they see? Oh, he's with the national bureau of health -- um, he means institute -- um, anyway....

He's official! He's trying to flash a wallet at them too fast for them to quite see!

They don't look convinced.]

[A snicker comes from behind Tsuzuki. Fuujin stands looking much too amused with his arms crossed over his chest. Seriously, some of these lower gods were just something else. Here he thought he wasn't going to get any sort of fun today---then Tsuzuki stumbled by.]

It's just a matter of if you're going to be on the ground first or not.

[If there's anyone who knows about the true power of music, it's Sheryl. She's heard of legendary musicians who used their songs to end a war, to unite two warring cultures and lure them into living in harmony, to stop an invading force from hurting humanity. Sheryl's audience varies — from a cheering crowd of millions to a small group trapped in an emergency shelter during a Vajra attack. This time she stands in the middle of a room, surrounded by injured children and adults who have their wounds tended by professionals. Some of them appear to be tense, others are even crying.

She may not be a healer, but she knows what she has to do, what she must do. The sight of despair is too familiar to stand around and do nothing.

After taking a deep breath, Sheryl presses a hand to her chest and sings a gentle tune, projecting her soothing vocals across the room for everyone to hear.]

[It's a melancholic lullaby, coming from a professional whose vocals contain strength, passion, and heartfelt devotion in each verse. She's pretty into it, closing her eyes with the audience watching her, utterly riveted. The crying has slowly died out as she continues singing.

One by one, the people around her start clapping after the song ends.]

B:
[Sheryl may not look it, but she actually knows some first aid. It comes in handy when situations involve cleaning wounds and stopping the bleeding on a moment's notice. Pretty much like now, actually.

Errands are definitely not her style, but far be it for her to ignore the pleas for help. She's Sheryl Nome! Of course can't ignore, which is why she's busy grabbing some bandages, cotton balls, and rubbing alcohol, then gathers as many materials as she could in her arms. Nevermind the random strands of pink hair sticking to her forehead from running back and forth in between each room on the off-chance that her skills are needed.

If she spots someone who appears useful, she'll stop in front of them with an expectant look, narrowing her eyes with an impatient huff.]

Here, take these!

[She glances at the tools that she's carrying, then back at the person.]

[Standing behind a wide table filled with a platter of sandwiches and containers filled with soups is a pink-haired teenager, currently projecting her voice like she's shooting a commercial. No, really, she's actually stretching her arms out in a theatrical fashion.]

Attention, everyone! Come and try out these special turkey and cheddar baguettes that will surely make you cry tears of joy! Made by yours truly, Sheryl Nome~

[A wave and a wink. For all the bragging that Sheryl is doing, they're actually just normal sandwiches... though she made these with her own two hands, so of course she's going to think they're great. With this many people going hungry, she can at least try to make sure they leave with filled stomachs.

It doesn't take long for a line to form in front of her right as she's handing out the hot soups and the equally hot sandwiches. Once in a while, she flashes the passers-by a charming smile here and there as she hustles because, hey, gotta get more lines forming. Perhaps they'd like a sandwich, too?]

[After a long day's worth of work, Sheryl is going to take advantage of the festivities by being the usual social butterfly, striding along the room like she owns whichever spot she stands on and basically talking to A) a familiar face or B) an unfamiliar face that looks appealing enough to have a nice discussion with. Or so she hopes.

But before she can even take another step, a small gang of fairies hover around her, giggling and waving at her. Sheryl lets out a soft coo, cupping a hand on her cheek and eyeing them with starry awe.]

Aww, you're all so adorable!

[Curiosity beckons the goddess to reach out and gingerly hold a fairy with both hands before facing someone with a smile.]

Isn't this one pretty? [A beat and a smirk] Well, nothing that surpasses my beauty, but she's cute.

Donut's been trafficking the meds out to patients all day, which is how he finds himself hurrying through the crowd with a cup of water along with some pain meds. He's reciting the doctors instructions in his head when he turns a corner and smacks straight into someone. The jolt has the glass slipping from his hand splashing all over his---Is that a nurse's uniform he's wearing??!!

Well, that's certainly not what she expected to hear from behind her. To which the blonde slowly turned around with utter confusion on her face.

"Excuse me? I- ooh, food," she easily distracts herself, reaching for one of the pieces of bacon. "I just love how fresh and available the food is around here."

[The pinned note doesn't really help him much. Dead. He's dead and this is his existence now. Still, the request seems simple enough and he's sure there are worse ways to exist.]

[So Shuusei decides to take up the task of helping out where he can. He doesn't have a clue how to care for those who went through trauma through. In fact, he can barely even scrape up pity for them. So instead of just being in the way, he snags food when he hears help is needed handing things out and heads around to the people in need.

In between deliveries, he helps people with whatever projects they are doing or repairs they give up on due to apathy. A repair here, some carrying there, and Shuusei finds himself going from place to place. It iss like there iss no end to it. This keeps his mind busy though and he flashes a smile here and there when he can to those helping out or those in need of help.]

[It might have seemed endless, but eventually the job is done. Shuusei follows the others back to the Far Shore and attends the Banquet. He waves and offers friendly smiles but doesn't quite follow anyone just yet. Instead he looks over his note, thinking on how easily he went into action.

He smirks as a white little light of a spirit plays over the name Amaterasu and admires the little one as its friends come to join him.]

[There was a pile of rubble that Hibari was standing in front of as this random guy walked to it. Whether he was going to climb on it or not, the kid was suddenly there in front of him, tonfa held to his face. The kanji emblazoned on the right cheek of his face clearly said he was a shinki.]

Take one more step towards these rocks and I will bite you to death.

[Admittedly, this is an awkward situation. Axel's still trying to figure out what's going on, and all that being a god entails. Not to mention the fact that he simply isn't the most empathetic guy.

So when he's tossed in the deep end, what better than bedside care, right? Right. Clearly. After all, sometimes you have to be heartless.

He'll be generally underfoot until he gets kicked out around the areas cordoned off for medical help. He can't really heal people per say, but he can give basic first aid and help hold people with broken limbs down when others set them, at least. And when he's done? All the mortal doctors can't really remember much more than a good samaritan. It's not the most rewarding work, but hey, at least there's a bowl of fruit someone left.]

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, huh? [He tosses the piece of fruit gently up and down before taking a noisy bite.]

[This is at least a more direct task, and thus an easier one. Just give food to people. Of course, some are claiming more than one person can eat, citing families to feed, and there are kids running around and playing in the wreckage that are constantly underfoot, but other than that, the job is simple. Canned goods for the long term, bread and fruit for the immediate. One bag per person.

Of course, the simplicity of the job also makes it boring after a while... Someone give him a distraction more interesting than seeing the architectural failings of the next building!]

[At least there's always something to do, that much is for sure. Axel's got a pushbroom, a hammer, and a bucket of nails that some random foreman foisted upon him, and he's not sure where to start. There's... a lot to pick up. Maybe a crane would be more useful than a broom. Just saying.

Well, every task starts somewhere. He begins to sweep, staring at the ground until someone comes into his view, completely in his way.]

[Ok. Maybe being a god has its perks after all. This is easily the best meal Axel's ever tasted, like a parent's cooking and a professional's all rolled into one. And the booze, too! Damn, what a spread. He's not getting drunk, not yet, but he's definitely had enough to loosen up just a bit.]

[Roxas has been zipping around, making a stop and delivering some supplies. He's about to head out again when a voice he hears stops him.

Hesitating, he looks over at the source. And stares.]

[It'd be too awkward to just up and use his healing spells to fix people up, so Roxas uses what little things he picked up from Koriko to help tend the wounded. Basic first aid type thing. Mostly though Roxas will be running between stations, his divine power being super speed and all. Makes it a lost easier to help. Even if he is scaring the actual rescue workers by just showing up so fast. You might be a recipient of one of these supply runs.]

[Literally running most of the day has Roxas wiped out. He's going to take up the Heavens on the banquet since he's too tired to go home and cook. Sorry Sora & Co.

Of course he's going to be nice to the spirits since they're providing food, but... he's starting to get weirded out with being followed by a few of them as he's trying to eat. Help]

[And as the recipient of these supply runs, Sheryl expects a small box of bandages and rubbing alcohol. The wounds that she's tending to won't heal themselves, and she doesn't have any healing abilities of her own other than basic first aid.

Needless to say, she's surprised at how fast Roxas obtained what she wanted, so don't mind her as she gawks at him for a few seconds.]

[Pushing aside the initial shock, Sheryl reaches for the items as she sighs in relief.]

But thank goodness. With this many people being injured, I need more of those.

[Food Lightning has plenty of. The garden she has provides more than she and her shinki need, so she's handing out boxes of fruit and vegetables. It's the least that can be done since she doesn't want any of it to go to waste. At least the people receiving it seem appreciative.

Of course this doesn't stop her from taking a break to chow down on some figs. They were technically hers. Anyone who wants something to snack on can feel free to hit her up.]

[Light is going to help clean the more precarious areas. Those that need someone to jump high or be willing to squeeze into uncomfortable places. Whatever that needs to be done and she can do, consider it finished. She might approach you if she sees you struggling with something.]

[So Davesprite isn't hanging out for snacking, but he's also not really hanging around in one place much today. Instead, he's making the rounds and picking out people who look like they could use some feathery assistance.

Lightning's fresh food racket and the fact that he recognises her from the air is enough to draw him downwards, and he raises a clawed hand in greeting before pointing his tail towards the boxes.]

If you need someone else on distribution, I can offer pretty competitive long-distance rates and little to no maintenance fees with a total guarantee of getting there in one piece. The big asterisk is that delivery is local only, but that's the whole point right now so it's really more like a bonus feature.

[ It's been nearly two weeks since Bandou got hit by that car. Kane-san had been able to locate a healer willing to treat Bandou and speed along the mending of his ribs. But that didn't mean the pain had completely subsided. There was still a great deal of discomfort whenever he tried to lean over or even stretch, and the impressive set of bruises across his middle just added to it all.

But despite all this, Bandou is still attempting to help. Something about seeing all these people now displaced from their homes makes him a bit uneasy. He's not certain why that is, but going up and offering them food helps to quell that anxiousness. ]

[ After awhile, Bandou has to submit to the aching from his injury. He carefully seats himself at one of the tables, completely ignoring the banquet of food laid out for everyone. And for once, he's even choosing not to drink. Instead, he's leaning over, head resting upon his arms as he lets out an exhausted groan. In fact, he's so distracted that he doesn't even notice the little white spirits that have begun hovering around him. ]

[Going from place to place all day like he's been doing is making it feel all kinds of weird to be staying in one place at the banquet, so Davesprite's basically browsing table to table. When he passes some guy who looks like he's passed out drunk without the "drunk" part, though, he kind of has to pull up for a moment and stare coolly from behind his shades.

And then maybe lean forward to poke him with a talon.]

Dude, if you just died again I refuse to be the sad sack who calls this in to the coroner.

A. Food

[ And today, the Baron seems to have something else for sale. The last time, it was seemingly sentient dolls. Today, it's fruit. He sits behind a makeshift stall made of two crates and a barrel for a chair surrounded by other boxes. There are dark red cherries, peaches in soft yellows and pale pinks, and plums in deep reds and purples as well as assorted berries scattered amongst the lot. There's definitely more than one person (or one god and shinki) could possibly eat before it goes bad.

Before him is a hand written sign: all you can carry - 200yen

There's a grin as he rests his head on his hand, leaning forward as he spots someone pass. ]

You there! Fancy a bit of fruit? Just picked the lot today. It'd be a shame if it went bad, after all.

[ Ouka is not one for manual labor, but sometimes things have to be done and she's happy to help out. Unfortunately, her little arms are more used to carrying bouquets of flowers rather than loads of debris and the likes.

She drops what feels like her 100th load next to the pile of trash and collapses. It doesn't even matter that she's covered in dust and lying on her back in the middle of the grass. She's tired, dammit.

As she lies there, Ouka turns her head just enough to catch a small flash of light. It seems to be following someone around as he hammers away at a wall that had fallen apart. Oh. That's cute... whatever it is. ]

[ Parties? Yes please.

Ouka is tired after a day (okay, half a day... there was a lot of resting too) of hard work, and a banquet is just what she needs. She's changed into a cute dress and is filling up a small plate with desserts. As she turns away from the food to find somewhere to sit and enjoy her food, she almost bumps into... a white... thing. ]

[ She reaches out to poke at it, and it titters as it avoids her finger and makes a little circle around her. ]

[ Normally he wouldn't have bothered approaching random people, but she did sort of collapse right in the direction he was heading. There's no bite to his words, just a mild amusement, mismatched eyes watching her curiously. Hard labor really doesn't seem like it suits her very well. ]

[Sora had spent the last situation running around trying to keep dazed humans out of trouble. Which included pulling kids from rivers, stopping girls from walking out onto train tracks, and fighting off creepy ayakashi spiders.

So now he can be found helping people on the mend. Checking on various people and doing what he can. He checks on an older woman who seems to be suffering from a broken wrist and Sora reaches out to casts a Curaga spell on her. Warm green light flashes around them and yellow flowers flutter down.

She seems startled but luckily the good thing about being a god is she wouldn’t remember much of this moment in a few minutes.

If you need a hand and some healing magic, he’s your guy. Because he’s better at this than Donald is.]

[Or Sora can be found handing out packages of onigiri to the residents of the town. In particular he can be found with a gaggle of children who are laughing and giggling at something Sora just said.

He smiles at them and passes around a few more onigiri before he opens one himself and bites into it. What?! You expect him to keep working on an empty stomach?]

[Sora doesn’t really like cleaning all that much so he’s opted for a more hands on task. Which happens to be climbing up on a roof and nailing the thing back together with a hammer. He lets out a small whistle as he does his work that sounds a little like something from Steamboat Willie. The sudden little flash of pixie-like fairies that float past him distract him with awe and--

WHAM.

Sora suddenly yells out as he gets his thumb slammed under his hammer. He stumbles and almost falls off the roof but manages to grab the ledge just in time.

[ A man, a Near Shore resident, is standing around in badly-affected neighborhoods wearing a full-body bunny costume. It looks heavy and uncomfortable, but the man in it seems not to mind. He's even painted on a nose and whiskers, and he's wearing huge fake teeth, bless him. He's holding a bouquet of balloons (in various exciting colors and shapes, if it matters). Once he's been standing in the same place for a while he'll move on, to a park, or another street, but he never runs out of balloons, and he'll offer one to anyone brave enough to approach him. Is this really helping? Who would actually do this? Did someone.............................convince him?

In unrelated news, Ukoku is never far from the guy—sitting on a bench, playing with his phone, scuffing at the ground (as if looking for something), and occasionally swatting at those cute little happy spirits. ]
