010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

A:
[If there's anyone who knows about the true power of music, it's Sheryl. She's heard of legendary musicians who used their songs to end a war, to unite two warring cultures and lure them into living in harmony, to stop an invading force from hurting humanity. Sheryl's audience varies — from a cheering crowd of millions to a small group trapped in an emergency shelter during a Vajra attack. This time she stands in the middle of a room, surrounded by injured children and adults who have their wounds tended by professionals. Some of them appear to be tense, others are even crying.
She may not be a healer, but she knows what she has to do, what she must do. The sight of despair is too familiar to stand around and do nothing.
After taking a deep breath, Sheryl presses a hand to her chest and sings a gentle tune, projecting her soothing vocals across the room for everyone to hear.]
The day you and I met, stars sparkled in the sky, and I was born
For me, to love you is to exist; a wishful love that’ll never cease
I’m waiting for a hopeless miracle, somebody tell me what to do
With tears dwelling up in my eyes, I see the planet’s twinkle is now gone…
[It's a melancholic lullaby, coming from a professional whose vocals contain strength, passion, and heartfelt devotion in each verse. She's pretty into it, closing her eyes with the audience watching her, utterly riveted. The crying has slowly died out as she continues singing.
One by one, the people around her start clapping after the song ends.]
B:
[Sheryl may not look it, but she actually knows some first aid. It comes in handy when situations involve cleaning wounds and stopping the bleeding on a moment's notice. Pretty much like now, actually.
Errands are definitely not her style, but far be it for her to ignore the pleas for help. She's Sheryl Nome! Of course can't ignore, which is why she's busy grabbing some bandages, cotton balls, and rubbing alcohol, then gathers as many materials as she could in her arms. Nevermind the random strands of pink hair sticking to her forehead from running back and forth in between each room on the off-chance that her skills are needed.
If she spots someone who appears useful, she'll stop in front of them with an expectant look, narrowing her eyes with an impatient huff.]
Here, take these!
[She glances at the tools that she's carrying, then back at the person.]
Food
[Standing behind a wide table filled with a platter of sandwiches and containers filled with soups is a pink-haired teenager, currently projecting her voice like she's shooting a commercial. No, really, she's actually stretching her arms out in a theatrical fashion.]
Attention, everyone! Come and try out these special turkey and cheddar baguettes that will surely make you cry tears of joy! Made by yours truly, Sheryl Nome~
[A wave and a wink. For all the bragging that Sheryl is doing, they're actually just normal sandwiches... though she made these with her own two hands, so of course she's going to think they're great. With this many people going hungry, she can at least try to make sure they leave with filled stomachs.
It doesn't take long for a line to form in front of her right as she's handing out the hot soups and the equally hot sandwiches. Once in a while, she flashes the passers-by a charming smile here and there as she hustles because, hey, gotta get more lines forming. Perhaps they'd like a sandwich, too?]
Banquet
[After a long day's worth of work, Sheryl is going to take advantage of the festivities by being the usual social butterfly, striding along the room like she owns whichever spot she stands on and basically talking to A) a familiar face or B) an unfamiliar face that looks appealing enough to have a nice discussion with. Or so she hopes.
But before she can even take another step, a small gang of fairies hover around her, giggling and waving at her. Sheryl lets out a soft coo, cupping a hand on her cheek and eyeing them with starry awe.]
Aww, you're all so adorable!
[Curiosity beckons the goddess to reach out and gingerly hold a fairy with both hands before facing someone with a smile.]
Isn't this one pretty? [A beat and a smirk] Well, nothing that surpasses my beauty, but she's cute.
Wildcard
(OOC: If you want to thread with me but want a different prompt, then I'm all ears! Either PM me or contact me at
Errand bitch reporting for duty!
Unfortunately, it doesn't register just who had dumped all this stuff on him until it's dumped. ]
Uh... where does this need to go?
most reliable shinki!
To the other room! I'm about to head there right now, Eno.
[She makes sure to stop and take another breath. All that running around is tiring her out!]
best shinki ever B\
[ Though he was suddenly saddled with all this stuff, it isn't so much that he can't shift position to nudge her with the plastic bag in his hand. It carries the logo of a nearby convenience store and seems to have several unopened bottles of water in it. ]
Here. You look like you could use one.
THE BEST (tied with Zoro tho but w/e)
Best pair of shinki for the best god!
Sheryl will agree with that! (such a narcissist)
Her fanbase doesn't help XD

Food - one day we'll have a log that doesn't involve mooching
He's been running around moving things and trying to overall be of some kind of help. From trying to help build houses(before being shooed off) to clearing large objects out of the rice paddy fields. It's clear by the bit of dirt caked on his face and the lower parts of his orange gi. Sheryl's musical voice offering food and that enticing smell tickling his nose is impossible to ignore. He inches closer and closer until he's peeking over one of the tables next to her. His spiky hair sticking up being a dead give away. The food is suppose to be for the people they're helping though right? But it smells so goodddddd; so dont mind this child just staring in awe.]
but there will still be cute if Goten is involved, mooching or no
"I see you!" That's what she's saying with her look, lifting up a finger to her lips.
And after making sure there isn't anyone looking, Sheryl gently nudges the tray of sandwiches in his direction.]
Take one.
[Technically the food is supposed to be just for the residents of this town, but who says Goten can't have one? She knows how messy he looks from all that running around.]
Sheryl brings the cute
[He beams at her before ducking down out of sight again. But this time he's actually going under the table. Crawling under, he plops down beside her. Opening his mouth wide to take a bite.]
. . . .
[ He pauses, closing his mouth and pokes his head out a bit to look up at her and whisper loudly as he waves his free hand]
Thank you!
[He probably doesn't need to whisper but being as sneaky as they are, it just feels right! One more grin and he's digging in to the sandwich happily, clearly very pleased]
no this is all Goten, gosh

A!
The music, however, seems to have an immediate effect on the people around them. Even he can feel it, and he's not sure whether it's due to the passion in the voice, or something else. But it is, regardless, a beautiful song.
Only when it's over, and people are applauding and calmer for it, does he get up from where he'd been helping patch someone up. On his way over, he asks someone softly for a water bottle, and brings it with him, offering it to Sheryl with a small smile. ]
That deserved all the applause it received. [ Said sincerely. ] But just in case you get asked for an encore, you should take this.
no subject
They need all the relief they can get, a distraction from all the pain and suffering they had to ensure. It's not too different from singing to the people in the emergency shelter, not in the least.
Her eyes pan over to Souji as he offers a water bottle. She reaches for it, keeping her own smile intact as she tucks some strands behind her ears.]
Thank you very much.
[If this were a lighter situation, Sheryl would be boasting at how well received she was. Not this time, not when watching the injured has humbled her.]
It's what I felt that I needed to do. I just couldn't stand by and do nothing when I have the ability to do anything.
no subject
Injuries aren't just limited to the physical, after all, and she's done a lot to help heal the wounds they can't see.
Ducking his head in response to her thanks, Souji looks from her at the people around them for a moment. This isn't necessarily something that he's seen before, not in person, but he knows what he's meant to be doing anyways - helping, however that is. That isn't exclusive to the injured, either, because if they wear themselves down without looking out for one another... they won't be able to help much.
He looks back to her, smiling softly. ]
That's what we need, I think. Anything that can help will help, and that's obviously lifted their spirits up.
banquet
They're very cute! [She looks around a moment and then scoots her cushion a little closer and gestures for Sheryl to lean over so she can get a better look] You'll have a little army at this rate!
no subject
An army of tiny fairies run by the Galactic Fairy. It's funny when I say it out loud, huh?
no subject
[Sanzang laughs brightly and grins, before tilting her head curiously]
Is Galactic Fairy your stage title? I just realized I never asked before!
(no subject)
banquet!
I'd have to agree on the first part. [ 'nothing surpasses', that is. mei's smile is flirty, and so is his tone, but he leans in curiously to look at the fairy, flitting innocently in the girl's hands. ] You look like a princess in a fairy tale like that.
no subject
Is that so?
[She pretends to look thoughtful, her eyes shifting to one side before she glances back at him with amusement.]
I'm more of a queen than a princess. [Joking, of course.]

Care B
[Natsuru's been doing nothing but running errands for the people who know what they're doing better than her. She'd only just gotten back a moment ago, and it takes her a second to realize Sheryl's impatiently waiting for her to take some things off her hands.]
Oh-! Yeah, I've got it!
[Being good at carrying things isn't much of a skill, but it's one she has. Gathering the items properly into her arms so she won't drop any, she glances down at them and then back at Sheryl.]
Is this going anywhere? Or do you need it all here?
no subject
Over there! I need you to carry these so I can focus on those people!
[Once Natsuru has gathered the items in her arms, Sheryl makes a quick beeline towards the room, a determined look spreading across her face despite all that running around previously.]
And while you're at it, pick up more gauzes and bring them here, too.

Care B
I don't need these, someone else can have them. [It's hard to tell if he honestly doesn't realize she wants him to deliver them for her or if he's just being an ass right now.]
no subject
Of course you don't. They're for the kids next door! [She tosses a quick glance at the door next to them.] I need an extra pair of hands so I can focus on taking care of them.

Care - B
Excuse me, but what are these even for? Who am I supposed to take them to?
[Not that she's unwilling to run them to who needs them, of course!]
no subject
To that room, please. [She points to said room before running towards it, a look of urgency hitching back up into place.] Thank you so much in advance! I've been carrying all these stuff back and forth by myself, and it's such a pain.

When he reaches the front, he smiles at her.]
Anything special in these?

[With a confident smile of her own, she points at the nearby platter of sandwiches, which seems to be getting smaller and smaller with each person that takes it.]
Don't just take my word for it.
