010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

Take one more step towards these rocks and I will bite you to death.
yessssss
The tattoo in a clear sign as well. Shuusei lifts his arm slowly, trying to show no sign of threatening this kid. He draws up his sleeve as he does so and shows the kanji on the back of his upper arm.]
I'm not here to trespass. I'm just here to help.
[He's not sure what this rubble is about or why it needs to be defended so strictly but he's not in the mood for a fight at this moment. Shuusei slowly lowers his arm, being very careful as he does so.]
no subject
The thought of help however, was a laugh. He didn't need help, he just needed these idiot herbivores out of the way. Hibari stayed put for a minute, then put his tonfa back into his sleeves as it was clear the man was actually holding to his promise.]
Don't come near here.
[And Hibari then promptly ignored the other shinki in favor of returning to the pile of rubble, where he was curiously attempting to lift peices of it that were bigger than himself. They'd fallen in a lopsided lump, and Hibari's hands were bleeding raw from what clearly had been a much bigger pile before.
He pushed on a broken beam-there was a small whine from inside the rubble pile, and the kid immediately stopped.]
no subject
[It's none of his business if someone wants to do all the hard work themselves. Shuusei's just about to turn around and find another route when he hears the wine and freezes.]
Damn...
[He mutters. He turns to Hibari again, this time less cautious as he walks over.
Maybe he is the kind of guy who can just let something like that go, clear conscious. Still, he shouldn't.]
Okay, new deal. You're just going to have to bite me to death, or whatever vampires like you do.
[He doesn't try to move the rubble, instead he's looking for gaps in it to try and peek within. He crouches down and leaves himself way too vulnerable to Hibari.]
no subject
What surprised Hibari was the fact the guy leaned down to look into the rubble and left his back open to him. The teenager lifted a foot and drove a heel into Shuusei's back.]
I told you to leave me alone.
no subject
Shuusei might not know who he used to be in life, but he has a feeling he wasn't necessarily a good guy.]
Okay jerk, it's going to be real tough to help people if I have to kick your ass first.
[Something tells him this kid isn't going to stop with that heel though so Shuusei twists to the side and moves to try and face Hibari.]
You either let me help get whatever is under there out, or we can leave it trapped and waste our time fighting. I promise the last thing I want to do is to spend the day with your cheerful self.
no subject
but another whine from the dog trapped beneath the rubble decided it for him. He didn't exactly kick this other shinki over, but pushed him away from himself as Hibari returned to reach his arm inside the pile, to pet the dog and reassure it he was still there.]
Do whatever you want. I don't particularly need help.
[He had to peel away at the outer rubble first, since if he couldn't see how the dog was trapped, it would be useless to move anything around it or use his flames.]
no subject
Nope. Fine. He's going to throw down with this guy later. Shuusei can almost feel how dangerous Hibari is but doesn't care.
Instead, he makes his way around Hibari, looking over the rubble to make sure what he does won't cause a collapse, and begins to find finger holds and pull pieces away.]
no subject
It looked like it had a couple of minor scrapes and was clearly traumitized, but perked up when it saw human faces.]
Little one, you're very lucky nothing fell on you down there.
[He reached a hand in again to pat the dog on its head, before glancing up at his new 'companion'.]
Push this rod holding this piece of rubble up. I'm going to go in at get her.
[ His hands indicated a metal beam that had twisted itself enough to be the thing holding up a majority of the other peices. It was also the only thing in between Hibari and the dog. His words indicated there was no arguing with him.]
no subject
Something told him this kid wasn't just upset over a dog though. As much as he wanted to tell the kid where he could stick it, Shuusei walked over to the metal beam.
Oh this was not going to be fun.]
Just make it quick, okay?
[And with that, Shuusei pushed the rod and used it as a lever for the rubble. He planted his feet and leaned into it so he could support the weight a bit longer.]
no subject
Hibari didn't answer him, however, and just slid himself under the the gap Shuusei created, grateful for the fact he didn't choose today to wear his favorite school uniform. The dog had backed away at first as he wormed in, worried about the sudden intrusion, but perked up when the shinki reached his hand out for her to sniff.
It didn't take much more coaxing to get the scared pup in his arms and then to stop and figure out how to get out. His legs were still outside the opening, so backing up was going to be awkward while holding the dog. It was cramped in here already and the guy was already holding up the beam and couldn't grab the dog.
So all he could do was curl up inside the pile of rubble as much as he could and try to nudge the dog out to where maybe the guy could get it to come out with his voice or something.]
no subject
[Okay, so he's trying to nudge the dog out? Serve this kid right if he got the dog out then dropped the rubble.
Instead, he slowly lowers the beam a bit to rest on his shoulder, drawing a strained grunt. This way he doesn't drop it all on Hibari. He forces a smile and at least manages a genuinely friendly voice as he whistles and uses his free hands to clap lightly for the puppy.]
Here puppy! Come on. It's okay. Whose a good puppy?
[He just hopes this works and fast. Holding the beam like this is painful enough.]
no subject
Hibari on the other hand was now fully inside the pile of rubble, and Shuusei letting down the beam was cutting off his escape route. Fortunately, he had another one planned, having pulled out Roll as soon as the puppy had been nudged towards the opening, and his cloud flames were forming a haze around him.]
Take the puppy and step away from the rubble.
[He ordered in a no nonsense tone. If he was going to do what he was about to do, he wasn't getting the puppy injured in the process. He couldn't care less what happened to this shinki guy.]
no subject
[Nope, there was some weird glowing energy around Hibari and Shuusei doesn't care to know what that meant.]
If you die before I get to kick your ass I'm going to pissed.
[He warned Hibari though he didn't really mean it. He pushes the beam up only a moment before releasing it, grabbing the dog and rolling out of the way. Getting to his feet he backs away from the pile with the puppy still scooped under his arm.]
must be dramatic
Peices of the debris flew away from him, flung by giant spikes that gouged the road and everything around them. As the purple mist cleared and the wind began to die down, it was clear that both were circling the small figure inside what used to be a pile of rocks. Giant spiked spheres were laying around him as a sort of shield, and the debris that had trapped the puppy before no longer existed.
And in the middle of it all, Hibari just yawned, looking none the worse for wear. The scrapes and blood on his hands from before still existed, but otherwise the rings on his hand had protected him from everything else. He stepped out from around his creations, releasing them so they all returned to the little hedgehog now in his hair to walk towards Shuusei and the puppy.]
What was this about kicking my ass?
Of course!
What the fuck!?
[Shuusei's beginning to realize just what sort of world he woke up into. He reached down with the puppy and put it down on the ground just behind him. This guy felt dangerous and seems like the type that'd really hurt people. He doubted Hibari would save a puppy just to risk it's life now, but no use hiding behind that.
Standing up he wondered if fleeing was a useful tactic at this point.]
What the hell are you?
[Not even commenting on the kicking his ass part. It was clear there's a huge gap between the two of them.]
no subject
His expression, however, when he turned back to the older shinki, was anything but.]
My name is Hibari and I'm the law of justice around here.
[Which would probably sound funny if he wasn't capable of tearing apart a building without even touching it.]
Would you still like me to bite you to death? I'd be more than happy to.
no subject
[Why does that title annoy him more than this guy being a god damn super hero?]
You've proven your point. There's no way I can match that head on.
[As far as he knows, he doesn't have super powers. Does he? In the back of his mind though he has to wonder if that'd make a difference. This guy was seriously scary. Shuusei wished for the first time that he knew more about his current condition.]
no subject
How unusual for a little pup to know what place they stand on food pyramid.
no subject
Instead he brushes off his shirt, takes a deep, steadying breath and makes to march away from Hibari.]
((ooc: Haha, this is going to continue to be fun!))
