010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

A research and ECM vessel?
[Her eyes widen, instantly jumping to a conclusion, but hey, she needs to ask to be really sure.]
Are you some kind of cyborg?
[The way Ruri talks is a bit similar to Genos' speech pattern, and that alone is enough for her expression to soften up. Boy does she still miss him.]
no subject
"Hrm, I did have a nanomachine treatment, but most people in the space fleet did. No, I'm just a girl. I'm Ruri. Hoshino Ruri. Though they call me Omoikane here in the divine sense."
[With that she bows a bit]
no subject
[Just one mention of space fleet causes a sense of nostalgia to fill her mind, her eyes lightning up a little at the shred of hope that someone comes from her world. Freyja, one of her many fans, has arrived over a week or so ago; could it be that she also encounters a person from the space fleets she's familiar with? Frontier? Or even Galaxy?
Still, there's a smile hitching right up into place at the greeting, and she nods her head in acknowledgment.]
That's a pretty name, Ruri. It's nice to meet you! My name is Sheryl Nome, also known as Euterpe in this place. [A pause as she casually flicks her hair, releasing the fairy.] But you can call me Sheryl, okay?
[Of course, Sheryl didn't forget what Ruri mentioned earlier, so she asks:]
Nanomachine treatments, hmm? I'm not sure if I'm familiar with those.
no subject
[Ruri really doesn't want to bore people with all of the specifics, explaining things is tedious at best to those who aren't specialists, and she doubts highly there are any here due fact most of them from home were killed and most other variations of Earth went down other technological paths from the one she did it seems. Still, it seems this woman at least KNOWS of the fleets, maybe even the EDF or the UN Spacy which causes a tiny trace of a smile to reach Ruri's lips.]
"I don't suppose you would be from the Jovian colonies, would you?"
no subject
It sounds similar to implants.
[There's a pause before she explains, making vague gestures with her hands while the fairy flies away.]
They are these gadgets attached into the brain that can make you do all kinds of things, like record visual images through the eyes, or learn names directly from the mind. You can even hack into computers with those! [She tilts her head and drops both hands to her sides.] But from your explanation, it sounds like those nanomachines are in your bloodstream instead, right?
[Upon hearing the mention of colonies, Sheryl smiles before shaking her head.]
I'm originally from Macross Galaxy, actually. That's the space fleet well known for chemical plants, implants and all kinds of cybernetics. I stayed in Frontier for a while later, though! That bio-plant fleet is such a beautiful place.
no subject
"Ah. No, it seems you are from further in the future than me. I was curious if you were from one of the three colonies around Jupiter, but honestly you sound to be from a more interesting place. Or at least one less culturally dictated by cartoons."
[Ruri opens her hand for a minute then frowns forgetting the lack of holo projectors here before shaking her head.]
"Most of my blood is actually nanomachines. I'm somewhat of an experiment in that regard as I have one of the few total interface systems with computers. Back home I spent most of my time trying to keep AIs from getting angry at humans, since the oldest running one is 12 and they grow just like people, despite having fleet weapons."
"Though I guess I could output what I saw to a computer, just as human memory isn't 100% perfect it would have to be done fairly fast."
[She ponders this a bit, then the knowing name bits and almost shakes her head. Perhaps in the future IT people are psychic in a technological sense, but still not quite yet.]
no subject
[Most of her concert tours across the galaxy involve hopping from one space fleet to another. There's a small laugh at the cartoon mention, but it comes and goes. Upon hearing more about nanomachines, her eyebrows hike up.]
That sounds so dangerous to have that be your blood, but if it helps you bring peace between the humans and AI...
[She trails off with a pensive look, worry coming through in her voice for a moment until she perks up.]
Still, I never thought I'd meet someone else who knows about space fleets!
no subject
"They were fairly common back home, but it does seem most people here are from.... How do I say it, before space travel was a common occurrence."
[She shrugs a bit and shakes her head]
"The nanobots aren't that dangerous anymore, there was a chance of rejection but that would have been an issue when I was 4 and injected with them. There is a bigger risk of someone from home recognizing who I am and asking for an autograph than my nanomachines."
no subject
[The lack of holograms and other advanced technology has been something Sheryl had to get acclimated to, all two months of it. She lifts up three fingers from one hand before dropping said hand to her side.
Just hearing about what Ruri had to deal with at a very young age causes a flicker of alarm in her eyes that comes and goes. She can't help but be reminded of the V-Type virus she'd been injected with when she was a child. Now that's something no one should have to go through.]
As long as you're taking care of yourself, that's what matters. [And that she remains alive because hey, young girls might be Sheryl's weak spot.] An autograph?
[She lets out a chortle, tucking one hand on her hip.]
Heeeh, you must be famous!
