010 | Relief and Rescue

Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.

The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.

On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:

'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.

☼ Amaterasu ☼'

And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care

There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.

Food

A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~

Literal Cleaning

And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.

Banquet

After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

In Summary:
  • Help out the people affected by the demon
  • Give out food to people who need it
  • Clean up the messes
  • Eat some good food, drink some good booze
  • Have fun~

[Schuldig looks a little incredulous.]

A candy god that can heal with their blood?

[He whistles in amusement.]

I guess I've heard stranger things about the ancient past. Is there someplace you've found like... in your temple where they have all these stories? About your god specifically?
sweetdeath: (did you hear that?)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-11-27 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he's in the Kojiki....

[Tsuzuki clears his throat, sheepishly, and adds:] Not that there's a whole lot of detail about him. I think the candy part got added on later, actually.

[It's definitely not part of the legend in the Kojiki.]

I haven't found anything personal about him in the temple, though.

[For all that he's picking on Tajimamori, he'd actually been hoping that more information on what 'version' - for lack of a better word - of this deity they were supposedly incarnated from the Heavens were expecting would be... easier to find. Not that he'd have followed it, probably, but the kinds of things they were expecting would affect how he responded when trying to play it straight.]

And I don't remember my Japanese History that well, but I assume that's one of the books that's really ancient.

[Of course he does, and he knows it from Tsuzuki's mind even more, but he has to be vague of course.]

That's a shame, anyway. Would've been nice as a kind of thing you could throw at new shinki who don't know your supposed pantheon, let alone the god you're responsible for.
sweetdeath: (not adding up)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-02 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the language can be a little tricky but it probably doesn't matter if your... where is Loki from, anyway?

[He shrugs it off, smile twisting a little to an expression of bewilderment.]

... Anyway, why would I want to test my shinki?

[Shinki have forgotten everything, after all. The first thing they need isn't a big "here's all the myths about your new god" list. It'd be nice to know it, just to be able to do a better job for his followers, but he doesn't need to throw it at Lilka.]
volksdaemon: (huh thinking)

[personal profile] volksdaemon 2016-12-04 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[He looks confused - test?]

No no, not to test them, just so that I didn't have to explain it over and over, that's all.

[He straightens up again though.]

You know how the lines of countries shift over centuries. Loki's known all over northern Europe, basically, and that transferred into America too. Norse pantheon.
sweetdeath: (ahahaha oops!)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-05 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Oh, okay, I get it. [He laughs, embarrassed, and rubs a hand over the back of his neck.] I guess that makes more sense if you're not a god a lot of people might know about, huh? And some of those old Western gods I've sure never heard of.

[He's relaxing back into friendly, if tired, cheer. Man, he really is dead on his feet.

So to speak... he snickers to himself at the dumb joke, and adds:]

I learned about the blood thing when I got here, though. I asked the shinki who greeted me what kinds of things I could do.
volksdaemon: (concerned :: wachsam)

[personal profile] volksdaemon 2016-12-06 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Well hey, Schuldig's the one who started off with a death god joke, so he's not one to talk.]

Yeah, exactly. There's also thousands of versions of the Loki myths.

[And he's primarily motivation by laziness at most points.]

One of Amaterasu's people, right? She certainly has a lot of shinki if they have time to meet every new god.
sweetdeath: (old bones)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-07 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we've only got one or two, mostly, but it seems like the old gods have a lot more. Have you noticed how big some of their temples are? You could fit five of mine into one of those compounds!

[He hesitates, balled-up bloody tissues in hand, and looks around helplessly for a trash can.

He's really never at his best when he's running on too little sleep and too little blood.]
volksdaemon: (neutral :: bleibend)

[personal profile] volksdaemon 2016-12-10 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm...

[Maybe that's one piece of criteria he needed to fulfill already in order to become a God of Fortune later on? It's possible.]

No I haven't been to any temples that big yet, I don't think.

[But he makes a point of looking around and trying to imagine it while also looking for a trash can. He snatches the tissue and tosses it away.]

I think you're done for awhile.
sweetdeath: (bad feeling about this)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-12 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, okay, I know... [Tsuzuki's voice has a bit of a whine in it, but he's not actually arguing. Loki's right, he's exhausted. The cuts across his hand have healed, but the blood takes longer to regenerate. He slumps a little, leaning theatrically against the nearest sturdy object (a couple of boxes, and whatever's in them's heavy.)]

You should. Like Bishamon's, her place is amazing.
volksdaemon: (Default)

[personal profile] volksdaemon 2016-12-17 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[He wouldn't normally hang around a recovering person, but he's suddenly talking about something that interests Schuldig.]

Oh? Bishamon's?

[He's heard that name getting tossed around.]

Tell me about her place.
sweetdeath: (staring at the sun)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-22 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's this big manor, kind of on a floating island thing... you can't miss it!

[The place seems a little too big for the number of shinki that live there, but Tsuzuki guesses that's what luxury is like: rattling around in a big old place. His farmhouse is more than big enough for him.

It'd feel lonely, he thinks, being one of just a handful of people in a manor. Lonelier than one of two in a house.]
volksdaemon: (disturbia :: groteske)

[personal profile] volksdaemon 2016-12-24 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Huh. Alright then.]

Thanks for that.

[He pats Tsuzuki's shoulder more fondly than the way he actually feels, but hey he got something he wanted.]

You rest up now.

[One last fake bit of concern before he walks off.]
