010 | Relief and Rescue
Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.
The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.
On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:
'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.
☼ Amaterasu ☼'
And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care
There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.
Food
A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~
Literal Cleaning
And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.
Banquet
After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

I wonder who comes up with that sort of thing?

[Drinking from his glass.]
Like...
[He doesn't know so he snags something to take a bite of instead. Swallowing he continues.]
I might as well get used to it right? That's what I do now.
[He doesn't sound bitter at least.]
no subject
A bite, chew, and swallow before he glances at Shuusei.]
You seem to be handling it all in stride.
no subject
[Okay, now that smile fades a bit.]
Some scary, cute but scary, woman tells me I'm a weapon and I'm here to help fight things and I just... go along with it. Does that make me brain washed? If not what does that say about the kind of guy I am?
[Why was that so easy for him? So familiar?
He cuts off the depressing thoughts with a smirk.]
Or maybe all it takes is a cute girl and I'm sold?
no subject
[Aside from being a shinki, that is.]
Though, I doubt it make you brainwashed if the rest of us here are told the same.
no subject
[He's smiling and joking because he's choosing not to dwell on the rest.]
no subject
[and that's all he'll say on the matter.]
But don't drink too much otherwise you'll pass out.
no subject
[Drunk? Drinker? Whatever, sounds good.]
no subject
Seems like you're already tipsy enough to me.
no subject
[He's not a big guy at all.]
I blame undead booze.
no subject
[A brief gesture to the food.]
Best to eat as much as you can to absorb all of that alcohol.
no subject
[He replies stubbornly though he does comply and puts down his glass to eat instead.]
You know what's really getting me? Like, more than being dead or being a weapon and all?
[Shuusei eats more instead of answering his own question.]
no subject
And what's that?
no subject
[Pops something else into his mouth.]
no subject
[Pause.]
Though, you may want to take it easy.
no subject
[He mutters that out but does slow down. Now, taking a moment to really breath, he just leans back in his chair.]
Man, this is all a lot to take in isn't it?
no subject
[And truthfully, that's the main thing that bothers him. How they're stripped of their memories and reduced to being used as weapons for others - Gods.
Even so, he manages another smile.]
It is, so I hope you'll be able to adjust to all of this soon.
no subject
[Not like he has a choice, right? Which means finding out what exactly he wants to do about this and striving to survive. Those seem easy enough.]
Bah! They better throw plenty of parties.
Where do we even get wine up here anyways?
[Ah, yes, the most important part. How to get drunk after the party ends.]
no subject
[And it always happens after something dangerous, but Izumo won't mention that yet.]
There are bars around here.
no subject
[Because with how hard it is to get someone's attention down below, he doesn't want to sit at a bar down there. Also in the shape the town was in he's not too sure there's any worth going to.]
Hey, do we get money? Are we supposed to buy things?
no subject
We don't really get money, though we can earn them. [vague hand gesture.] There are some things we need to buy, so doing small jobs usually can help with that.
no subject
[This is lame. Then again he gets the feeling his alternatives aren't that great either. Maybe this is the better option.]
Well, it's been fun but I'm going to go check out those... temples? Yeah, figure out where I'm crashing.
[Stands up with support of the table.]
I think all this information is making my head swim.
no subject
[He watches him for a moment until he decides Shuusei is stable enough to support himself]
I'll see you around then.
no subject
[Because even looking at this crowd, there's not a ton of people here. Shuusei waves and makes his way out. He even manages not to fall.]
