010 | Relief and Rescue

Who: Everyone!
What: Cleanup and moral support
When: All day May 16
Where: Just outside of Tokyo
Summary: It's time to get rid of the mess that that demon made!

The attack by the demon recently has left the surrounding area in a very sorry state. Not only are some people still hospitalized or slowly recovering from the affects of the draining of their life force, but a lot of nasty accidents happened during the time that people were walking around like they were dead to the world. It's been attributed to an odd natural disaster, and many think it may have been an illness that caused it.

The Heavens have decided to send any available gods and shinki down to help out in the relief efforts. If they try hard enough, they should be easily seen for the times when they are helping people out, so it shouldn't be a problem.

On top of that, some new arrivals have suddenly appeared. Amaterasu has left them little handwritten notes pinned to their shirts:

'These people need your help! I'm sorry to throw you into things like this, but please do what you can.

☼ Amaterasu ☼'

And yes, she has doodled little suns next to her name.

Care

There are a lot of people who were left hurt because of the incident with the demon and they are still trying to recover from it. From broken bones all the way to mental trauma, these people have seen a lot of crazy stuff and they aren't feeling so hot. Any kind of care is viable, but you might also want to just be an errand-runner in order to help the qualified people who are already doing a pretty good job of helping these poor folks out.

Food

A fair number of homes and stores managed to get destroyed amidst everything going on with the demon, so there's a lot of work for the neighborhood to do in helping them out. Whether by helping to rebuild what has been broken or by just handing out some free food to the people who need it. Of course, you might also take some food for yourself. Hopefully you're not a horrible enough person to just steal from the homeless~

Literal Cleaning

And here's where the fun comes in. The buildings that need to be rebuilt and the streets that need to be cleaned up are all under works and you can help in any way you deem worthy. You might carry loads or actually put forth the effort to help rebuild some lost homes, it's up to you. Of course, if you set about helping out in this way, you might notice little fairy-like spirits flitting around each of the Near Shore residents who are working hard to help each other out. The little spirits shine brightly and seem to shy away if approached, but they titter happily anytime the person they're following does something nice.

Banquet

After the day is done, the Heavens have a special treat set up for anyone who helped out - a large banquet in the Meeting Hall back on the Far Shore. Just like any other banquet, there is food and booze of every kind available. But also, the small tittering bright white spirits are in attendance, following around any Far Shore resident who helped out today. You might find yourself with a new friend or two who won't leave you alone, who keep giggling anytime you're kind, and who don't seem to be able to talk and only exude delight and good feelings.

In Summary:
  • Help out the people affected by the demon
  • Give out food to people who need it
  • Clean up the messes
  • Eat some good food, drink some good booze
  • Have fun~

Demons are definitely powerful enough. [Tsuzuki's expression is grim. He carefully tucks the notepad with its sketched mask back into his pocket: he's going to have to talk to Ni about this. Maybe getting a second opinion from someone with better magical theory skills will help.]

But the kinds that are powerful enough to do something like this are the kinds you really don't want to mess with, take it from me. Did it really end up manifesting?

[Shun doesn't question that statement, instead just inclining his head. If someone a hell of a lot more knowledgeable on this topic is saying that in all seriousness, he's not in a position to argue.

When it comes to it manifesting, Shun has to take a moment to fully remember how that went, but again, there's a short nod.]

I wasn't in good enough shape to fight it myself that day, but it did make it through.
sweetdeath: (shattering shock)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-08 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
[The shock of that revelation is echoed outright on Tsuzuki's face. He swallows.]

Okay. Do you know what happened to it in the end? Or some of the people who fought it, maybe?
revolutionfalcon: (wary)

[There's another brief pause as Shun tries to remember the details of what happened at dawn, and though he can get some of it formed, some of it is too blurred by his lack of energy and presence that day for him to answer on. He doesn't sound at all pleased about that as he speaks, but he can at least answer one thing.]

It was defeated, as far as anyone could tell. But I don't remember any of the people who fought it well enough to point you to them.

Okay. I'll have to ask around... anyway, thanks a lot, Shun.

[He leans back a little against the metal pole at the edge of the tent they're standing next to, exhaling slowly. He's still feeling dizzy from the loss of blood, but his mind's spinning in a confused whirl of worry and possibility.]

That's... man. That's a lot.

Don't call me that. [The response is almost automatic, even though most people here have taken the hint on it, and as such it's more of a reminder than a rebuke. Tsuzuki isn't bad as the people here go, but they haven't spoken often enough for him to be comfortable with that name from him.

As Tsuzuki feels the need to lean back on the pole, Shun casts him a wary eye to make sure he's not doing anything worse than that.]

It is. The only reason I've been giving the Heavens as much leeway as I have is because they've been having to deal with this other enemy as well as us.
sweetdeath: (mirth unfelt)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-22 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, sorry. Kurosaki. [It's strange to use that surname for someone -- okay, yes, it's common enough, but still --

Still. He grumbles under his breath, goodnaturedly.]

You know, I am a lot older than you....

[Okay, so. He pushes himself away from the pole, and runs a hand through his hair, looking around.]

Anyway, can you tell me where the summoning circle was? Maybe I'll be able to pick something up from the area.

[And maybe not, but at least he'll be able to set a couple of paper shikigami here to alert him if anything gets weird.]
revolutionfalcon: (derisive)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2016-12-27 12:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see how that's relevant. [It's a lot harder to tell whether that's as good-natured as Tsuzuki's own remark, given how dry it is, but the fact that it's not actually irritable in any way is something to be noted.

And either way, it's not nearly as important as what they'd been discussing earlier, and like he'd been expecting the question from the start, Shun turns slightly and points into the heart of the town.]

There's a huge park almost right in the middle of the town. It was around the border of that. You'll know it when you see it, there's nothing else like it in that area.

[It sounds like a joke to Tsuzuki! He might be wrong, but hey, at least he's wrong and in a good mood about it. He straightens up, squinting out along the street. The view's blocked by buildings along the meandering road, and by the first aid tents that have popped up everywhere to help out injured residents, but "right in the middle of town" and "huge park" sound like a combination that adds up to not being all that hard to find.]

Okay! Okay, I'll go look. Hey, Kurosaki, thanks.

[He flashes the younger man a quick grin that's only a little tired around the edges, and straightens up with an effort.]

I'm gonna head right over. I figure I could use a little break anyway.

[He's got some blood to regenerate before he tries to heal anybody else!]
revolutionfalcon: (go ahead)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2016-12-28 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tsuzuki doing something that doesn't involve him probably passing out in one of the medical tents from blood loss is fine in Shun's book, and he inclines his head slightly as he looks back over the tents.]

I'm done here, so I'll be moving on to something else. Don't make me have to come after you again.

[There's an implicit warning in his tone, but it's not dangerous so much as something a strict parent might hand out. It's hard not to feel like the adult sometimes, when people are running around doing things like this that Shun clearly doesn't partake in himself. Because he absolutely does not have a history of ignoring his own limits in favour of helping people, not at all.]
sweetdeath: (ahahaha oops!)

[personal profile] sweetdeath 2016-12-29 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tsuzuki laughs, a little embarrassed, and rubs a hand over the back of his head before he turns to go.]

Okay, okay! Seriously, though -- thanks. I'll see you later.
revolutionfalcon: (placid)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2016-12-29 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Serious or not, it's unnecessary. [Shun's tone is somewhat dismissive in passing on the thanks, but at least it's not anything worse than that. Still, he inclines his head slightly at the farewell.]

You might. [Even if it sounds like Shun's taking it more as a factual statement than a farewell.]
