The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

July 16th, Morning

[A little boy about ten years old is making his way out of Odin's temple, holding tightly to the tome Brynhildr and looking around for anyone that looks familiar. His hair's down to about his shoulders, curly as any of his sibling's and tied back to keep it out of his face. (Don't ask him how that happened, he just woke up like that.)

Leo is on a mission and that mission is to get home. Maybe. It's entirely possible that after what happened the other night someone got him back and has sent him into an endless sleep, he's started learning about those curses finally, but he doubts it.]

July 16th, Evening

[Are you with Leo? Then you are being dragged back to Odin's temple with him, regardless of age.]

I woke up here, and Brynhildr was here, so it's obviously the safest place. And if it isn't, the red fruits growing outside can be used in a curse I learned to cast just last week. We'll be safe here.

July 17th, Morning

[Nope still small. Today is more of the "looking to get home" part of this adventure, but he's up for being dragged around. And fed. Please feed the little prince.]

Aftermath

[And here is Leo, head in hands at his temple because what just happened???]

[The small difference in their ages is all the more apparent this young, with Takumi being 7 or 8 years old. When he woke up he forgot most everything here as well, other then who was a friend and who wasn't. So at least he didn't start crying when Dust found him.

So he knew he could trust Leo, just not where he met him exactly. It was fine, he knew a lot of kids. Unlike Leo he seemed to have lost hair, a small puff all that remains of his massive ponytail. But otherwise he was the same Takumi. Which meant when he got separated from Dust and it started getting dark? He was not happy.

But Leo was Older and Smart. So he'll know what to do.]

Isn't it? I don't know who it belongs to, but it's so pretty and way nicer than the castle back home. C'mon, let's find a bed for you...Take-oomi?

[he puffs out his cheeks in a way that would look more familiar on Elise.]

Can you really curse someone? Orochi always says she'll curse me for a hundred million years if I'm bad, but she's grown and works with Mom so she knows lots of things.

[Coming from the little six year old elezen, Mandragora by his side but Aymeric had no clue why the nice kitty was following him, he just was. He did feel kind of bad for running away from the man he saw at the weird house but he was a stranger and Mama and Papa told him not to talk to them.

And then he met this kid! He's glad that he didn't shoo him away like most kids did back home...]

Of course I'm sure. I'm the smartest out of all of my father's children and I'm older. This place will be just fine for the night, and then tomorrow we can go looking for our nannies.

[He smiles at the little weird-earred kid. Leo has no idea where he gets those ears, but he's cute and definitely can't kill him, so he's okay to hang around]

Or big sisters. I miss Camilla already...

[Oh god. He was just trying to be outside the school, gathering rocks for defense of the hideout, and now this? The little boy in the beanie looks completely confused as he stumbles along.]

What? Brinn- who's that? I need- I can't go alone!

Brynhildr's my tome, or it's going to be my tome, but Forrest has it right now.

[Forrest is so cool.]

You're with me, you're not alone!

[But what the fuck is a tome- wait, no, that's not important. He finally remembers that he has feet, and that he can dig them into the ground, thus doing so.]

But he'll be alone too!

July 16th, Evening

[Corrin ran into Leo during her exploration of the world outside her temple when he dragged her back to Odin's temple. She's a little nervous about being so far away from Athena's temple, she doesn't know how she's going to get back, but she doesn't worry too much. She's with Leo! He would know what to do.

Corrin stares in awe at the red fruits.]

Wow, you did that? That's amazing!

[Leo is so smart! Her brother is amazing. Corrin stands closer to him as she looks around.]

This place is huge! Ooo, what's that?

[Corrin runs over to look at the stairs of the temple. Sorry Leo, it's Corrin's first time being out of the fortress and she wants to see everything.]

--Corrin!

[He runs after his big sister, grabbing her skirt]

Don't go running off! If you go back to the fortress hurt, I'll get it!

[Corrin stops as she turns to Leo with a pout.]

It looks really cool! I won't let you get in trouble, I promise!

[While she wants to run around, she doesn't want to get Leo in trouble by accident. There has to be something they can do. She starts messing with her fingers as she digs her shoe in the ground. Her maids aren't around, it's fine.]

Can we go to places together? If we walk, that will work right? I promise I won't run off again, please!

[It's always so hard to spend time with Leo even when he visits the fortress. It's a rare time where her maids aren't around. She can't lose this chance!

July 16, evening

[ Well she wasn't with> Leo as much as she was in the immediate proximity of, grinning from ear to ear and holding a paper bag filled with what appeared to be the catch of the day: pastries! She loves them, and she had some spare money in her room, so what else was she going to spend it on.

She would be heading home, if it weren't for the other boy, visibly a few years older than her, actually grabbing her arm. Stumbling a bit, Lux freezes, practically locking up. What are you doing?! ]

Wh—w-wait just a moment! Let me go right this instant!

[ She's going to try her hardest to pull her arm away and not jostle the goods. These are coming home with her, and they are not falling on the ground! ]

Huh?

[He lets go, mostly because Camilla has taught him to let go of a girl if she says to let go, unless that girl is trying to kill him]

Sorry. Don't you want to go somewhere safe?

[Odin's temple happens to be the first place Forrest goes when he wakes up older, so he's naturally surprised to see his father toddling out looking so young.]

Fa...

[He stops halfway through that word. If he's younger, he might not recognize him yet.]

Ah... I mean, Leo?

[Leo looks up at this strange man, holding the tome tightly]

...you know me. How?

[clothes_make_the_man]

We're family.

[It's plausible enough to be true, but vague as well. There's no way he'll believe their real connection.]

I'm here to keep you safe.

[He also knows enough about Leo's past to know that's going to be an important thing to reinforce.]

16th, morning

( Sakura barely recognizes him with his hair curled and to his shoulders. It isn't until she sees Brynhildr that she realizes who he is and she lets out a quiet gasp, )

[She's pretty, at least.]

July 17th, Morning - Age 4

[Kairi's left the temple behind but as she's out skipping around and exploring, she hears his stomach growl.]

Hee-hee. You're hungry. I can get you a sandwich if you want?

Huh?

[Leo looks around, spotting the little girl. He shakes his head]

M'fine.

16th, evening

Eh, what's where? Who are you anyway?

[And why are you dragging him along, Riku doesn't understand what's happening – he was exploring things on his own just fine!

[ Carl hadn't minded getting wrapped up in a conversation or something with another child, it's adults he's wary about. But he already got kidnapped once today, does it have to happen again? He's considering running away because this kid a few years older than him seems much weirder than he thought. ]

Why would it be the safest place? And what do you mean curse? Curses don't exist, it's just superstition.
