[ open! ] Not a Prodigy of Technology

OPTION ONE: Cellphone Blues
[ Itachi's standing outside of a large electronics store, gazing at a window display of what appears to be incredibly high-tech walkie-talkies that he's seen everyone carry around. He figured he probably needs one... but he doesn't know the first thing about them. He hasn't asked his god to help--mainly because he looks like a complete idiot (a cute idiot but still an idiot), and he doesn't feel any sort of affinity to them to ask for help. ]

[ So there he is, the 5'8" former ninja just peering into the window. Help him out? ]

OPTION TWO: Temple Worship
[ He's checking out some temples in the area. Whichever it is, it belongs to either you or your god! He's peering towards the structure with a curious expression on his face. ]

OPTION THREE: The Candy Man Can
[ If he were any closer to the window of the candy shop, he'd be licking it. He kind of wants to, if it would get him any closer to the candy inside. It all looks so good. He's waffling in between going in and getting some, but it seems like a waste of money. He should save it. He doesn't have a lot of it. ]

[ ...But... ]

[ Call him a native of Akiba by now. It's weird but it feels like home to him. Maybe he lived here once, he doesn't know. Eno knows his way around Akihabara and its byways, especially when it comes to electronics parts and yes, even cellphones. So it's a little strange for him to see this... guy... hanging out in front of one of the electronics stores. Judging by how no one's come out to offer him a deal yet, he can only assume he's one of them.

Is he checking out phones?

So, shifting his shopping to one hand, he's just going to come up beside the other guy. ]

If you're looking for a phone, this store's a little overpriced.

[ There was a glance over towards the other man, red eyes taking in the newcomer. ]

...You can see me... [ Then, that meant... ]

[ He offers a nod back, pushing up his glasses as he stepped closer. At least he doesn't look like this guy's going to kill him. ]

I'm from the Far Shore, too. A shinki.

A shinki... [ And he turned to face Eno fully, offering a nod of his head. ] As am I.

Itachi. [ A shinki is safe enough to give out a name. ]

[ There's a nod back at that. ]

Eno. Ah... Tatsuya Enomoto, actually but... Eno's fine.

[ And shifting his shopping back into one hand. ]

Decided to take a look around town?

Tatsuya is a nice name. [ He likes the sound of it, but if he wants to be called Eno, then... ]

I've never been to Japan before. [ Even if he looks and has a name of someone from Japan, but technicalities. ] ...And the technology here is fascinating.

Ah... thanks...

[ There's a very faint flush at that, causing him to toy with the tip of his ponytail. He'd always thought so himself. It sounded cool, having 'dragon' in his name and everything but somehow, 'Eno' felt homier.

Clearing his throat though. ]

If that's the case... Welcome to Akihabara. If you're interested in technology, this is the best place to go. It's got everything from old computer parts to the newest cellphones! Just a couple of days ago, I found an old Shuttle HOT-569 motherboard from 1997. I didn't think they were still around any--

[ And pausing because he realizes he's either losing his companion or scaring him off. ]

Sorry. I kind of get carried away when it comes to stuff like this. A... anyway, I'm pretty familiar with the neighborhood so if there's anything you were looking for, maybe I can help.

[ WELL HE WAS RIGHT Itachi had no idea what he was talking about, his expression remained attentive. When the other apologized, he shook his head. ]

It's fine. The fact you have something that interests you is good.

I am looking for something, though. [ And he points into the window he had been looking into. It's a display fo the newest model of smartphones. ] One of these devices.

I've noticed nearly everyone has one, and I've heard you can communicate with the other shinki this way, so I'd like one for myself. [ 'But I don't know anything about them' is the unspoken part. ]

It's something that came naturally to me... so I thought I'd look into it.

[ His ears are practically red. You can't blame the guy. For a military man, he was the type to get flustered easy. But he does nod though. ]

That kind of surprised me, too. I didn't think heaven had that sort of system but everyone's got a cellphone these days. See?

[ He does grin though as he fishes for his and holds it up for Itachi to see. It's a blue smartphone and oddly enough has a couple of charms and a wrist strap. Clearly, his otaku is showing. ]

I'm guessing you're not used to them?

I don't seem to have any knowledge of them, no. I'm assuming they weren't... invented yet, where I come from.

That's a safe assumption to make. It looks like we come from different times and places so it isn't all that surprising...

[ He pauses as he stuffs his phone back into his pocket. ]

Maybe something not too complicated then...

I don't mind learning, if the device is complicated. [ Come on give him a little credit! ]

Did you have something in mind?

No, not really. These phones can be pretty easy to work with if you don't go too deeply into the technical side.

[ So no modding for you, mister. ]

There's another store a few doors down with cheaper phones. I noticed them selling the same model for at least a few hundred yen more than everyone else.

Would you show me, then, Eno-san?

S... sure.

[ Gosh, willing to rely on him for info straight off the bat? That's probably a bit more than Eno would ever think any cool guy would be willing to do for him. Please pardon the fact his ears have gone red. ]

Uh... yeah, I remember it being this way.

[ Oh, Eno-san is blushing. Oh no, that's cute. Itachi is quickly finding that he likes cute boys. They remind him of... what it must mean to have a cute sibling. Was it something he had forgotten? No, best not to think on it. ]

[ Since Eno had already pointed in the proper direction, he began walking, glancing over, making sure the other was walking alongside him. ]

You're blushing. [ He pointed out. ] Are you busy contemplating a reward for your help?

A kiss is as far as I'd go, on the first date.

[ Eyes wide. That blush is getting worse. He's audibly swallowing as he pushes his glasses up quickly. GDIT was there something on his forehead that reads "Please hit on me I'm an easy target"?! Between this encounter and Niles, he's starting to question himself.

Eno does duck his head though just so he doesn't see that blush getting worse. ]

N- No! I... it's nothing like that! Y... you don't even need to reward me. I'm just helping out!

[ Though there is that stray thought that does cross his mind that he probably wouldn't mind being ki-- NOPE. GET IT TOGETHER TATSUYA. YOU LIKE GIRLS. Totally. Into. girls. maybe. kinda. ]

[ Sure. ]

Thank you. You're kind.

It's... better if we help each other out instead of fighting.

[ Clearing his throat, glancing aside. ]

At least that's what I think.

[ There's a bit of a pause as he mulls over what he said. ]

...I agree. [ Something about peace and tranquility stirs something in him. He's not sure what. Good. Uncomfortable. He tries not to think about it. ]

Is this the place? [ And he points into a similar store with more phones on display. ]

[ His attention was away when Itachi points out the store. Immediately, his head jerks back and he turns back to where the other was pointing. ]

Y... yeah, that's the place. They've been doing business here a while so they're not as commercialized as all the other stores.

[ He motions for the other to follow with a slight jerk of his head. ]

Did you have a budget in mind or were you just looking around for now?
