[Back from the Forest of Doom, which she'd wandered into with Sora, she's starting to both get more confident in what she can do as a shinki and more aware of the danger that the world around her poses. This hasn't diminished the light in her heart, but tempered it into a willingness to become the kind of person that neither Roxas nor Sora worries about if she wants to go wherever she pleases.]

[Kairi is mostly available to wave at anyone she doesn't know and chat up casually, just from walking around the grounds with the two ghost dogs. She'll be practicing Borderlines on her own as well as some very simple swordsmanship positions that Sora's shown her.]

[Kairi has become an avid texter and phone converser, so if you're someone she's had previous contact with, you can handwave a brief conversation that she initiated and concluded with directions to the temple to find her.]

[She giggles a bit, embarrassed, and tugs on her hair.]

Well, I should probably feel a little bad about it, because I didn't ask his permission...

[Then both of her hands go to her cheeks as she laughs again.]

But I really don't! Sorry. I think he needs more hugs in general! Poor guy, so stressed out and proper.

You're just like Sora. You both like to hug too much.

[Except he does not mind Sora hugs whenever at all. Well, when he's trying to do chores he super minds.]

How can you think there's such a thing as too many hugs??

[She doesn't mind the comparison to Sora at all. He's a nice guy. But geez Roxas!]

Yes.

[Said without hesitation.] I'm still not 100% used to them, and I've been getting them for a while now.

... But you didn't get them before?

[Before some... arbitrary point, clearly, if 'for awhile now' has happened and he's still uncomfortable. She wraps her arms around herself and hugs gently, feeling sad about that possibility.]

I did, back in Koriko. Mostly from the Sora there. He was the only one who gave me hugs on a regular basis. No one else did... the Japanese aren't exactly the most physically affectionate people, and that's what most of the workers were.

[But here...] A lot of people hug me here now.

'The Sora there'?

[She didn't mean to say that aloud. She hadn't given much thought before now to how Roxas and Sora met, thinking that, like all of the other gods, they'd met here and beyond that it was their own personal business.]

I guess I'm confused. Are you saying anytime someone hugs you, you get homesick?

Ah... I was in a different world before this place. I think I told you that once? [Maybe?] Sometimes people show up here from different timelines. The Sora there, in Koriko, isn't the same Sora here. It's kinda weird, but it's something that happens sometimes.

[....................................... homesick?

He snorts softly, which turns into a laugh as he shakes his head.]

N-No! I didn't get any hugs back home! Koriko isn't my real home in the first place!

Hmm... almost like how Riku was a shinki first and then a god? Or whatever happened with Brandon and Riku in the first place...

[But hey, she made him laugh?? Kind of...]

Well it's not like I knew that!

[She says it with a laugh, hoping that means the heaviest part of their conversation is now long over.]

Doesn't that mean the Far Shore is better than Koriko, though? If you get hugs here and you didn't there.

[It seems a perfectly reasonable metric to gauge off of, to her.]

That one is a really different story, but it makes no sense to someone who wasn't there.

[Which means he is not talking about that subject at all. Might reveal too much because she's met the Organization. Well, some of the members.

He has an easy smile on his face as he nods.]

Way better, in a ton of ways. I can do whatever I want to here, and I have a lot more friends, too.

[She nods at his first comment. From what Sora's already told her, it's enough to realize that Roxas is telling the truth. And in the end she can accept 'no sense' for Brandon's sake, just wanting to treat him the same as any other shinki feeling lost in the Far Shore.]

Oh! Well, good!

[She smiles, glad to have gotten Roxas to say that much out loud. For a bit there she was worried that Roxas liked his family here well enough and yet still missed 'home' the way she couldn't really imagine without memories. She doesn't mind the idea of people being homesick but... Roxas and Sora have been so welcoming that their joint temple is the only kind of home she can imagine wanting.]

I'm glad you're happier here! And... I promise to do everything I can in the future to keep our friends and family happy too!

[She wishes she could hug him just then, but she just tries to reach for his hand and squeeze it.]

I'll get to bed soon, but I need to do a couple of things first - that don't involve leaving the temple, promise.

[If he's sent to another world after this one, please let Roxas keep the memories. He doesn't ever want to forget the memories he's made here of his new family. Of Sora especially. There's still that wish that the day Sora leaves, he's allowed to leave, too. Maybe they'll get lucky and they'll remember this in their world back home.]

I don't think I'd be happier anywhere else.

[Kairi has such a good heart. No wonder the Princess of Hearts are so powerful.

He lets her take his hand, nodding.]
