[Back from the Forest of Doom, which she'd wandered into with Sora, she's starting to both get more confident in what she can do as a shinki and more aware of the danger that the world around her poses. This hasn't diminished the light in her heart, but tempered it into a willingness to become the kind of person that neither Roxas nor Sora worries about if she wants to go wherever she pleases.]

[Kairi is mostly available to wave at anyone she doesn't know and chat up casually, just from walking around the grounds with the two ghost dogs. She'll be practicing Borderlines on her own as well as some very simple swordsmanship positions that Sora's shown her.]

[Kairi has become an avid texter and phone converser, so if you're someone she's had previous contact with, you can handwave a brief conversation that she initiated and concluded with directions to the temple to find her.]

[Then brings it up higher, under his chin, before pulling away and leaning on it.]

[His face is definitely red. Oh man, oh man, oh man, that was super hot??? What the hell???]

N-no way, no way! I definitely wanna go out with you! You're like... the coolest girl I've ever met!

[A pause.]

And you know 'cool' is a compliment coming from me, the master of ice!

[Naturally, his punny humor makes her laugh. It's enough to convince her he's not just saying things to get out of her teasing.]

Chivalrous Guy, Master of Ice - that will not fit on my contact card for you, I'm sure of that much.

[But she gives him a real smile then, slight blush from her excitement showing on her face.]

Anyway... you're really cool too, Master of Ice. That's why I asked first. It feels kinda... I don't know, easy to talk to you.

[She gestures behind her to the temple of Artemis.]

Do you know Roxas at all? We should find some time for you two to meet if you're going to keep coming around here... you know, picking me up or something.

[And she can't suppress a light laugh at that idea too. It's not like he has a car or a bicycle, but gods can teleport, right? So it's kind of the same thing?]

[Wowowowow he is so smitten, so far gone, goodbye cruel world!! But he manages to grin through it all, despite the thunderous thudding in his chest. Calm down, heart, this is a good one. Promise.]

Roxas? Huh, no. Don't think I know 'im. Is he like... a friend of yours...?

[It's obvious he's her god. DUH. But like... Lance can't help that tiny jealous monster that makes him ask stupid questions like that, okay??]

And you know I'll be doing a lot more than 'picking you up'.

[He wiggles his eyebrows at her. Please stop, Lance...]

[Kairi leans up off the sword, leveling it to poke him in the chest again.]

Remember 'I kind of have 5 brothers'? Roxas is like the biggest brother of them all, 'cuz he's my god.

[She smirks and pokes him in the chest again for good measure.]

So if you plan on picking me up for anything more often than a casual lunch once a month, never mind anything more, I suggest that Chivalrous Guy, Master of Ice stay home and maybe Lance meet Roxas. And probably Sora too. Possibly Riku, if he's visiting.

[Then she lowers the practice sword again.]

After all, that's who I like.

His heart is just... completely stolen. But man, meeting all those brothers sounds daunting. He takes a deep breath and gives her a smile.]

Hey, hey. It's a joke.

[He holds his hands up, placating.]

I'd... love to meet them all. That is, if you really want me to.

[Look at that, he can be serious if he tries.]

Hey, just setting some expectations.

[She's smiling, but it's more serious this time.]

I'm trying to be a really good shinki for him, Lance. It's important to me. I don't want him to get mad or feel like I'm sneaking around.

[She tucks some hair behind one ear then.]

I can't be his exemplar because I'm the third shinki he got, but I can still try to be the most supportive I can be. And everyone says it's okay for gods and shinki to be friends. I believe that. This though... I don't know what he'll think. And he's not here right now so we can't ask him. Sometime soon though, I hope.

[For all that, she does move forward to give him a hug of reassurance.]

[He can definitely understand that mindset - trying to do your best for someone even though you know you can't be the most important person to them. It's a feeling that really hits home for him and he gratefully takes the reassuring hug when she offers it.]

So I'll do whatever I need to do to make you feel like that's what you're doing.

I'll call you after I get the chance to talk to him, okay? But if he calls you first... well, be yourself, like I said. Things will turn out, somehow. It's not like Roxas can be jealous or anything - he's already got someone.

[Man, it sucks to let go of her. Huh, this is a weird, clenching feeling. Strange.

He rubs the back of his neck and smiles at her.]

Man, you're really starting to make me nervous about this. I just hope I can live up to whatever great things I know you're saying about me.

[She holds tight to the hand she still has available.]

Well... If it makes you feel any better, I'm nervous too.

[Then she lets go of his hand and waves at him.]
