[ Sorey didn't want to ignore anyone's cry for help.

That's why he chose to answer the prayer that he did. He can't imagine what it's like - finding a parent in dire need of help as often as they were. He's not sure what words he can offer or what advice he can offer, but... he wants to try.

He looks to Mikleo, frowning a little. As of now, they're standing outside of their home, getting ready to meet with this person. ]

Thanks for coming with me for this. [ He offers quietly. ]

[ Given the situation, Mikleo wasn't much different from Sorey either in terms of wanting to help anyone he came across. It somehow seemed fitting that the two of them ended up as a pair for this prayer. It also must have been quite interesting to learn that the person you were engaging so easily with was someone you were supposed to work with.

Most people would seemed concerned or skeptical but Mikleo didn't feel all of that. Right now he was pretty okay with how things turned out. Slipping out of his thoughts he looks back at Sorey when he saw the other looking at him. ]

Huh? Oh, don't sweat it. Two heads are better than one right?

[ It's those words that prove to be comforting to Sorey. It was definitely true, and that was part of why he'd thought it was even better that Mikleo wanted to come with him. Hearing it just further reminded him of that. ]

Yeah, you're right. We have a better chance of figuring out something for them together like this.

[ He's been getting along with his God pretty well. Compared to the horror stories that he's heard about other Shinkis and their Gods, he had it pretty easy. He's definitely not going to take it for granted.

Strangely enough, the days were always rather exciting when it came to spending it with Sorey. ]

With that being said. Where do you suppose we start? There's quite a few things we'll have to look into.

[ Where should they start... That was an awfully good question, and a bit tricky to answer. This situation was pretty delicate, wasn't it? ]

That's a pretty good question. We should probably start with talking to them first though, right?


{ Though, he was definitely game for any suggestions. ]

[ It seemed like it was. Considering how delicate the situation was, he did agree with talking with the individuals first. Perhaps, there was something that the two of them could learn about the prayer so they could find a good a way to fulfill it. ]

Talking to them seems like the most logical choice for now. Perhaps after talking with them, we should engage with the neighbors? They might give us some insight as well.

[ Mikleo adds to the thought. ]

Good idea. The more points of views we get on this- the more answers we can get for this person.

[ He offers a small smile. Mikleo sure was smart... And it seemed like they had the same ideas for this. Sorey thought that they made a rather good team together. ]

True. We'll be able to help them through their ordeal in no time if everything runs smoothly.

[ He thinks so too and with that being said, Mikleo walks casually ahead briefly to look around for anyone they could question on the way to the home. It seemed logical to gather the information as they go so that when they do reach the home of the person in question, they'll know something. ]

As of right now we know that the prayer was said because their parent was unwell.

[ Sorey nods his head. ]

And, they want to be able to help them.

[ At least, that's what the prayer he heard had said. He's hopeful that they'll be able to answer their prayer, along with helping their parent. ]

Yes that's right.

[ Mikleo replies. It would be great if they were able to help the parent for the individual that was praying for their well being. First things first, finding out what exactly is wrong with the parent. They knew that the parent was unwell but not the specifics.

Mikleo takes a few strides ahead and engages quickly with a nearby neighbor. ]

Excuse me, may we have some of your time?

Hmm? Yes. How can I help you?

[ The person straightens near instantly, looking to both Sorey and Mikleo with a rather pleasant smile. At the least, this person definitely seemed friendly... ]

[ Mikleo ponders a moment before he speaks. ]

We were wondering if you can tell us about the family that lives in that building. I heard that the individual's mother has been constantly ill. We were asked to give them a hand in the mean time but we're not certain what exactly has happened. If you could provide us with any insight at all, we'd appreciate it.

[ It might have been a mouthful but that was the best he got without sounding like he as some sort of creepy stalker. It seemed better to be honest about it than try to mask the truth. ]

[ Sorey awaits an answer before the person in question blinks a little, raising an eyebrow. ]

... Didn't you hear me? How can I help you?

[ Sorey looked at Mikleo for a moment before his expression turns apologetic, and then to the stranger again. ]

Sorry-- I was just wondering, could you tell me anything about the family that lives next door? The mother's been sick for a while, and I wanted to help in any sort of way I could. Can you tell me more about it?

finding the dog

[ This prayer though was... well... Different than the other.

They were to find a lost dog. It sounded simple enough, yet Sorey was aware that it was likely less simple than just that. First of all, where do they start? How should they look for it? Do they just call for the dog? Should they find something the dog liked?

Well, either way - he's sure it'll work out. Somehow.

Though, he looks to Mikleo after a while, he seems almost tense. ... Huh. Was something wrong? ]

Mikleo? You okay?

[ The prayer certainly was different than the other. How did they end up with this. Given from his last experience, Mikleo did not look like he wanted to do this one but a prayer is a prayer right? It was for the good of the living the people who requested it really needed the assistance. However, why did it have to be for a missing dog.

The whole time, Mikleo looked tense and he couldn't even tell Sorey how he felt because it was almost silly, but Dogs-- they were a Seraph's enemy. Clearly something was obviously wrong and Mikleo almost jumps at the sound of the other's voice. He was too caught up in his thoughts. ]

Uh-- n-no... I'm fine.

[ He manages to reply at least. Though, saying he was fine and being fin were two different things. ]

[ That... didn't exactly feel all that reassuring on Mikleo's end. Sorey tilts his head a little, looking on in concern before offering a rather sheepish smile. ]

You sure? We can take a break if you need it. [ No need for him to push himself if something is bothering him. ]

[ Mikleo looked even more stiff at the smile but he tried to straighten himself out. Of course, he had to overcome this right? He couldn't always run away from dogs, the way he ran away from Amaterasu that one night-- but this was hard. ]

No I'm alright. We don't need to take a break.

[ The sooner they get this over with better. He'd get to have a real break. ]

C'mon we should figure out where the dog was last seen.

[ Ever the stubborn one-- that Mikleo. ]

[ Well, if he says so. Sorey won't push more than that, then.

But, where the dog was seen last-- well, that wasn't a difficult question to answer by any means. He remembers where the owner said they last saw him. ]

It was a park nearby, right? If we keep going this way, we should be there soon.

[water_meebo]

[ He insists really since talking about the matter will only make Mikleo even more nervous about the animal. It was also pretty embarrassing to admit to so he was going to try to deal with it on his own until he couldn't anymore. ]

Let's head to the park then. We can trace its trails from there. I'm curious if anyone at the park had seen him.

Good idea. We can start a path to finding him that way. Asking from person to person is a great idea.

[ With that said, he'll start making his way to that very location with Mikleo. ]

[ On the way there Mikleo is very much concentrated on spotting any dogs because he wanted to finish the prayer as quickly as possible so that the owner won't feel sad anymore and to make sure he doesn't get scared to death if the dog jumps at him if they find it.

In the mean time, he seems to have calmed down from being so tense-- at least for right now. ]

Yeah, I think I see people over there. Should we ask?

[ He mused as they close to the park. ]

[ Sorey had his own suspicions on why Mikleo was nervous because of what they were doing, but.... i wouldn't harm either of them. At least, it didn't sound like it was vicious to him. ]

Sure.

[ And with that, Sorey walks side by side with Mikleo to those very people, offering a small smile. ]

Excuse me! We were wondering -- has anyone seen a dog around here recently?

[ It's not very hard to figure out since it's one of the few things he sort of sucks at hiding. He wished he could keep it under wraps but it wasn't possible given his experiences. There's not doubt that the animal would pose any harm to the two of them, but Mikleo was still unsure.

Mikleo follows after him a few steps before Sorey engages with the people passing by. ]

A dog?

[ The man seems a bit perplexed for a moment. ]

There's a lot of dogs that were around here. Ya mind telling me what it looked like?

[ Sorey nods his head, quickly describing what he heard from the prayer. He... hopes that the description would be enough for them to help them to know if they've seen the dog or not. ]

Someone's looking for the dog, so even knowing what direction it might have gone in would be a big help!

[ Mikleo remained quiet as he watched as Sorey explained the prayer to the civilian. The civilian stands, rubbing the back of his head for a moment. ]

I saw a couple of dogs around here fitting the description, but if you're looking for one that belonged to someone who lost him then you'd probably want to try the playground near the preschool. The children were talking about a dog that kept coming up to their gate a while ago.
