Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[Ekko's still reeling from being called a god. Chronos, huh? He's never heard of them before in his life. But he's also never heard of Japan. Seems a hell of a lot like Ionia to him, but whatever.

He's poking around the weapons they've provided. This looks like something from Noxius, that looks Demacian.

The "sword" he has in his hand looks more like a giant clock hand than anything with an edge. But he's already settled on it for now.]

Sure it's not Ionian? [He asks, looking at a katana.]

B. God Training | Gods

So... I just got here. Pretty sure there was a fuck up somewhere. A God's not exactly what I'd call myself.

[Gutter rat street punk elevated to deity? Nobody who knew him would believe something so ridiculous.]

C. Refreshments | OTA

[He's gone and fought some training dummies and now he's settled on a lounge chair, sipping lemonade. Having this much food out is baffling. He grew up in the poor slums of Zaun.]

Where did they get all of this?

They're gods.

[That seems to be the only answer coming from the lanky teenager curled up nearby, picking at a salad. Apparently he's been shooed from eating near the pool, but he doesn't seem to care much for sitting on the lounge chairs.]

Whoever heard of gods being rich?

[The only one he's ever heard of is Janna. And that's a whisper on the wind.]

[Do you want him to tell you about Greek mythology, buddy, because boy has he been studying up]

... Do gods here actually ask for money? Isn't believing in them supposed to be enough?

I'm certain you aren't the only one.

[ There's no condescension in her tone, however. It's only the truth. Not everyone thinks they're cut out to be a god, heck, not everyone seems to want to be a god... but here they are.

But what IS there is a hint of an apology. ]

Though I only wish I had answers as to why you were brought here and who was responsible. For now, the best we can do is to make sure you aren't defenseless...

[Nothing these people can do about it.

Kind of disappointing, but absolutely what he expected.]

I can fight. You don't grow up on the streets without figuring something out.

[ But that's humans for you. They're interesting beings and are rather hardy. She has to hand it to them. ]

Did you just arrive?

Yeah, I met my... shinki? Seemed a little weird though.

[Not, say, Mundo weird, but still weird. Kind of out of it?]

So we're... what? In charge of fighting invisible monsters?

[ A slice of watermelon held in one hand, the blond blinked once, looking down at Ekko with a brief pause.

Then all at once, she smiled with a half shrug, her head tilted just so. ]

From what I've heard, Lady Bishamon is a renowned goddess, so it should really come as no surprise. I imagine that they were either offers, or something to that effect.

[ Hey look Ekko it's some goody-goody know-it-all Demacian. ]

[chronobreak]

[There's something familiar about her but he can't quite pick out what. But he makes a face.

Nothing wrong with doing good, but ergh.]

Ugh. Her followers should be taking care of themselves not some god that might exist.

[ And at that, a strange smile paints her lips. Not quite rehearsed but... practiced maybe? Like without realizing she's found herself reciting some long forgotten poem or charm of some kind. ]

Sometimes people need to believe in something in order to be strong, and to keep moving forward. A light in the darkness.

[ Her smile quickly brightening again, the shinki shrugged gently in a simple, conversationally carefree manner. ]

And that is what we're here for, and why things like this are important.

[There's something familiar in that, but he doesn't quite know what.]

Better to believe in yourself than something that might exist.

[But he'll shrug it off, that's his philosophy, not hers.]

We're here to learn our jobs, is more like it.

[Add is busying himself looking for the throwing weapons when he hears a familiar voice nearby, asking a question to no one in particular. He looks up, squinting for a moment before the name clicks.]

... Ekko, isn't it? [Is he the same Ekko from before? Hard to say, but at least he was an interesting brat to talk to.]

[chronobreak]

Yeah? What's-

[He turns to the person addressing him and realizes he has no idea who this is.]

... How do you know me?

[subtract]

[Man, that'll make this the third person today he's had to reintroduce himself to. He frowns.]

God or shinki? [Safety first.]

[chronobreak]

God. Chronos, from what they told me.

Never heard of 'em before.

[Dokugakuji's been randomly assigned to Ekko and carries a practice sword, but he's got it against his shoulder as he approaches. He's not wearing a shirt either because... it's training, right? He's got a soft smile on his face only because he sympathizes with Ekko so much.]

I know what you mean, man. Let's start at the beginning, huh?

[He lifts his chin in greeting.]

The name's Dokugakuji. Yours?

[He shrugs and plants his practice sword into the ground, leaning back on it.

It's got a different sort of balance from his clock hand "sword", but it's close enough.]

Ekko. You got a nickname?

[Because man, that's a mouthful.]

[That gets a laugh out of Dokugakuji.]

Ekko is it? Yeah. Doku's fine. I wonder if you've learned your god name yet. Some of them are even more difficult than all of that.

[He holds his mouth as if searching for the syllables.]

Ksitigarbha. That's my god alias.

It's Chronos. God of time.... heh.

[Of all the domains he could've ended up with, this is the most fitting.

There's another moment as he tries to parse the word.]

[She leans over to look at the weapon he's examining. The one he's holding looks really bizarre, but she isn't going to question that; it's definitely a Japanese sword he's looking at, though.

Not that she's any kind of expert. What are samurai swords called, anyway?]

... No, that one's Japanese.

What's Greek?

[Ekko can't recognize this as anything truly familiar to him. But he comes from a city of tech, this 'normal' sword thing isn't doing anything for him.]

I've never heard of any of those places.

That's...

[Wait, wasn't he just talking about Ionia? Is this one of those weird disconnects she's noticed? Scully hesitates, blows out a breath, and launches into an explanation.]

The place that all of the shrines seem to be in the... "living world" is Japan. Greece is on the other side of the planet, and Ionia is....

[She hesitates, wrinkling her nose. Ancient Middle Eastern geography isn't her strong point. Weren't those islands closer to Turkey? To the east of Greece? She thinks?]

.. near Greece.

[chronobreak]

[He pauses to let it set in. He has never heard of Greece.]

Is... your Ionia an island? They were getting invaded by Noxius military until they started fighting back.
