Summary: Training sessions for everyone to learn more about their abilities and jobs!



Many people have been wanting to know more about their abilities and what they are required to do here in the Far Shore. So, in conjunction with Bishamonten, the Heavens have seen fit to offer an open training session for everyone to participate in. Here you will be able to learn anything and everything about what you should be able to do and what is expected of you in your new positions.

Bishamon's temple is sweeping and gorgeous, having previously been home to hundreds of shinki. She has graciously offered to hold this training session and will be available to help anyone who needs it.



Equipment

Various kinds of mannequins and dummies have been provided for practice, as well as targets that are either stationary or move, depending on your will. Punching bags, jumping blocks, and a large pool area have also been provided for your use, so that you can find a tool for pretty much anything that you might need to practice. Plenty of practice weapons of various weights, sizes, and shapes are also available upon request from any of the many white-clad shinki that are also attending today.

God Training

Bishamon herself will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of you. It is also encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Shinki Training

Various shinki are available to help with shinki training, including Kazuma and all of Bishamon's shinki. Additionally, the white-clad shinki will be more than happy to train you on using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is also encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies. Random groupings can be provided by the mods or you may come up with your own groupings together.

Refreshments

There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're even just taking a quick break to cool down. The Heavens want you to stay in good condition!

[It goes down exactly the way Chikusa probably played it out in his head. Ken's actually getting interested in the neat movements and the deftness with which Chikusa manipulates the yoyo when it promptly smacks him in the forehead.

The sound he makes is loud, angry, and offended.] Hey! [And he makes a grab for the yoyo.]

[By the time Ken recovers and is grabbing for the yoyo, Chikusa has it snapped back into his palm and straightens up to his full height so that he can stretch his arm up into the air.]

[Yes. Yes he is abusing his absurd height in the most immature fashion.]

[Bitch do you think Ken is mature and reserved enough not to try to climb you like a tree because by Axel he'll do it

Which is to say that he's already in the process of doing it, using a hand on Chikusa's shoulder to boost him up to try and reach.] How come you're so damn tall?!

Because-

[There's no actual, now, just grunting, because what the fuck Ken. Chikusa starts to reach up with his other hand before he realizes: you know what's easier than shoving a face?]

[Falling.]

[So enjoy this tall douchebag nerd letting the weight of you carry both of your dumb asses straight to the ground, Ken, and he is absolutely making you hit the ground first unless you get off.]

[There are dual problems with this plan, Chikusa.

One, you are a tall child, and thus you have some distance to fall.

Two, Ken has the reflexes of an animal. As soon as he feels Chikusa's center of balance shift inevitably forward, he's swearing and springing away, leaving Chikusa to topple like a felled tree all by himself.

Where, knowing Chikusa, he'll probably lay until the earth swallows him or Axel comes to fetch them, whichever comes first.]

[Listen, he can't feel pain and is all out of fucks. This plan is still a success as far as he's concerned.]

[And while, with all he's done today and how exhausting emotions are, he would love to just lay there.... He still has more things in store. Unfortunately. So, huffing and apparently having down the bare minimum of minimizing the impact, he shuffles up onto his elbows with his arms folded.]

....Don't touch my yoyos.

[junkyarddog]

You made me touch 'em, byon. With my face. [And Ken makes a face at him, like the mature teen he is.

Then he moves to crouch down near Chikusa, sniffing the air a little. He detects something in the air.] ...you hurt yourself falling down or something?

That's different.

[And liable to start another dumb argument, which Chikusa isn't sure if he has the energy for. Not immediately, anyway. Ken crouching down to sniff at him earns a quirk of his eyebrow.]


No... [Nothing really hurts, but that's not something he advertises.] I just don't want to get up.

[Moving is horrible and ill advised and he hates it.]

[Ken sniffs again.] I smell blood though, byon.

[kokuyoyo]

[...Oh.]

[That finally seems to get Chikusa to start pushing himself up.]

It's nothing important...

[Did the stitches break or something? He'll have to find somewhere private and check... There's no need to draw attention to this.]

Lemme see, byon. [And Ken's reaching out to tug on Chikusa's shirt, trying to lift it. Personal space and privacy are just words, man. Besides, now that Chikusa's being evasive, Ken is immediately curious and guaranteed to investigate.]

[kokuyoyo]

[Okay, wow, rude???? With an annoyed noise tumbling out of his mouth, he immediately tries to shove his shirt downwards before it can get much higher.]

No. Why?

[junkyarddog]

[Ken immediately counters.] Why're you hiding it? [Check and mate.]

[kokuyoyo]

Because you're annoying.

[It's.... not the best reason, but it's sure a reason.]

[junkyarddog]

Then I'll just be more annoying until you show me, byon! [Ken's answer isn't the best, either, but it does have its own, terrible logic. And he's yanking at Chikusa's shirt again.]

[kokuyoyo]

[Is he going to lose his shirt at this rate? That actually seems like a strong chance right now, and he shoves it down harder.]

Why do you want to see it so bad? It's none of your business.

[junkyarddog]

'Cause you're trying to hide it! [Obviously. Unfortunately, it's hard to deter that kind of curiosity without actually indulging it, unless one wants to be harassed until the curious person loses interest.]

[kokuyoyo]

[Uuuuuugh. On one hand, Chikusa knows he has the patience to just outwait anybody, if he really wanted. On the other hand, he doesn't necessarily have the energy for it.... especially with someone that's apparently so high energy as Ken is. For a second, he holds out by still tugging his shirt down, weighing his options, and then he sighs.]

No one's going to take off their clothes in public like this...

[junkyarddog]

So show me somewhere else, byon! [And Ken immediately starts looking around for somewhere private for Chikusa to take his clothes off.

After a moment, he decides they can duck around the side of the temple, and starts hauling Chikusa up and toward the nearest corner. Judging by the rough handling, concern is a secondary (or nonexistent) factor compared to curiosity when it comes to this injury.]

[Chikusa lets himself be tugged and dragged along, going pretty damn slow for someone with as much leg as he has.]

This is so troublesome...

[Once it looks like they've reached the place Ken wants them to be, he looks carefully around and.... doesn't seem impressed. It's hard to tell if he's actually unimpressed or if his face is just. like that.]

Is this really the best you could think of...?

[Ken huffs and shoves him.] What do you want, a changing room? Show me already, byon!

[kokuyoyo]

[There's not even a reaction to the shove besides Chikusa righting himself, just another sigh before he tugs up his shirt. For someone who regularly filches food and has in fact amassed a small hoard to take back to the temple from the things that the local shinki have put out, he's far too lean.]

[And, wrapped over his ribs, are white bandages, blotted just faintly with pink.]

There... Now stop being annoying...

[And Ken, with absolutely zero thought apparent or present, promptly pokes the bandages. It's a lucky thing Chikusa's sense of pain is deadened in any case.] What'd you do, anyway? [Then he sniggers.] Yoyo too hard?

[kokuyoyo]

[The stitches are close to being almost fully healed, Ken.... don't make them worse. The commentary earns an eye roll.]

I was fighting someone.... obviously.

[junkyarddog]

Don't you turn into a yoyo, though? How do you hurt a yoyo? [Ken frowns. Chikusa told him he can't just bite things, so they can't fight normally, right? (Which is a super depressing thought. Ken wants to fight normally.) Axel's supposed to use them as weapons.]
