Don’t care for what they say (closed - prayer log)
Who: Hajime Ichinose, Davesprite & Yuto
What: Prayer #31: Prayer for Protection and onward
When: June 19th - Evening
Where: Near Shore; Country
Warnings: TBA
「No matter what I try, my animals are getting lured out of their pens and killed! I almost caught the thieving beast the other night, but it got away. I thought raising animals was my calling and now I'm not so sure.」
[Hajime twirls the notecard between her fingers. With the sun setting just over the horizon and day slowly falling to dusk it was the perfect chance to check things out. With her two favorite shinki along for the ride it should all go smoothly.
The prayer doesn't seem that difficult so it may be it was a little over kill to bring both her shinki but there's a good reason for it. Besides wanting to help this person and their animals the other main focus of this prayer is going to be getting some quality bonding time in for Davesprite and Yuto. Even though they all live together, she hardly sees the two of them interact with one another. They're both very different, she understands that but having to work together on a prayer might open some doors and help the two boys understand each other better. She hopes!
The prayer has lead the group to a more rural area, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The land is wide and stretches far with only a house or barn standing out every so often. There's only one road that leads to and from as well. But this large home sticks out from the rest. There's no farm animals or barn to be seen. But there is a large dome shaped building behind it. Glass panels line it from top to bottom almost giving it the appearance of an enlarged greenhouse. It's much bigger then the family house! With a brief tour, the animal explains that he raises and breeds various types of birds that are rare to Japan. Some are even rescues and are healed then released back into the wild. The man expresses his love for his feathery friends and how he passionate he is about his work. But even despite his best efforts to further secure the "bird house", something keeps getting in and killing the birds.
Even just standing outside the bird house now, Hajime can't help but keep admiring it with a open mouth smile. It's huge with so many different kinds of pretty birds! The animal handler wishes them luck, hands over his key to the bird dome. He mentions if they need anything further to just come knock on the front door and heads back to his house with promise that things will be solved. They can't let the poor man down.
She glances back to Davesprite and Yuto, smile bright as ever. Lifting her right hand she holds out two fingers and winks at them. It's a shame Kuroro-kun isn't here too. He loves birds too and this sounds like just the prayer for him. But this isn't about bonding with Kuroro. It's Yuto's and Davesprite's turn!
Time to save some birds!]
Ready, Ready? Davesprite! Yuto! It'll be night soon! So, Let's do our best!

Ready, Ready? Davesprite! Yuto! It'll be night soon! So, Let's do our best!

At Hajime's declaration, Davesprite glances towards her and twitches his wings slightly to roll himself over, hands dropping from their position.]
I'm just putting on record that this is exactly how the first act of your average B-grade horror movie goes down. Everyone turning up at some cool and improbable themed hideout just as night falls, predators looming in the shadows, unbridled optimism for like five seconds until the actual horror bit starts.

When Davesprite starts talking about horror movies, Yuto gives him an unimpressed look.]
This won't be like in a horror movie.
[He approaches Hajime, wanting to stay close to his god just in case. At the same time he keeps a watchful eyes on their surroundings.]

Horror movies don't have a Yuto or a Davesprite so I think we're a lot better off! Besides, the animals are whatever-it-is's target, right? We just gotta protect the birdies in here and catch whatever is doing it.
[Hajime isn't worried for herself so much as she is for the birds. The fact they have to wait for some kind of sign to act does bother her. She likes diving head first into things. Who knows! Maybe there's even a reason behind all this.]
It's luring them out so it'll probably be best to stay out here. It gives us way more room to move, spread our wings and I donno how well a dragon can fit inside that place.
[A gentle wink to Yuto. A dragon inside a glass building does not sound like a good idea. But if it's how the bird keeper said, they should be able to catch whatever it is outside.]

I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying. Don't be surprised if we go full metal cliche storm by he end of the night.
[And while Davesprite definitely has much more attention for Hajime's words and even makes himself look slightly more like he's properly listening, he can't help but quirk a brow and gesture broadly to himself with one hand.]
I can't even begin to tell you how amazingly reassured I am by the fact that they're after the animals.
no subject
So yes, let's stay outside.]
So now we wait.
[And then there's Davesprite about horrors again.]
Of course.
[Yuto doesn't even spare him a look, but he frowns at the other part of what Davespite says.]
We'll protect the animals. All of them.
[There's confidence in his voice.]
no subject
That's right! We'll protext the animals. Together!
[In the same motion she reached for both their hands, she tries to to pull their hands together and place them in the other before letting go. Hold hands and get along boys! We're all family here. Hajime giggles and turns her attention back to the birdkepper's home briefly. She can see light peeking out from the open blinds of a window. It's easy to guess the birdkeeper is looking out worriedly. She can't blame him for being worried or fully believing in them. But she waves at the house reassuringly. With Davesprite and Yuto, how can they possibly fail?]
We gotta stay confident and believe in each other. You're both amazing, you know?
no subject
When Hajime goes to take their hands, Davesprite doesn't resist - however, his hand tenses and he spreads his talons when she tries to put it together with Yuto's. He figures the other guy is about as interested in holding hands as Davesprite is, and he's not going to force it on someone who doesn't seem to want anything to do with him.]
Yeah, okay, we can be amazing without the touching each other, holding hands and kumbaya. With a stick rammed that far up him I'd be more surprised if this kind of shit wasn't right up his alley, and I already know you're not leaving this until everyone is the happiest they can possibly be out of it. [The difference there is he actually sounds subtly fond when he's talking about Hajime.]
