[Forrest has never had a sleepover before, so he's pretty excited to host one at his temple. He sends out invitations ahead of time to everyone he can think of, letting them know to bring pajamas, snacks, and even a friend or two if they want. He's clad in a frilly pink nightgown with ribbons and bows for the occasion, and he's temporarily converted Lakshmi's audience chamber into a space where the guests can all party and sleep. It was already mostly full of pillows to begin with, so all he had to do was move some more in and set up some tables for snacks and things. One of the tables conspicuously contains all of his beauty supplies, because like hell is Forrest hosting a slumber party without makeovers. Anyone who shows even the slightest bit of interest will get their makeup, hair, or nails done. Soft music and the scent of lotus blossoms drift through the air, creating the perfect atmosphere for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.]

((OOC: If you've got a teenager that Forrest has talked to more than once, assume he invited them. Friends of friends are totally welcome as well. Everyone can feel free to put up their own toplevels, and everybody tag everybody and mingle to your heart's content!))

[He pauses, then asks another question:]

Do you want to teach me?

[oathkeeper]

[He blushes a little in embarrassment.]

I dunno, maybe! If you want to? I'm not really the greatest at teaching but it might be kinda fun?

[He grins.]

Then we get to fight with wooden swords instead of pillows!

[darkduelist]

And fighting with wooden swords is better than pillows?

[You can actually hurt someone with a wooden sword.]

...But maybe I should learn something like that.

[To protect others even when he's not in his dragon form.]

Yeah, loads better.

[Sora is gentle when he tries to teach people things. But in a real spar...

Let's just say Sora's not always a cinnamon roll.]

Really?! [He lights up with excitement.] That's great! I think you'll be really good at it, Yuto!

[darkduelist]

And why it's better?

[At the other part he pauses and thinks about it for a moment.]

You think so? Well, we'll see.

[oathkeeper]

Because it takes a lot more skill and coordination! ... Sorta like... Dancing!

[Not really, but there you have it.]

[darkduelist]

Like dancing... [He repeats that as if uncertain if fighting has anything in common with dancing, but then he nods.] Well, I know what you're trying to say.

[Or at least he thinks so.]

[oathkeeper]

Great! [Sora pats Yuto on the shoulder.] It's a deal then. I'll try and teach you! It'll be nice to have someone to practice with.

[darkduelist]

[He nods again.]

Alright. But when do you want to start teaching me?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora scratches his cheek.]

How about in July? We can use my temple too unless Hajime's would be better for you? We'll also need to get you a wooden sword to practice with. And a real one.

[darkduelist]

In July then. Your place sounds good to me and we can talk about details later.

[He takes a look around.]

...I'm guessing you're already friends with everyone here.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora nods. And the plans are set.]

Almost everyone! Kairi invited a lot of her new friends, so I'm still making my way around to say hello.

[darkduelist]

[Okay, he didn't actually expect that answer, but he feels he shouldn't even be surprised. And now he really has to ask.]

...Is there at least one person out there that you don't consider a friend?

[oathkeeper]

Hmm? [Sora tilts his head and then takes a quick second to glance around the room.]

Well there's some people here I don't know yet? Kairi and Forrest have some friends I don't know.

[But he wouldn't really consider them not-friends? Just acquaintances!]

[darkduelist]

You really consider every person you meet your friend?

[Yuto shakes his head a little, as if not believing his own ears.]

You're amazing.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora grins sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head as he does so.]

Is that a bad thing?

[He sees the good in everyone first, even in strangers.]

[darkduelist]

[Yuto regards him with unreadable expression as he thinks of an answer.]

There are also bad people in the world.

[oathkeeper]

I know. But, no one is born bad.

[Sora says simply in return, his grin changing to a smile.]

[darkduelist]

[Yuto looks at him a moment longer, before turning away and closing his eyes.]

You're right about that. But that doesn't mean much. Knowing who you can trust is important, too.

[oathkeeper]

I'll always give people a chance before I decide if I can trust them or not, Yuto.

[Sora says this with pure conviction. Just because he trusts people and sees them as friends first doesn't mean he's an idiot about it. He's been proven wrong for trusting the wrong people before but at least he can say to himself that he gave that person a chance.]

If I can't trust someone, they'll know it.

[darkduelist]

That's what I don't understand about you.

[He takes a moment to just look at Sora before he explains:]

It isn't a bad thing to believe in people and it isn't a bad thing to want to understand them either. But trust and friendship is different. It's something that has to be earned.

[oathkeeper]

[It makes him think about when he met Yuto and how the other didn't trust him or consider him a friend for such a long time. Sora has pursued that with all his might but there's one thing he does remember specifically.]

I remember when I first met you I invited you to a get together at my temple. You got really mad at me for thinking we were friends already, I really thought you weren't gonna show up at all or talk to me ever again.

[Sora laughs.]

I'm really glad you gave me a chance to earn your trust, Yuto.

[darkduelist]

[Yuto gives him a surprised look.]

I don't remember getting mad... Did I really seem like that?

[He looks genuinely confused. But then he gives Sora very small smile and looks away.]

You're a good person, Sora, so of course I gave you a chance.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora nudges Yuto playfully.]

I mean, a little.

[He's joking but also kind of not. He really did think he annoyed Yuto too much back then and totally blew it. he just really likes yuto and really wanted to be friends because yuto was and still is so super cool okay]

Thanks, Yuto. You are too.

[darkduelist]

[Yuto catches his hand after Sora nudges him. And he doesn't let go.

He gives Sora a serious look.]

I wouldn't get mad at anyone because of something like that. [Never. He doesn't think it's bad to seek friendship with someone. Yuto smiles a little.] ...It takes way more than that to make me mad.

[And his smile turns grateful even though there's a bit of embarrassment in it as well. He is glad that Sora thinks so, but Yuto also realizes he has to work on being a better person.

And he should probably start from making sure nobody thinks he's angry when he's not.]
