Who: Everyone!

Summary: So many shrines have popped up! Go visit your homelands!

The Heavens have received reports of many shrines to the "new gods" they are harboring appearing all over the world. These shrines seem to be additional, new shrines to those gods. Older shrines to those gods still exist, but these ones are shiny, new, and way more compatible with the "new gods". God characters, as well, will have felt the sudden pull towards their homelands and be compelled to travel to them. But the Heavens have taken it a step farther, offering the Meeting Hall as a place for gods and shinki to group up and go out for the day to the various places that are now calling out to them.

Please ignore the fact that they are mostly doing this so that you all will collect information for them without their begging for it or having to reward you.

Meeting Hall

The Meeting Hall is being used as a sort of hub right now. Any groups that are planning to meet up and travel together can meet here, but you might also find someone who's going somewhere you'd like to and tag along with them. Additionally, the Heavens have provided packed lunches for everyone to take with them, should they desire to. This also serves as a meeting place for all of the new gods and shinki.

Locals

Local pantheons have been alerted to the impending visitors. They are happy to welcome their brethren home and are likely to make a big fuss about their brothers and sisters staying with them. Local gods are welcome to be interpreted however you would like, just be sure not to NPC any god that is already taken by a god player. Also, you may find yourself running into some local spirits during your sight-seeing - including local ayakashi and various folklore spirits.

Flyers

They may not stick out at first, but those who are paying attention will notice that there are a large number of flyers being left around at their new shrines. Heck, even walking through the human towns, you will find flyers scattered on the ground and pinned to cork boards and nailed to telephone poles. All bear the same message: "Down with the Heavens. Down with Amaterasu." The locals gods are well versed in the flyers, saying that there have been some strange characters around throwing these flyers at anyone who will give them the time of day. Even humans will note that some shady-looking people have been putting up these strange posters.

Who will discover Amaterasu will be decided randomly on 3/20/17 OOC. At that point, a follow-up post will be made by Amaterasu herself.

[ Miyuki is impressed by Mexico City, the people and all the spirits that flit in and out of the sights. He's fine with moving alongside Mei and Sanada, phone out and thumb scrolling idly over the screen that he glances down at every now and then. While Mei can teleport them, should they get lost, he's not particularly interested in the whole getting lost in the first place thing.

It also lets him take pictures of things, as you do when you're a tourist, and he marks where the shrine is when they get there.

He also looks up the stairs, up and up and up, until he simpers ] Not happening. [ at Mei, without missing a beat with Sanada, starting the trek upwards and not looking at their god. ]

Nah. [ he cheerfully says at the same time Miyuki voices his dissent. He might indulge Mei in a lot of things, but carrying him up the stairs is bound to risk injury. Not to mention that he wouldn’t be able to properly take in the scenery anyway, and this place is too awesome not to check out as soon as possible.

So pardon him if he’s joining Miyuki on the climb up, only sparing a quick glance down at his god: ]

You can always join us instead, you know. You’ll get out of the sun a lot quicker that way. [ /lowkey shade ]

[ mei is being disrespected here ]

[ mei stands there with his nose in the air and preening for a solid second until he is denied by both of his rude, terrible shinki--he looks mildly shocked that they didn't actually agree to do it, but. mei is nothing if not used to that treatment (thanks, masa-san!) and he huffs, rolls his eyes, and follows them. ]

You're both terrible at this. [ ok mei. the complaining starts again as he makes his way up the stairs...damn, there are a lot. ] Wait for me, it's my temple!

[ he catches up fairly easily, though, pushing between the two of them to end up a step ahead. ]

[ Why does he even look surprised? Miyuki would have expected this, if he was in Mei's position - but, then again, he'd never be in Mei's position - and just laughed it off. But, no, Mei takes offense. Of course he does.

Ignoring their god a second longer, he slides a glance over to Sanada, unimpressed but amused, until he's windmilling a little to keep from stumbling on the stairs when Mei shoves ahead. ]

Excuse us, Mei-sama. [ deadpan ]

Oi— [ Do you want your shinki to die a second time, Mei? He manages to catch himself just in time, and reaches out to steady Miyuki as well. ]

Come on, you two. [ He huffs—ultimately he’s used to this kind of thing right now. It’s hard not to wonder if he used to be a referee in his former life, but hey. ]

We can all go up together! It’ll be like training, anyway.

Whatever. [ that's probably the closest to acquiescing you're going to get out of mei, and he reaches up to adjust the hat (that he stole from kazuya) on his head so it blocks the sun out a little better, dutifully waiting for both of his shinki.

for once in his life. ] If I really wanted to, I could just poof up there, you know.

[ but just because he is so kind he'll take the stairs with his shinki. they're golden and intricate and beautiful--suiting for a god and a king. yeah. his shrine is pretty sweet, he has to say~ ♥ ]

[ Once he's steady, Miyuki reaches and gives the back of Sanada's shoulder a quick clap of gratitude. He probably wouldn't have died? Maybe? He's not going to hold his breath on that one, though, and instead will focus on their job as babysitters.

Even if he bickers with Mei just as much as Sanada referees for them. ]

You do that if you really want to - I'm with Sanada on this one. [ It'll be worth it to get to the top, anyways. ]

—But we’re happy that you chose to hang out with us anyway. [ Right, Miyuki? Don’t make him twist your arm—not that he’d actually do that, but. You know.

Will somebody please stick a get-along shirt on those two already ]

[ nice save sanada... mei scowls at miyuki, all ready to say something mean, but sanada shuts him up and the glare just turns into his mouth turned down in a little frown.

he turns his head away again, taking a couple stairs up to stay on pace with them. ] Good. [ hanging out with mei is a privilege, thank you very much! ] It'll make it worth it when we get up there, anyway. I wonder how gold it is on the inside?

[ With a slight loll of his head, coupled with a sigh, Miyuki acquiesces to the look that Sanada gives him. Fine, fine, let Mei have this. He'll stop poking him on the extremely steep, nearly infinite steps. ]

The fact it's still got any gold at all is probably a miracle, given historical looting.

[ Just so long as nobody’s tumbling down the stairs. Do neither of you have any sense of self-preservation here— ]

Even if there isn’t gold, somebody’s probably left some offerings, right? [ Then again, they might be gone too for all he knows. At the end of the day, it’s the bustling streets of Mexico that intrigue him more than the inside of some strange, steep building, anyway. ]

[ mei's immortal now all bets are off ]

Hmm~ definitely. [ hopefully, anyway. mei gets that face, the one where he feels like he's being praised, looking a little too delighted with himself. really, him being a god was the best decision anyone could have made... ♥ ] I wonder if they'll be different here.

[ at least they're almost to the top, now. they're all athletes: it's not any harder than coach kunitomo's death sprints. ] Technically, this is our home for this trip. I guess.

[ Miyuki's fight or flight instincts are broken - he does neither, usually, unless there's competition involved. Sorry buddy. ]

Probably more appropriate for the culture, as opposed to what random Japanese worshippers there are. [ Making Mei a god was an awful choice.

But he stretches when they get to the top, sniffing. (Kataoka'd love to make them climb these steps a few times.) ] Or for any future visits.

[ Making Mei a god was an odd choice, but hey, as long as everyone’s…happy? Or most everyone—there are no guarantees for Miyuki, alas. ]

Well, I hope some of your new followers are inside. [ He’s a little more winded compared to the two of you because guess who was a lazy butt in his previous life— ]

I’d love to meet them. [ And let them take charge of the cleanup or whatever other chore needs doing in here. ]

[ um by an odd choice you mean an AMAZING choice ]

Me too! [ mei chirps about that, immediately cheerful at the mere thought: he has followers, those are way better than instagram followers... if nothing he's definitely used to being followed around...

turning around to face the temple, he puts his hands up in a picture frame shape. ] Apparently, I'm a god of war, and a god of the sun. Pre~tty important, you know.
