Summary: So many shrines have popped up! Go visit your homelands!



The Heavens have received reports of many shrines to the "new gods" they are harboring appearing all over the world. These shrines seem to be additional, new shrines to those gods. Older shrines to those gods still exist, but these ones are shiny, new, and way more compatible with the "new gods". God characters, as well, will have felt the sudden pull towards their homelands and be compelled to travel to them. But the Heavens have taken it a step farther, offering the Meeting Hall as a place for gods and shinki to group up and go out for the day to the various places that are now calling out to them.

Please ignore the fact that they are mostly doing this so that you all will collect information for them without their begging for it or having to reward you.



Meeting Hall

The Meeting Hall is being used as a sort of hub right now. Any groups that are planning to meet up and travel together can meet here, but you might also find someone who's going somewhere you'd like to and tag along with them. Additionally, the Heavens have provided packed lunches for everyone to take with them, should they desire to. This also serves as a meeting place for all of the new gods and shinki.

Locals

Local pantheons have been alerted to the impending visitors. They are happy to welcome their brethren home and are likely to make a big fuss about their brothers and sisters staying with them. Local gods are welcome to be interpreted however you would like, just be sure not to NPC any god that is already taken by a god player. Also, you may find yourself running into some local spirits during your sight-seeing - including local ayakashi and various folklore spirits.

Flyers

They may not stick out at first, but those who are paying attention will notice that there are a large number of flyers being left around at their new shrines. Heck, even walking through the human towns, you will find flyers scattered on the ground and pinned to cork boards and nailed to telephone poles. All bear the same message: "Down with the Heavens. Down with Amaterasu." The locals gods are well versed in the flyers, saying that there have been some strange characters around throwing these flyers at anyone who will give them the time of day. Even humans will note that some shady-looking people have been putting up these strange posters.

Destruction

Whether you return early because of boredom, never left because you're uninterested, or late because you've been having fun, the middle of the night will bring an interesting sight to all. The Heavens will find themselves under attack - in the form of a large fire set at the temple of Amaterasu herself. The entire home is going up in flames and no one knows where Amaterasu is. They're asking for help in dousing the fire or even entering the burning home to find the small goddess and possibly look for the saboteurs, though the only people who are still around are Amaterasu's shinki, in varying states of distress and consciousness.

Note: Who will discover Amaterasu will be decided randomly on 3/20/17 OOC. At that point, a follow-up post will be made by Amaterasu herself.

[The dryad's response is to giggle playfully, and move nimbly to another tree. She settles herself into some of the higher branches.

Senri rushes over to that tree and growls menacingly. That is his book!! She waves it at him teasingly.]

I understand joking around. I promise I do. I'll even play with you a little while if you'd like, or I can trade you something-

[Then she gets an idea.]

How about a game? If you can sit on this cloud, then I give you something in exchange for the book. If you can't sit on the cloud, then Senri gets it back for free.

[The dryad hums thoughtfully as she looks over the strange cloud and taps one delicate finger on her chin. Senri keeps his eyes on the book. It's too important to risk losing sight of again.]

In~ter~est~ing.... Okay, you've got a deal. But are you sure? I might want something really nice in exchange....

[Her tone is teasing, and also confident. Kairi was sitting on that cloud after all. How hard can it be?]

[Kairi's just hoping that as a Near Shore spirit, maybe only Far Shore people can ride on it. That's the only common thread she's seen so far, but she also can't imagine that normal people could ride it either. It's a cloud at the end of the day. She has no idea it only allows the Pure of Heart to ride it.]

I give you my word that I'll find something really nice for you.

[For one thing, she can call Roxas at this point if she absolutely needs help. She's sure that he won't mind helping her get something "really nice" just to get Senri's book back.]

You can even name it now, if you'd like - some kind of really nice dress maybe? Or some decorations for your grove here?

Hmm, I always thought this place could be livened up with a little more ivy. Maybe you could fetch some. And plant it?

[She starts descending from the tree, but pauses when Senri growls again.]

Uh oh... he doesn't bite, does he?

I've never seen him like this before - you took something important to him.

[But she pats the cloud anyway.]

Nimbus, go over closer to her... please.

[Thankfully Nimbus obeys. It knows something she doesn't - proximity doesn't guarantee a ride.]

[If she gets close enough, Senri might actually bite her. But claws are more likely. Either way, even she realizes that getting closer to him would not be the best idea. Instead she turns her attention to the cloud.]

[Kairi doesn't stifle laughter at the nymph's expense.]

I don't know!

[And she honestly doesn't. She walks over and is prepared to just take the book while the nymph is stunned, then back off as quick as possible towards Senri.]

Everyone else has been able to sit on the cloud! All of my friends... they didn't fall through!

[There is an indignant sputter from the dryad. It seems she doesn't like being laughed at. But she knows she's lost.]

F-fine! Just take the stupid book. I'm bored with this game anyway...

[Doesn't mean she has to lose gracefully though. She lets Kairi take the book and retreats back up into the trees in a huff. Senri glares at her until she's gone, then turns his attention to more important matters.]

Book..?

[There's a hopeful note to his voice. Maybe this girl will give it back?]

[Kairi sticks out her tongue after the nymph's fully back in her tree.]

[But she promptly turns back to Senri and hands his book to him.]

There you go, Senri. You can have your book back.

[The gratitude in his tone is clear. Senri takes the book back and immediately sits down on the ground. He opens the book and starts flipping through the pages until....

He very gently takes out the small starfish charm and looks from that to her.]

Kairi....

[Senri smiles in relief. He remembers now.]

[She tries to touch his wrist holding her charm.]

[A happy nod. The pressure is off because he has his book back and everything will be okay now. And because he remembers her now Senri doesn't flinch or pull away when she touches him.

It does finally occur to him that maybe he caused her some trouble today.]

[She does try to hug him, or at least a sideways hug.]

[Oh. They're family! Senri doesn't remember ever having a family, but it's a warm feeling all the same. He's especially glad he got his book back now. It's too sad to even think of forgetting Kairi, his sister.]

[He confirms it with a gentle smile as he pats her head.]

[She smiles so fondly back at him, now that it sounds like he understands how she feels. Her cheeks get warm too with just being happy that things worked out the way they did.]

[She puts one hand at the crook of his elbow and grins.]

[A very firm nod. Senri is very ready to go far away from this place. He carefully puts the book away in the pouch at his side. And this time he double checks to make sure it's closed. Better safe than sorry.]
