Oh my dear, but you were half right - I am a weaver goddess, and I have been indeed making outfits for the gods all year long. Some of them require very little effort, and others significant specific items and are a lengthy creation process.
However, the Heavens, well... they do as they please. I believe D2 and I were speaking about it a little earlier... they have decided to make the festival earlier than the actual day of Tanabata.
[Because for them, it's just another day.]
I must work all through the year to prepare for the festival as well as the make the attire requested by the other gods.

Either way, isn't the festival celebrated at different dates from July to August depending on the region anyway? Though they usually start July 7th. [ Which is tomorrow. ] Or something like that.

When last I heard of celebrations specific to the Near Shore, they often celebrate the week preceding the 7th. As early as July 1st. As Tanabata takes places on the seventh day of the seventh month, some locales choose to celebrate for seven days.

I don't think they should monitor it, but they should help out a bit more.
