Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:

Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.

Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:

The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.

Prayer #35:

Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!

Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:

With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it down ~~AND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAM~~ and ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!

Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:

Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

"It would not surprise me after today." the elezen speaks, folding his arms. "However, it would be unwise to not investigate further. We did find one ayakashi, what is stopping another to form or even have been around already?" While it's not like the discourse with the teenagers, Aymeric can feel like there's something off but he doesn't need godly powers to sense it; while it's only been days, Aymeric does like to come here and people watch, to get a better feel of the populace. And they've been mostly friendly to each other...

"I rather not risk it. We should ensure that it is safe before we go back to the Far Shore."

Goten is busying himself with a stay empty soda can. He's been kicking it along with them ever since the miscommunication was settled. Which might be a good thing considering all the lizards he could probably find on the island instead. At least this way he's staying around his god and Kairi.

"But where do we start? The island is pretty big for being so small." Goten is all for helping people, granting more wishes or prayers, and tracking down strong ayakashi but without a place to start they could just be going in circles. There's something off. Goten can exactly place why he feels that way. Heligoland feels like Heligoland but heavier-oh!

He kicks the soda can a little to hard and it zips past the side of Aymeric's face, barely missing the god and into the air. Whoops.

Instinctively, Kairi throws a Borderline out where the soda can is heading, aiming it away from hitting either of them on the way back down. Then she laughs a little. "Maybe afterwards we can make a game out of that - Borderline Volleyball." She's come up with a dozen games around Goten, at least. "When we're back at your temple, for a little bit of training?" If nothing else it gave Goten something to look forward to.

"Is there a town square where everyone gathers? Like a, uh..." She struggles for the word. "Like a bar or a pub or restaurant where all the adults go, you know? And they might talk about what's going on - if all of their kids are fighting or something."

But she looks to Aymeric anyway - maybe he has a better idea?

Not so good at anything his foot. Aymeric can't help but give a slight grin at how quick she manages to send the can flying and with little effort. She really does need to realize how powerful she is and how good she must be to her god and friends.

"Of course, you need not to ask for permission for such a thing. My doors are always open for friends; just let me know and I will ensure the training grounds be ready." Aymeric won't turn her away, gods no.

"Hmm, there are a few taverns but if we all must be in a place, there is a park that I have seen adults frequent. It is home to what they call a 'farmer's market' and a good place for conversation without the restriction of tables."

Goten's mouth hangs agape in awe as he stares at Kairi and where her borderline was. Slowly, his face lights up. At least Goten never lacks energy. He grins, bouncing up and down. "That's amazing Kairi! You can throw borderlines up so fast! Wow....you gotta show me how sometime!"
He wants to be able to do that. Sure, he could probably do something similar with a ki blast but that wasn't a borderline. He really needs to practice those more if he wants to be half as good as Kairi.

"Can we? I wanna train more and play borderline volleyball. Even if I lose, I'd be fun!"

Yes, he is so looking forward to this now. But for now; they do need to make sure the island is safe.

"That sounds like as good a place as any to start. Let's got to the farmers market then." Goten takes a few steps ahead of them, arms out. "C'mon. If it's a farmer's market, I bet there's a bunch to eat!"

Kairi holds up her hands in a placating way to Goten first. "Okay okay, it's a deal! Borderline Volleyball when we get back, Goten!" It does sound like a really interesting opportunity, to her, if they can manage it. She's had a problem maintaining her borderlines for extended period of time, but never making them show up as fast as she can make the hand gesture - which is essentially what a "sport" like that would require.

She watches as Aymeric leads them to the Farmer's Market and she starts to listen up for any adults that are talking in not just an animated way, but a quiet way - something in a hushed, embarrassed tone or an angry one or even a worried one. She starts to wander off a little further away from Goten and Aymeric, glancing over the fruit area in particular. She's not too far though - certainly within range to catch a glimpse of Aymeric again, if not Goten, while they're all walking around. She's just hoping it'll be one of the people buying something that she can hear speaking about the issue, because they're all milling together on the same side of the market stalls compared to the adults running them.

Then that sinking feeling in her gut crops up again - but only for a split second. Maybe it's another ayakashi that can move really fast? She gets a little bit squeamish in her stomach when a particularly powerful one is around, but the feeling also passed very quickly. That's when she looks back over to Aymeric, concerned.

Aymeric has another thing to try and learn after this: what Volleyball is because that just goes over his head and it wasn't another can Goten kicked. He decides to stay near Goten just in case an unexpected food emergency happens, listening closely to the marketgoers speak. Some were haggling on prices on apples while others were discussing about something a few tourists did and he couldn't help but wonder if his feeling was off. But as he turns a corner, he couldn't help but overhear something.

"I'm a bit worried about my daughter. She's really torn up about her friend lately-"

He tries to listen but something catches his eye. The elezen couldn't get a good look but there was something. With Kairi giving him a concerned look, he then turns to Goten. "Do you sense anything off?"

And to answer Aymeric's question; Goten's stomach lets out a loud growl. He pats his stomach as he looks up at the god with a apologetic smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Not sorry for being hungry, just for the loudness.

"Uhm, The only thing I'm feeling right now is how hungry I am." He has no problem admitting it. It's rare when Goten isn't hungry or isn't thinking about food. "Uh...the air sorta feels heavy? But this place always sorta feels weird." He gives a small shrug. He hadn't thought too much of it. Something was off but that was a feeling he's commonly had on Heligoland.

Kairi watches where Aymeric's gaze goes, to the adult who is speaking about the daughter... and then she gasps visibly, her hands going up to her mouth. Were she not concealed slightly by the Far Shore powers, the rest of the people around her might have noticed and alerted their prey.

Perched on the back of the parent in question, a very tiny ayakashi clings to the shirt. It looks like a snake body, long and lean, that can cling to the belt and loops of the parent's pants. However, it also has more of a... not snake-like top to it that confuses Kairi as much as it disgusts her. It seems to be part bird and part human, or maybe it's just the way the shifting blighted 'skin' of the ayakashi appears. Still, it turns to her and hisses.

In her shock, Kairi unleashes another cut with a soft "BORDERLINE!" but makes sure that it's the special kind - the 'only cut what you want' kind, so that it just affects the ayakashi. It does manage to snip the creature from the human's clothes, but then it falls to the ground and starts to zoom off.

All she can do is point and run after it, the long way around, hoping maybe Aymeric and Goten will get to it first. She can't Rend it, after all, so all she did was stun it a little.

"For the love of the Fury-!" He hates when he's right about the matters that involve despair and misfortune. Of course it wasn't going to be so easy to catch but that just makes Aymeric sprint off to try and catch it at the pass. There's so much metal around that it would be easy to use them as projectiles but there's a sliiiight problem with that idea: using his power in public and suddenly showing up to a group of people on the NEAR SHORE is more than likely gonna cause a panic.

So he does the next best thing: Provoke it and get it away from the market. The idea is to try and not cause a big stir.

"Come after a opponent who can give you a challenge!" he calls out.

It's so fast! But not fast enough that Goten can't keep track of it. He may not be able to catch it, but he can keep it in his sights. Maybe he should have brought a pair of gloves after all. Patting his poor ignored stomach once more, he dashes after Aymeric and Kairi.

Naturally Kairi is already kicking things off with her borderlines! But this time, even when it cuts into the ayakashi, the creature is still speeding off. He blinks a bit, rubbing his eyes before looking at the creature again. Is he seeing things or did the naga just get slightly bigger?

Lifting his hands up, he rubs at his eyes before kicking off the ground and flying after the ayakashi. Luckily it seems that Aymeric's provoke is working. The small, but slightly bigger, creature is chasing after his god and out of the market.

"Aymeric, be careful!" He calls down, right hand glowing with ki.

Kairi loops around until she's near the people - standing between them and the Naga. In all of the chaos of trying to target Aymeric, Kairi puts up the wall form of the borderline in front of her with a quick push of her hand. The light blue glows against her face and in an attempt to scurry around the god and shinki's feet, the Ayakashi ends up running straight for Kairi's borderline...!!

And it impacts with the wall, not nearly hard enough for Kairi's line to break. So why would it... but then it starts to grow larger again as it thrums with the shocking energy, hurtling itself towards Aymeric in an almost immolation-like attack, hissing at the god as it goes.

"Is it getting larger?!"

Because that tiny ayakashi is no longer that as it keeps heading straight towards Aymeric. It's good that they're a good distance away from civilians as he turns towards the creature with dominant hand raised towards Goten.

"Enough of this. Time to ensure that you do no more harm to these people! Come, Chinki!"

The ayakashi is a lot bigger then it originally was. It practically uses Kairi's boarderline to bounce towards the god, he's never seen an ayakashi do that.

Goten tenses as the ayakashi hurls straight for Aymeric. "Aymeric!" He dashes after it. He thrusts his hand forward, tossing the small blast of energy in the ayakashi's path in an attempt to slow it down and reach his god first. Just as the ki leaves Goten's hand, he hears his vessel name called. That familiar almost blinding light envelopes Goten and lunches for Aymeric's raised hand. The moment the light collides, sparking blue energy over takes Aymeric's hand quickly and extends into a sword shape.
Not wanting to waste time or be too late, the energy isn't extended as long as it was prior. A short sword to try making it easier and hopefully quicker for Aymeric to react to the ayakashi barreling towards him.

"Be careful, Goten! Aymeric!" Kairi calls out, since she's pretty sure that he can hear her even while he's shifting into vessel form. In it, yes, but shifting into it might be a whole other issue... if nothing else, Aymeric can hear her just fine. "I think you should just try to Rend it!" Based on the current evidence.

The people around them are starting to get nervous, but it's almost like they think the blue light is rain, because they start holding up their umbrellas or going for shelter in a very casual way - not the way one would run away from a monster, thankfully. It's possible they think Goten and Kairi were just playing catch.

Either way, she's glad to keep an eye over her shoulder between the innocent Heligoland residents at the Farmer's Market and the ayakashi that Goten and Aymeric are trying to defeat.

Yeah, Aymeric's not going to do any fancy moves other than bum rush it (he does not recommend it unless it's very dire) and thankfully the Goten Sword is short enough for a bit of close range combat. Hells, it's not even going to be that for very long.

"You who desecrate this land of the Rising Sun. With my Advent, I,Forseti lay waste with Chinki and expel thy vast defilement! REND!"

He's definitely strikes the ayakashi but as to how the impact is...hopefully it's not so bad with a group of people nearby and not just a few kids.

'REND!'

Goten shouts the word with Aymeric, the sword becoming a brighter and stronger hue as it easily slicing through the creature. Between the force of Ayermic's strike and the ayakashi crashing into them, the impact may send Aymeric back if his stance isn't strong. Regardless the strike isn't something the ayakashi can stand up against and it falls before exploding into particles of light.

A well-oiled team by this point. It feels nice, watching them work together as well as she and Roxas do. It doesn't seem as common as she'd wish for as many friends as she has. The tiny beastie may have had some other kind of defense against getting poked and prodded by less experienced shinki or gods, but a Rend still seems to do the trick.

Once the light particles start to fade, only then does she let down the barrier and head back over towards the boys, looking over her shoulder to make sure the townsfolk will be able to get back to the farmer's market soon enough. "I'm so happy that the Great Forseti and his devoted Shinki were here to help these people, aren't you?" Griiiin. She's so proud.
