Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:

Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.

Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:

The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.

Prayer #35:

Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!

Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:

With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it down ~~AND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAM~~ and ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!

Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:

Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

We gotta cover that hole somehow then if more and more are gonna keep coming out. No one thinks about ayakashi being around here...this is really bad...

[It's one thing to be on the Near shore and run into ayakashi. It's expected to happen. But here on the Far shore....Goten didn't think ayakashi had away of getting here. The pillar of light apparently can do it though. He looks back to Kairi, clenching his hands into small fists]

We can't just float here, gotta do something, Kairi. Call Aymeric. I don't want anyone else need an ablution.

[Oh he'll never forget what an ablution is after seeing it in person. Just thinking about it makes him nervous.]

[She nods.]

On it.

[At this rate Roxas, Sora, and Aymeric are going to wind up on speed dial - in that order. Regardless, she gives him a call and tries not to sound too distressed. Probably not working out so well though. She decides to put him on speaker phone so Goten can hear and talk to him too, though: ]

Hey, Aymeric? It's Kairi and Goten. We were out training when - I know this sounds impossible - we found some kind of... hole in the Far Shore by the Soulless Shinki temple. It has ayakashi crawling out of it. Please teleport here quickly.

[When the phone clicks on, there isn't really any sound that comes out but Aymeric did indeed hear Kairi. Because a slight sound and the crunching of grass near them was the sign that someone came out. Even with a sword just in case.

Look, he knows Goten must be tired from earlier so this is just a precaution. Hi kids, you did say to teleport quickly.]

You two are just finding everything today. How bad is this hole and ayakashi?

We were practicing Umbra when we overhead some shinki talking about this... but we're really far away from it! I'll send you the picture I took--

[Because at this point she's not sure she can orient the video correctly. But she does see more than hear him teleporting in, because they're up kind of high. Kairi motions for Goten to follow her and they both descend to ground level.]

It's not that big yet... just something the size of a lizard crawling out of it. But it feels really big, like there's some bigger ayakashi underneath this hole.

Aymeric!

[Goten practically zooms past Kairi to greet his god]

You got here super fast!

[He grins despite it all. But as Kairi explains things he settles down more, looking up at Aymeric eagerly.]

Ayakashi getting here are really bad, we gotta do something, Aymeric. It does feel like there could be a bigger one to, but we donno what to do about that hole.

[Yikes, that's not good. Not good at all. The only time he's heard of an ayakashi getting in was due to a shinki turning into one. That's something he doesn't want happening.]

Is it possible that the larger ayakashi is the reason the portal is open and smaller ones may be sent out as scouts? If that is true, we do not have time to waste.

[While they're discussing matters, the ayakashi puts its snout in the air and sniffs. Now that the two shinki are closer to the ground, it can smell them. And they are much closer than the Soulless Shinki temple. Time for a snack before dinner.

It slithers in their direction, leaving a trail of blight behind it much like the one Kairi and Goten followed to get here.]

So there's more than one that's able to attack shinki like the girl we had to get an Ablution for--

[But Kairi's cut off by the sound of the ayakashi heading towards them and shifts with Nimbus between her boys and the creature.]

It's rude to interrupt!

BORDERLINE!

[And the bright blue wall appears, giving Aymeric and Goten a few more moments to decide what to do.]

[They've been found! Goten naturally steps closer to Aymeric, be it to protect him or vice versa. At least Kairi has a handle on things with her borderline. He's not surprised at all by that, she's amazing. He glances up to Aymeric.]

Let's stop it here then before it goes after anyone else.

[As much as Goten loves fighting, he's actually not looking all that forward to this but they need to take care of this ayakashi before it hurts Kairi or goes after other innocent gods or shinki. Even if it's been a long day, Goten can do it if Aymeric can!]

[EXCUSE YOU ASSHOLE AYAKASHI, THEY WERE DOING SOMETHING! Just as he unsheathes the metal sword, Aymeric lifts it up and lets it fly towards the beast. Where is the target? The head naturally! While it'll either piss it off or distract it, it's better to try to kill it quick.]

Right. I rather not think of any causalities except for the one that should not be here. Come, Chinki!

[Man, he may need a nap after this.]

[At the sound of the borderline appearing, the ayakashi actually rears back and starts hissing low noises. It appears this one is intelligent enough not to go slamming its head into the protective wall.

However, it does turn away to look in the direction of the Soulless Shinki temple. If it can't get around the wall, best to move on. So it starts slithering at top speed in that direction, wriggling along the ground and screeching about how good everything smells.

There's a Soulless shinki sweeping the walkway approach, alone and separated from its fellows. The ayakashi leaps up like breaching the ocean to hopefully descend down on its hapless target.]

[Goten blinks, his eyes widening at the sight of the ayakashi stopping. Why didn't it crash into the borderline? Every ayakashi he'd seen thus far had. Why was this one different? It even seemed to lose interest in them. He doesn't get it--- it's heading for that shinki temple!

Goten starts to follow his urge to fly after the creature, but its then he hears his vessel name called. That familiar flash of light evolves his body and shoots right for Aymeric's dominate hand before flaring to life and extending into a blade.]

'Aymeric! We gotta stop it! It's going to the shinki temple!'

Don't worry, we have this.

[He runs quickly, seeing the ayakashi and its target, yells to the shinki.]

Take cover! As for you, [Gesturing to the ayakashi in a good Provoke] come over here!

[The shinki does start running when commanded, but the ayakashi is still likely to get a claw swipe on the Soulless. So Kairi lies flat on Nimbus and urges it to go flying forward at a brisk pace, reaching with both hands to grab the shinki's clothes and drag them - sorry - towards the nearest holy water well. She remembers where it is from the time that the Ablution had to happen.]

BORDERLINE!

[She manages to get that re-cast between herself and the ayakashi, which also protects the Soulless. Then she's immediately going for some water cupped in her hands to toss on the Soulless as fast as she can.]

[Sure enough, the lizard-like ayakashi does get a claw through the side of a sleeve and a deep gouge into the arm, blighting that area significantly.

However, as it lands, the ayakashi turns on Aymeric due to his ability.]

N͢EW͟ ̴͏SM̢̧E̕͜L͞L!̷͜ ̴̨S̵̵͞M̛̀E͞LL̶̷͝S͢͡ ̛G͞͡O҉O̡̢D ͘Ń̢͏E̢W͏͏ ̸S҉M͘E̡LĻ̀!̴̸

[It slithers through the grass and tries to circle its long body around him, wrapping itself constrictor-style around Aymeric - and Goten.]

[With Kairi tending to the injured shinki and Ayermic provoking the thing so it's attention is on them, now it's getting too close to them. He can't let Aymeric get hurt.]

'Look out!'

[Tensing, the blade flares up with more power. Goten doesn't wait for Aymeric to swing, instead four blasts of energy shoot out from the vessel. It's similar looking to Goten's own Ki blasts but more in the like slices of energy then anything. He's trying to keep the ayakashi from coiling around them but he can't keep that going for long. Four is all he can do for now and its evident by the depleting glow and length of the blade that Goten is wearing out.]

[It's only a second but seeing those blasts makes the godling snap back. He had no idea Goten could do that but by how the blade looks, it doesn't look like he can do it again. But the beast doesn't look like it can be taken out so quick with a Rend.

Now Aymeric hates to fight in such a manner but there are innocent lives at stake.]

Worry not Goten, this will not be where we perish.

[With his other hand raised, a slight singing noise came around. You know, the kind of noise when there's flying metal? Well, the sword he did bring with him started twirling around and attempted to slash at the creature. With one sword at work, Aymeric starts his own assault with all his attacks. Circle of Scorn with its pillars of light and multiple slash ability should try to keep the ayakashi focused on him to his typical slashing attacks and including Rage of Halone which hopefully will lower its strength for 20 seconds. Hopefully.

He's putting all of his strength in each attack, hoping at least a dent can be made.]

There they go.

[Kairi's voice is optimistic now, from behind the shield she's put up. She looks back to the Soulless shinki and smiles.]

That's the kind of god you want to have, just like mine. I hope you'll get someone like him one day.

[And she keeps pouring some holy water over the arm wound. This person's taller than her, so it's best that they're kneeling and Kairi's leaning over just slightly after dismounting Nimbus.]

We should say thank you when this is over.

[The attacks are all slashing types, so the net effect is chunks of the ayakashi getting split off one by one like slicing a long line of meat. Eventually, the ayakashi is left in a state of only four legs and a wide mouth as it attempted to ensnare its victims.

The net result is an ayakashi not long enough to squeeze the god-shinki pair to death, but it does spread its mouth wider and wider, trying to devour the pair whole.]

[That seems like a dumb mistake because Aymeric sees it as an opening and rushes towards the gaping mouth with Goten sword gripped in both hands.]

You who desecrate this land of the Rising Sun. With my Advent, I, Forseti lay waste with Chinki and expel thy vast defilement! REND!

[And guess where he's aiming that spell: right in that big gaping mouth. It's certainly going to eat something alright, just not what it was expecting to.]

[It's a good thing Goten trusts and has full faith in Aymeric because there's something just not right about rushing towards a big gaping mouth. But Goten doesn't hesitant. The energy blade flares with new found life for one last attack as Goten pushes the rest of his energy into it.]

'REND!'

[In the mouth they go, slashing through they are. Once Rend is complete the 'Goten Sword' is becoming the 'Goten Dagger' ]

[To Kairi's surprise, the Soulless shinki gets up and presses both hands against their side of the Borderline. Kairi thinks that there's some kind of awe in the other shinki's eyes, or maybe they're just waiting to see how the battle plays out. Maybe they've never seen an ayakashi this close before. Kairi has, often; being a pair of gloves demands that Roxas get her very close to the ayakashi.

But a combat like this, watching Aymeric and Goten fend off an ayakashi that is clearly so desperate to retain its form... that's definitely like what she saw before, when she and Roxas and Sora found the ayakashi that day.

Still, she gets up and stands next to the Soulless shinki, holding their hand. It'll be over soon.]

[It's not unlike flaying an eel down the center. The ayakashi's thin body is sliced in two by the God and Shinki's combined Rend spell, as the creature's blight splashes all over Aymeric and the Goten Dagger.

But it is gone, purged from the Far Shore.

Now all that remains is the Vent it crawled out of - and the Soulless shinki watching all of this. The shinki walks over to Aymeric and looks him square in the eyes, before taking the sleeve made wet with holy water and rubbing it across his face to clean the blight off. Someone's not going to be staying at the Soulless Shinki temple any more.]

[Ok yeah, he shouldn't have done that because the blight is stinging his face. He'll go find some holy water, or he would have if he wasn't greeted by a wet sleeve to the face. It startles Aymeric but he can feel the blight weaken with each wipe. This shinki is rather kind...]

My thanks. How are you feeling?

[The shinki woman doesn't respond in words but simply nods and smiles. Seeing this man and his shinki fight together makes her feel something. Maybe she can help this god like he did with her.]

We still have that hole open but no knowledge on how to close it. Mayhap one of the natives of this realm may have an idea.

'Maybe....but at least the big one is gone.'

[Goten sighs a bit. The ayakashi has been taken care of. Kairi and Aymeric are okay. It seems like Aymeric even made a new friend so that's good. Goten isn't sure what to do about the vent but everything seems okay for the moment. The blue glowing energy that forms the blade withdraws into itself, just coating Aymeric's hand and wrist for the moment. It may feel to the god as a resting form or almost 'stand by' like mode. Goten hasn't been in vessel form or rend this much before. New record.]
