I just wanted to make sure you didn't think it was way too crowded for you.

[ Because he's fine just where he is, really... he just wanted to make sure his company was fine with it too.

So clearly, they were both thinking of their guest. Eno goes back to staring out though before he speaks, the smallest smile on his lips as he continues to look off. ]

Yeah... this is a pretty amazing view, huh?

[ And he does glance over his shoulder briefly with the smallest smile. ]

The view's definitely pretty good from where I'm standing.

[ Demyx shakes his head almost vigorously. Close contact with other people -- even strangers -- doesn't bother him whatsoever, for some reason. He's more than willing to endure for the right view. Apparently Eno is, too; except... ]

Huh? But you're looking at--...

[ ...oh. A little late to the party as usual, but Demyx gets it now. (Or so he thinks, at least.) That means he... likes looking at him? Wow... it's like out of nowhere, a whole swarm of butterflies started circling around in his belly, tickling him with a pleasant nervousness that, honestly? He's totally comfortable with. He likes Eno; has liked him for a bit now. Maybe... Eno likes him too?

Only one way to find out.

Granted, the Nobody isn't terribly well-versed in "putting moves" on anyone, so this whole damn thing could come out horribly awkward. Still, he steps forward to bring the two of them closer together, a silly, slightly bashful expression on his face; perhaps a faint pinch of color, too. And with steady focus from blue-green eyes, he answers, subtly: ] Mine too.

[ With that, he'll reach for a hand tentatively, seeking to lace fingers. ]

[ Clearly he's been hanging out with Bandou a bit too much that the pickup lines are actually starting to rub off him. To be perfectly honest, he didn't think that was going to work or it would end up making him sound ridiculous but bugger him backwards, it actually worked.

There's an evident look of surprise though as he feels that hand brushing against his and he turns his own to press against Demyx's. Cheeks are definitely burning from both the contact and the compliment tossed right back at him.

So much for wading into water. This is as close to diving right in as he can get. ]

That was... pretty forward, huh...?

Forward? No way!

[ In other words, yeah it worked, albeit barely. Demyx nearly missed a comment so subtle. Blame it on inexperience; on having exactly zero working knowledge of romance, relationships – the lot of it. Most especially pick-up lines like that one.

Which completely explains why Eno gets this blunt reply: ]

I like you. [ Simply that, in the most topical application of the words – he likes Eno. Likes his company, likes talking to him, (and of course, the aesthetics are a complete yes, if that was ever a question). ] So it’s totally not forward!

[ That silly smile grows as he squeezes Eno’s hand just a little. It’s weird, being compelled to do something like this, but it feels startlingly nice. Almost natural. Even for being a first, it's pretty awesome. ]

[ It's weird, yeah. Like he's being compelled to do it, like he feels comfy enough to actually be holding hands with another guy. Were he off the bridge, maybe he wouldn't but there's something in the air that seems to make him feel a little bolder.

Demyx's positive reaction certainly is helping to boost his confidence that he's doing the right thing, too.

But he does stare a bit when he hears that bit. ]

Wait... you... you like me?

[ His cheeks are burning again even as he steps closer, his fingers still linked with the other shinki's. ]

I... I mean I'm glad you don't think it's too forward but... I... didn't think you liked me enough to think it wasn't?

[ Eno you're not making sense. ]

[ That stare earns one in reply, albeit with a couple blinks mixed in. ]

Yeah! Of course I like you! I wouldn't be holding your hand and stuff if I didn't, right? [ He's about to make himself blush as well by admitting that. But, it's the truth.

And that's how easy it can be, when you're Demyx. Of course, he has no idea of the ramifications of saying as much, certainly no 'next steps' planned; but perhaps that only serves to make this all more innocent. They'll figure the rest out as they go -- together, if that's what Eno decides he wants. It can all happen organically. ~~Read: It'll be a lovely disaster.~~

The last comment has the Nobody running it back a couple of times in his head, and perhaps Eno can watch the wheels turn for a moment. Finally, he pauses, only to arrive late, and on a completely different train of thought. ]

So... does this mean you like me, too?

I guess you wouldn't be, huh...?

[ There's a sheepish little grin as he rubs the back of his head with his free hand. But there's the million yen question. His hand shifts slightly as he looks directly at the other man. The gears in his own head are whirring.

His own experience with dating is... minimal, to say the least. He and Bandou are more of a mutual attraction no strings attached-- Bandou. There's someone he has to talk to. But first things first.

He figures things are gonna be different with Demyx though. He's pretty cute after all... and a nice guy to hang around. Definitely more outgoing but that might be a good thing too. ]

Yeah... I think I like you back...

You do?! [ He sounds disbelieving, but he's really just surprised.

Really, really surprised.

Things will be different now, all right -- for better or worse. (Probably both.) Having exactly zero romantic experience to rely on in this venture, he’ll likely fumble through it. A lot. But at least Demyx is well-meaning through his folly.

If nothing else, one could say his heart is in the right place.

Or, it would be. Right now he’s pretty sure it’s in... his throat, maybe? Somewhere around there. And man, his face sure feels hot all of a sudden! The tips of his ears are burning, even. What a rush! Eno likes him! Is this even real life?!

Breathe, Demyx. Remember to breathe. He settles his hand against Eno’s and does just that, even if his face is lit up like a summer sky full of fireworks. ]

So... what now?

[ Do they hug? He kinda wants to hug him. ]
