After receiving the request from Orihime, Lavi’s decided that there are some people he believed would be able to help him make this task just a little easier. So, it isn’t hard at all for him to send them a simple text:

Hope you guys aren’t busy, but I’m hoping you’d guys be able to help me out with researching for acid-proof materials.

So any materials that can be mended into clothes.

Mended? So patched onto something that already exists? Huh, alright...

[Yoon wanders off with that information and eventually comes back with something that isn't... acid-proof, but it's magical clothing.]

What about something like this? A coat of many colors? There's a bunch of different stories about it... some books, some theater plays, and even a song or two. Maybe one of the versions or one of the patches is acid-proof.

[Since hey these are just stories as far as he's concerned. Folklore is wildly different.]

[Lavi blinks as he regards what Yoon found.

Coat of many colors, huh?

He cups his chin in thought.]

That should work. That's the coat that the guy named Joseph received, isn't it?

That's what the stories say.

[But Lavi doesn't look too convinced.]

I know it doesn't say anything about acid. Should I try again?

[He shakes his head.]

No, you're good. [He looks over it.] Magical properties can certainly help against acid even if it doesn't say anything about it.

[He cups his chin in thought.] Sorry if I looked skeptical, though.

Oh I don't mind.

[He sniffs and rubs his nose a bit.]

I just don't want you to think I'm skipping out! And not taking this seriously.

[One more huff.]

Give the word and I'll go look again.

[Lavi looks at him bemused.

Yoon...really doesn't leave any stone unturned, does he?

He holds back a chuckle.]

Alright, alright. Let's keep looking for more then.

Yes!

[Okay he might just be eager to keep researching. It's his pleasure and he's excited to help someone who will appreciate him for it, genius that he is.]

Something specific to acid this time, got it!

[And whether Lavi's coming or not, he's going to look again.]

[Yoon's reaction gets Lavi to chuckle, but he doesn't hesitate to follow.

Or at least, look around.

After all, they'll be able to find something.]

Well this looks interesting...

[He finds something about black dragon scales.]

This dragon supposedly breathes acid. That sounds kinda weird, but... if you make armor out of its scales, it's supposed to be more acid resistant?

Black dragon scales, huh?

[Lavi goes over, peering at it.]

But in a way, it does make sense. At least if it becomes armor, it won't immediately melt down if acid touches it.

Right, exactly what I was thinking.

[He holds the book up and then offers it to Lavi.]

Do you need to take notes on it? Or should I put it back now that you have that idea?

I'll take some quick notes on it first.

[Ah, let him quickly find some of the notebook paper he's been using.]
