Who: Nanako and anyone inclined to be out exploring or who might notice a new mountain looming in the Far Shore.

Where: Nanshe's newly-discovered Temple
What: Nanako has discovered she has god powers after all! Now it's led her to finally discovering she has a temple here and it gives her the perfect place to try out some of the new things she can do.

A; To Find Shelter

[ It's been a little over a week since Nanako had discovered that she did indeed have a god power of her very own. Even if it had taken her awhile to get the hang of it. It was still taking her a while to get the hang of it, but today she's taken a break from practicing in the backyard of Souji's temple to go investigate something for herself.

Because she's felt a pull that's been growing stronger over the past few days, insistent and niggling and new. Since it hadn't faded or gone away, she'd decided this morning to follow it and see what she found.

Which is how she ends up at the base of a mountain not that long a walk away from Souji's temple. A mountain which she's very sure she's never seen before. She thinks? But there's a walled gate around its base that feels vaguely familiar to her, even if she doesn't know why. The gate stands wide open and welcoming, however, so she proceeds inside, heading up a long stone staircase to the shrine she finds at the top, brightly colored with banners waving and surrounded by a hillside full of blooming azalea bushes. The shrine itself is set beside a huge lake full of fat and lazy fish swimming within its depths.

And the more she explores of this place, the more certain she is - she's finally found Nanshe's temple. Her temple. Delighted, she starts poking into every inch of the shrine she can find, exploring all over it and seeing everything hidden within this new place. Eventually, she'll go looking for her brother and Homura, wanting to share with them her newest discovery, but if anyone else happens by in the meantime, she might excitedly show them around as well. ]

B; To Rise

[ The discovery of her very own temple means one thing for certain - it's given her a wide open space to keep practicing her new abilities. And since she now knows how to look for that tiny flicker of power that seems to blossom brighter each time she uses it, it's easy to flit back and forth between normal and the form her god power seems to give her - that of a halo and tiny wings and a bright cheerful glow that surrounds her every time it manifests.

She hasn't figured out yet if her power will allow her to fight evil spirits any better - especially when she doesn't know how to fight in the first place. But there are other uses to this power she's learning about. Like the fact that the tiny feathered wings on her back actually work, and as long as she can keep her focus steady, she can even manage to float for increasingly longer periods of time.

So of course this is what she's practicing, once she finds her own private mountaintop filled with colorful flowers, trees, and banners. Although it's with dubious success at first, she's determined to get better at it.

So, throughout various points of the day - and possibly the next few days - there's a tiny girl with angel wings floating, bobbing, and sometimes zooming around her shrine and occasionally even venturing outside her temple to see how far she can fly and how long she can manage it. Sorry, friends, her control isn't all that great yet... ]

[Yeah, seeing that initial surprise from Nanako confirms Naoto's earlier suspicions that calling out to her while the girl was flying around would have been a bad idea. Naoto blushes slightly at being called "oneechan." Nanako-chan's very sweet, but Naoto's not sure she's done enough yet to earn that honorific.]

I followed you from Souji-san's shrine. You've been venturing out on your own recently, so I wanted to make sure you were staying safe. I should have guessed that you were visiting your temple this whole time.

I just found it!

[ Since Naoto had missed the weeks of distress while Nanako struggled to figure out if she even had a temple or a god power. ]

Isn't it pretty?!

I see. It's no wonder that you've been disappearing off your own then. You must have been excited to explore it more.

[Naoto's calmed down now from her earlier start of seeing Nanako sailing through the skies over her head. She smiles gently as she surveys more of the flowers and plant-life that surrounds the two of them. She takes a deep breath, enjoying the slight breeze.]

It's beautiful. It feels so peaceful here, too.

Yeah! That and I wanted to practice. There's lots of room here for it.

[ She smiles in pleasure when Naoto compliments her new temple, glancing around it. ]

I like it. Nanshe made lots of homes for people who didn't have any, and looked for people who got lost. I guess it makes sense that it's so big and pretty. You'd need a lot of room for that.

["Nanshe..." That's right, Nanako hadn't yet told Naoto the name of the god she's currently filling in for. Though it wasn't like the name had any special significance to Naoto now that she knows it.]

Souji-san's temple is a bit more confined than this one, isn't it?

[It's true that a more open space would be best for testing out such powers, but Naoto's still a little unsure about the overall level of safety here.]

Um, Nanako-chan? You wouldn't happen to own any protective padding would you? Like perhaps a helmet?

A helmet?

[ She peers up at Naoto curiously. ]

No? I don't think so... Would it fit over my halo?

[ #angelproblems. ]

[Naoto studies the halo for a moment. She'd noticed it earlier, but it was now clear that her brain hadn't quite fully registered its presence apparently.]

Perhaps it could fit under?

[Without closer inspection, it was a little hard to tell exactly how much space there was between the top of Nanako's head and the halo.]

Um, Nanako-chan? Would it be alright if I--

[Naoto makes a gesture signalling she'd like to try to touch the halo.]

Hmm? [ She stops peering cross-eyed at it to glance at Naoto instead. ] Oh! Okay. Just don't pull it. It feels weird if you do.

[ Chikusa might have already tried to steal it. ]

["It feels weird?" Had Nanako already tried removing it on her own? In that case, Naoto reaches out and only delicately touches the rim of the halo with a finger. She looks down at Nanako.]

Can you feel that?

[ Nanako has returned to peering cross-eyed upwards again but she giggles and shakes her head at the question. ]

No, I don't think so.

[Naoto puts her whole hand on the halo now, not gripping it but instead just letting her open hand rest on it. The halo felt warm to the touch, and it was clearly solid as Naoto could feel it against her palm. After a moment, she removes her hand.]

Um, have you tried putting something on under it? Like a cap for instance?

[Yes, Naoto is still trying to figure out how she can strap a bicycle helmet on this flying child.]

Ummm.... Just my ribbons. But I don't think they count?

[ That would be a no, Naoto. ]

[Naoto considers this for a moment. After a pause, Naoto steps back, pulling her hand away from the halo. Her hand now slowly reaches up and takes off her hat. She looks at it for a moment, and then offers it to Nanako as her face turns a soft shade of pink.]

You can try putting my hat on underneath it if you'd like, Nanako-chan?

[ Nanako's eyes go wide as she looks from Naoto to her hat and then back again. ]

Really? Can I?

[Naoto's normally rather reluctant to ever be without her hat... but in this case, she's willing to make an exception. The look on Nanako's face certainly further encouraging her to let the little girl try it on. Naoto smiles back, more easily this time and with less of an embarrassed shading of pink coloring her expression.]

Of course. It might be a little too big on you, but you are more than welcome to try it on.

I wanna try! [ Nanako looks delighted at the possibility. Carefully, she reaches out for the hat before peering up at her halo again. ] Can you help?

[Ah, and this was the part Naoto was worried about. If Nanako herself was unsure of if she'd be able to put it on under her halo... well, between the two of them, they can probably figure this out, right? Maybe?]

Oh, sure.

[Naoto eyes her hat then the halo for a moment.]

Um, do you think you can lift it up slightly? Or is it... stuck?
