You're like 90% of my self-control
Who: Hibari and You
When: July 13th, after Hakkai's disappearence
Where: The Far Shore
What: An almost mingle-post for anyone involved in Hibari's quest for destruction.
Warnings: Violence and Hibari. Fires.
It was only a few hours after Hakkai had disappeared, and the rage hadn't abated. The heavens were always having the last laugh, after all. Hibari at this point did not care about the consequences to himself any longer; the only thing came to his mind was vengeance and destruction. And he was very good at both.
For the proceeding hours until he ended up at Izumo's bar, a shadowy figure would be seen running around the Far Shore, setting large fires in his wake to burn any vegetation that happened to get in the way. If the smoke and flames didn't catch anyone's notice, then perhaps the sudden destruction of some temples would.
OOC: This is the place to go if you want to thread with Hibari during his violent quest, or just thread out the effects of his rampage in general. Anyone is allowed to tag in and around to offer their assistance.
~A~ Temple Run
Several temples volunteered in here are getting some new renovations to their place. They might need help cleaning up some of the rubble or healing, and maybe some of the owners aren't exactly happy their place is being destroyed.
~B~ Fire
There's fire all over the place; even if it isn't close to your temple, it wouldn't be too hard to see the smoke. Thankfully, it's only trailing in Hibari's path, but some effort needs to be put in to stop it from spreading and endangering more areas.
~C~ Direct Conflict
Some people have noticed Hibari before he got to his final destination; and the teenager isn't exactly happy about that. This option is reserved to those who have directly stated they want to fight or attempt to stop him physically.
ooc note: the final events of his rampage will be taking place at Izumo's bar, on his open thread.
~D~ Something Else?

[For all the wrong reasons.]
[The owl comes back to settle onto Chikusa's shoulder; it doesn't matter if Shun didn't react much. All it needs to do is preen for itself, fluffed up in satisfaction. Yes, it's amazing, thank you. Chikusa ignores it as well, because he's gotten far too used to its sense of pride.]
...I couldn't do this until recently... And it might not even be me. So keep that in mind if you actually make one.
no subject
As much as Shun is fond of birds, the owl is a bit pompous for his tastes, so he gives it somewhat of a dead-eyed stare before returning his attention to Chikusa.]
It's still something you have access to, so it counts. That thing looks too impressed with itself to listen to anyone else.
no subject
[At least being called out by two different people twice in a row makes the thing stop, a certain grumpiness about it as it nips at Chikusa's ear. Pity he keeps ignoring it.]
no subject
How long has this been going on? He must have been at it for a while with a trail this long.
no subject
More than an hour.... Probably. If he keeps at it, then even the Heavens will have to start actually paying attention instead of ignoring us like they prefer to...
no subject
The ones it'll draw attention from are probably the ones who already have their eyes on us anyway. Though I can't say whoever's doing this doesn't deserve the wrath of an actual god for it.
no subject
[That's a nice dream, isn't it? Chikusa likes it. He's pessimistic that it'll happen, but he likes it.]
...What gods pay attention to the newcomers?
no subject
Bishamon, mostly, but Suijin isn't bad either. Amaterasu tries, she just doesn't have any idea what she's doing. [He might be sympathetic to the little god's plight, but that doesn't mean he's not going to point that fact out.]
no subject
[Chikusa hadn't really met her, personally, but he'd noted her name.]
no subject
[While Shun still doesn't quite trust her given how reserved she tends to be about her own motivations, he still considers her reasonable as the older gods go.]
no subject
[Color him surprised.]
no subject
[Including the other two advisors, as far as he can tell.]
no subject
[Enough that the world might be better off without them, but he holds back on saying that aloud right now.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, slapping some sense into the worse older gods kind of comes behind dealing with the more prominent problems here.]
no subject
[He's referring to what happened to Amaterasu's temple, of course, although he doesn't explain that. He only nudges Mukurou off of his shoulder to another spot of fire, although it's not as big as some of the ones before.]
no subject
While he eyes up the fire himself, ready to jump in if it seems likely to need more effort to get rid of, he figures the owl can probably handle one that small.]
no subject
Anyone back in Greece couldn't remember the figures who put up the fliers. So they're prepared, which is more than I can say for any of us...
no subject
[That's pretty much a generic description of shadiness, and doesn't give them any more specifics on where this might be coming from.]
no subject
[That kind of old-fashioned thing, really... Everyone knows if you want to not stand out, you dress in completely normal and uninspiring outfits with no facepaint.]
Did you hear if there were any particular patterns or colors used for the paint...?
no subject
They could be, but it's not an uncommon idea. People still do it. [He'd probably agree with the blending in through normal outfits method working better, but still.]
Nobody mentioned anything specific. Just that it was hiding their faces.
no subject
....People do that in your world, then...?
[
Yugioh world is a trip.]no subject
[At least he admits it's impractical for not drawing attention, given Yuto is one of the people who did it back home.]
no subject
[After all, he's curious in his own way about whoever is opposing Amaterasu. Is it something meaningful, or is it simply a powergrab that started it all? Is it personal, or is Amaterasu merely a convenient target that represents all of the Heavens and not just the local gods?]
But those not part of the Heavens will have to do work on their own if they want to find out anything.... Considering how little we're trusted.
no subject
[While Shun wants a face to put to their enemies, at this point he suspects that whenever they're revealed, it's going to be on their terms. After their lack of concern about what damage their attacks do and to who, Shun's not particularly inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt in any case.]
Given how few of the old gods have even tried to respond to the attacks, they might not have a choice here. People suddenly get a lot more trusting when it's their lives on the line.
no subject
[As far as Chikusa is concerned, it explains a lot- the lack of evidence at Amaterasu's temple, being forgotten so easily by some people, how the fliers were able to get so far...]
[But they don't know enough about the history of this place to guess who would have reason to do this.]
[Pausing at a juncture, he glances to shun.]
...We'll see if they change their minds. In the meantime... I'm going this way to see the damage in this direction.
