The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[She gasps softly when the other girl takes her hands. She just looks so happy, and it makes Natsuru feel really happy and genuinely enthused about this idea too!]

[Yay, friends! Also those sparkling green eyes that make her feel all happy and bubbly and warm inside... yet she still doesn't make the connection to her prince that promised to teach her all about how to become a Real Idol.]

[ She grins the sort of grin dreams are made of. ]

[Ah! There's an unusual recognition in Natsuru's eyes when she smiles back.]

[Has Tinybiki even seen the video evidence of that 'other person' with her name yet?]

[ Alas, no, for if she had, she would not be able to be out and about. Perhaps she should be shown...

Since, as is, she just finds it very weird that there is a Shikyoin Hibiki-sama out there that is not her. She is the only Shikyoin Hibiki-sama she knows. ]

[How could this girl know so much about idols and not know she has the same name as Hibiki-sama?!]

She's a super cool idol, and she's been in movies and everything! Look...!

[Who trusts a five-year-old with a phone that can access video on the network? Maria, apparently, according to Natsuru's memories. And here she's holding out the phone so Hibiki can see the video of her older self performing a totally cool solo song.]

[If Natsuru's crush was embarrassing before, it's even more ridiculous now that it's blatantly obvious puppy love. Well, if it were possible to get more blatantly obvious, that is.]

[ A different kid might point out the person on the screen doesn't look much like a "she", but Hibiki has never cared much about that stuff anyway. She also has no room to throw stones at Natsuru, because the longer she watches, the more her own eyes shine. Her cheeks color with excitement. She's - she's never seen a performance like this before, and she's seen a lot of PriPara TV. This person -

This person makes her heart ache, she's so incredible. It feels like she could watch this forever.

Hibiki makes a grab to try to hold the phone herself so she can get closer, though she'll keep it so that both she and her friend can still see the screen. ] She is, she is!!

[ Natsuru's giddiness is met with equal fervor. ] She's the most beautiful thing ever!!

[ Can they watch it again? She wants to watch it again. Which of these buttons helps them watch it again. ]

[She won't get any argument from Natsuru! Nor does she really stop Hibiki from grabbing her phone, so it kind of ends with the both of them clutching it together and gazing adoringly at the screen.]

She and Maria-neesama are real idols! She even said she'll help teach me to become one someday too.

[Because of course her memories of Hibiki agreeing to train her are different now, but still there.]

You're gonna be an idol??

[ And you're gonna learn from THIS PERSON??? Hibiki is happy to make room so she and Natsuru can keep watching the screen together. (They might end up cheek-to-cheek, though.) ] Same! Let's perform together in PriPara someday!

[ Ah....this other Hibiki is just so wonderful....Hibiki points to her as something occurs to her. If this person is teaching Natsuru how to be an idol, and Natsuru is here... ]

[Ending up cheek-to-cheek just means Hibiki can feel how warm Natsuru's cheeks are. No big deal at all, clearly.]

[She giggles happily, glad to have made a friend and especially one she could perform together with one day!]

[ Hey, Natsuru is cozy and squishy. No complaints here.

If this were any other conversation, Hibiki might have been distracted by the mention of the beach, as small children are wont to do. But! This is a conversation about the other Hibiki, in which she has just learned that the other Hibiki is RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, BREATHING THE SAME AIR. And therefore, only one command will do! ]
