The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[ A little girl with long roll curls is wandering around wearing a dress covered in frills but no shoes on her feet. She looks around in confusion, then spots you walking past. Her eyes light up. ]

Hey - hey!

[ She jogs up to you, heedless of the puddles she just splashed in, so that she now has dirty water all over the hem of her dress, and tries to tug on your own clothing. She points backwards, towards where the turrets of Apollo’s temple can still be seen. ] That castle’s empty. Fix it!

[ The little girl has found boots, but she’s also found a lot more dirt. She’s sitting on this park bench with smudges all over her face, and that face is nearly smushed against the surface of a purple tablet. Her eyes haven’t blinked in like a minute. Her lips are parted, her cheeks lit up by the glow from the screen.

Anyone who looks over her shoulder will discover she’s found this post on the BBS. And when the song stops, she immediately hits the button to replay it.

[ You’ve just been handed an invitation by a grinning little girl. It looks hand-written, complete with little doodled hearts and lots of absolutely gorgeous illustrations. ]

[ The little girl, dressed in an oversized nightshirt and nothing else, tears out of Apollo’s temple like the furies of Hell are after her. And, after a fashion, they are: all around her, the air is filled with illusions of dancing giant apples, pineapples, peaches, strawberries, grapes, and plums, and a disembodied voice echoes all around her:

[Apologies to anyone who happens to be walking around, still remaining the same or has been affected by whatever is going on in the Heavens, there is a tiny redhead with an eye-patch just walking around and looking very much peeved by the fact he has no idea where he is.

But dragging along with him is a tiny goblin that seems to be struggling to keep up with him.

Depending on the time of day: (Morning) the goblin will be seen being dragged with Lavi and more than likely being pushed off to the nearest person, (Noon) the goblin is missing, but Lavi seems to be staring at something in the distance that leads back to the library, (Evening) Lavi is sitting on a bench somewhere, curled up and looking upset.]

[July 17th - Whenever]

[After Lavi finally gains his bearings, he's a bit more active and walking around again.

Although, depending on who's been helping him on the 16th, Lavi could very well be walking with that person. After all, Lavi has the tendency to wander off alone.

Whoever is with him, he blinks once and tugs on the hand of the person who's with him.]

[You know what he did his best, he got some answers that've been plaguing him. He's not sure if he got more questions than answers, but he also knows that he's been aged up... Not that anybody could tell. That baby face is good for something.

The god of time is sensitive enough to this sort of nonsense. And even more so when he's technically one of the causes.]

[He's mostly recovered by now and he should... probably check on the damage he's accedentially caused.]

[ This damage turns out to be a seven-year-old boy that is literally damaged. Equipped with a neck brace, cast and that arm in a tight sling to keep from moving the arm around too much. Of course the hand of that arm has a clear shinki mark on it. ]

No. I'm probably about four times this age.

[ It's hard to know exactly how old he's supposed to be, and really is, but that was a solid enough guess. ]

• [A] July 16th; Afternoon - Adjusting

[Waking up bigger was pretty much most amazing thing to ever happen to Goten. Once he was sure he hadn't been dreaming it was a race to his god's bedroom to show off his now taller body and deeper voice----only to find a much smaller and younger version of Aymeric.

That didn't go so well.

That was early in the morning. Now that it was closer to noon and he's still trying to find the little god. He swore Aymeric went in this direction....maybe? On foot for once, Goten is strolling through the Far Shore passing various temples as he tries to keep an eye out for any sign of Aymeric.]

Aymeric! Where'd you go? C'mon! it's me, Goten! I'm not gonna hurt you!

[He's never going to find him at this rate. But Goten perks at the next person he sees, jogging over quickly.]

Excuse me, hey! Have you seen a little boy running around? Uh, short dark hair and pointy ears. Scared of....everything?


• [B] July 16th; Late Afternoon - Luck

[As Goten's luck would have it, Izumo is destroyed. The one time he can actually stay all day and all night and its closed. It's not even the fact that it's a bar. He's not trying to go to any bar. It's more that it's Izumo's bar. What good is being older if he can't do what he wants?

Izumo had already told him about it. He already knew what happened but there may have been some naive hope that somehow magically maybe it would be fixed by now.

Nope.

With hands stuffed into his pockets, Goten sighs as he looks over the broken remains of the bar. Frowning at the rubble, he kicks one of the roof tiles into the heap clearly pouting over it.]

This sucks....


• [C] July 17th; Morning/Noon - Oops

[Day two of being older is just as exciting as the first. But it's still so weird and Goten is having a hard time controlling his strength. Becoming older apparently came with a either power increase or messed up something because he's broken so many things at Aymeric's temple. Cups, plates...the table. Nothing is safe. But
Aymeric isn't around to see it and he's a kid anyway so...

So Goten sticking closer to the abandon temples and training grounds to get rid of some energy. Anyone passing by may see part of said temple crumbling or a small rogue blasts of blue glowing energy flying by their heads.

[Very early on the morning of the 16th, residents of the temple of Artemis might be woken by a loud crash coming from the kitchen. Anyone who investigates will find a small boy trying to hastily put everything back in cupboard.

He tried to climb up it.

July 16th, Evening, Wherever

[Are you out fighting ayakashi? Or perhaps you got jumped by one and need some help fighting? Never fear, Barry's here! Jumping into the fray, he yells out:]

Carnage... Form!

[That same spectral knight from before briefly appears in front of him, and Barry dashes headlong straight into it. After a bright flash of light, their forms seem to merge, and when the light recedes Barry is wearing the garb of a Greek warrior minus the armor, and wielding a huge two-handed axe.]

C'mon, let's take 'em down together!

July 17, Afternoon, Near Shore - Akihabara

[By the second day, Barry's shifted his focus from fighting ayakashi to writing some new music. Unfortunately, he lacks something important - a guitar. But that won't be a problem. He's found an unexpected source of quick money, you see.]

Man, I dunno what all this magical girl crap was doin' in my room, but I should have plenty of cash after I finish unloadin' it! I bet some of it's even rare!

[ Elfnein is in her temple sorting out books that were left out in the library area. Lately more and more people have been coming in order to study for exams, though things have been off for most of the morning. Piles that were neatly stacked keep falling and items normally out of reach aren’t an issue now.]

The odd feeling that happened last night turned into Elfnein waking up in a completely older body, one that she knew very well as being Carol’s adult form. She didn’t think she’d end up looking like that if she grew up normally, but then again her very existence is quite uncertain after fusing with Carol and becoming human. ]

16th - Midday

[ By midday the issue was less of a what was going on and more of a time to find better clothing. Sure her normal white dress worked to cover things up but in an adult form things were… Well if anyone knew better they’d think she was crazy for not covering up. ]

[ After getting better clothes it was time to get out a little more and see what was really going on with everyone. ]

[Ken isn't totally sure what the space-time continuum is, at least when it isn't... oh, something people get really worried about in movies. And anime, he guesses. He isn't quite sure why the sternest, best-dressed child in the entire universe would have stolen his dad's glasses and then wandered around muttering about it, unless it's some kind of private game.]

[A: July 15th, Closed to Reisi]

[It's been a long time since Shun's felt the assignment of another shinki.

It's a little surprising that there's nothing heralding the newcomers but an actual organised training effort (though he can't help but be satisfied they actually took the suggestion), but he couldn't fail to notice the thick, tense atmosphere when he'd patrolled this morning, and he has to wonder whether that has something to do with it. For now, it doesn't seem like they're getting any kind of clear answer, so once he focuses himself to try and figure out the direcion of his current shinki and ends up feeling pulls from two directions, he sets out to try and find the source of the second.

Identifying them isn't too difficult given the images that break through to the forefront of his mind as soon as he lays eyes on them, so after a brief moment of looking the guy he's come across over, he approaches with a wary, but confident air.]

You. We need to talk.

[i: Morning]

[Waking up a child, remembering nothing, in a temple you don't recognise without your little sister who should definitely be there with you is a bit of an overwhelming experience, but Shun's handling it. Or trying to. The young boy, looking about seven or eight at most, is instantly recognisable by the hair just as bizarrely styled as it is when he's a teenager, and his yellow eyes which are much rounder and softer than anything his normal appearance could approach.

Whether he should normally know you or not, his memories of the people he knows here are gone, so anyone he approaches gets the same small but persistent tug on their clothes and a worried, but polite smile.]

Sorry, but have you seen a little girl with purple hair and pink eyes? I'm supposed to be looking after her, but when I woke up I was here and she was gone...

[ii: Afternoon]

[By this point, Shun's been reassured that Ruri, while perhaps not here, should be safe, so he's more focused on exploring this strange and interesting place he's found himself in. While doing so, though, he's run across a few of the aged-down library goblins, and is trying to help one of them to walk so he can teach all of them at once.

While he tries to support the demonstrating goblin as they wobble forward on an undersized leg, the creature's attempt at walking fails, and when it topples over, Shun goes down with it due to the unpracticed attempt at a supporting hold.]

No, that's not right... [He grumbles a little as he rubs his arm, before noticing someone else nearby and waving.] Hello! Can you help me teach them how to walk? I don't think they know.

[The second flare hits Shun as well, and he could almost be mistaken for returning to his normal form at this point, if it weren't for the details. His eyes are still a little kinder and livelier than they would normally be, and his intimidating bearing is gone as well as any of his usual wariness and awareness about himself. He's also slightly shorter, though it's not really by much, and a bit softer in the face - a few years younger, probably, early teens rather than late. As it is, he's roaming around the Far Shore with a bit of a confused look, mostly trying to find other actual people so he can ask what this even is.

It's so wide, yet so empty...it doesn't feel right. His own home could never have this few people in it and still feel that way.

Once he spots someone, he gives a brief wave and smile as he approaches.] Hi. Are you supposed to be here, or did you just show up out of nowhere? I just showed up and I have no idea what the hell this place is, so I was hoping someone could help out.

[Anyone who would normally know him is free to fall over from shock at that actual mostly politeness.]

[D: Aftermath]



[As an early teen, he still has no idea what's going on when the wave sweeps through the Far Shore once more. But once the last few years of his age return, he realises the tension from earlier in the day is gone - no, it's two days ago, isn't it? The memories of what he'd done in that time hit him full force, and with a frustrated hiss, he holds a hand to his face for a moment.

...He knows several people who are probably never going to let him live that down, but he should probably make sure they're okay before doing everything he can to make them forget what just happened. Probably.

Anyone who approaches him or who he approaches himself stands a chance of getting a brief look up and down as Shun considers how likely it is they're still under the effect if he doesn't know them, or checks them against what he knows of them if he does, before inclining his head slightly as if satisfied.]

So it was that pulse that returned us to normal. [Now let's all pretend it never happened.]

What should be more worrying is the tiny child on top of it, and he's peering down at Shun carefully from where he's perched. He says something to Cobalt Eagle, earning a huff from the Duel Monster before the eagle suddenly comes swooping down and landing beside Shun.]

[This may mark the first time since Dust showed up here that new shinki didn't arrive in the middle of something crazy... but the pressure he feels has him on edge. With nothing else to distract him, the Sen-Mithrarin stalks the streets of the Far Shore, looking for new shinki to offer what help and assistance he can.]

[Those he doesn't recognize, he approaches swiftly and with purposes. To be fair, those he DOES recognize, he also approaches swiftly and with purpose, but they get a quicker and more open greeting.]

16th and 17th

[Wonderful. Just wonderful.]

[Whatever force has ravaged time itself and messed with everyone's ages has left Dust utterly untouched. He doesn't even begin to suspect it's because he has no past and no future -- who would? All he knows is that he's one of the adults left, surrounded by what seems to be dozens of kids.]

[So the two chaotic days have him running frantically around, trying to make sure kids stay out of trouble and don't get in danger. What better time could ayakashi choose to strike? And who's watching them anyway?! Come on, get off the tall thing! Don't go in there, it's off-limits! No, Dust can't cook, but he'll find some food for you! Arrrrgh!]

[One of the first children Dust probably found was in fact his own god. Takumi, now about 7, had seemed to have SOME recollection of his time here at least. Enough to know that Dust was his friend.

[Seeing as Yato had... no idea what was going on until it actually happened, he had absolutely no forewarning before aging down.

And a young Yoboku is more than a little unsettled to find himself wandering around the Far Shore, a place that he's never been before. Rather than attempting to seek help, though, he is lurking around corners and peeking at people from his hiding spots, obviously certain that he is hidden when he is definitely not.]

[Having gained a little confidence after a day of wandering around spying on people, Yaboku will stomp up to whoever he can and promptly tug on their clothes to get their attention.]

[Yaboku is not the only one peeking around corners, though. Soujirou is currently experiencing a semblance of the normal confusion of a newly arrived Shinki, compounded by the fact that he's... well, nine years old. And a very sheltered and isolated nine-year-old at that.

The upshot is that as Yaboku leans around a corner from one side, Soujirou leans around it from the other, and they end up with their faces approximately two inches apart. A pair of hue purple eyes blink in surprise, although Soujirou's expression of intense concentration doesn't change much.]

[It's probably no surprise that Lance is ... starting to get homesick, though. And late on the 17th, before everything changes back, he can be found sitting on the ground somewhere, sniffling softly to himself, and wiping at wet eyes with a muddy hand, further muddying an already very dirty face.]

[ ...Actually, the temple itself is empty, as anyone who goes inside looking for Tatara will find.

Out back, meanwhile, is a little boy of elementary school age -- no older than preteen. He’s giggling and laughing, sounding as though he’s having himself a right proper ball. ]

He doesn’t even notice someone’s shown up until the can he’s kicking rolls into their foot. ]

[ The best part about being a kid again, but with an adult’s money? Being regret-free about making all the wrong choices on how to spend it, of course!

All it took was running into one fatefully-timed ice cream man: Now young Tatara’s spent probably more than a buttload on ice cream, eyes bigger than his stomach. They’re melting in his care now, some threatening to leak out of their wrappers, so he’ll start handing them out to whosoever is near enough by. ]

July 17th: An art studio (midday)

[ Having his life taken at age 22, needless to say, Tatara never got to see life after 30. The heavens, it seems, have decided to give him a second chance at that.

From a baby-faced young pup, he’s grown into a handsome, matured figure, laugh lines starting to set in here and there, crow’s feet around the outermost edges of his eyes from years upon years of donning his signature warm smile. This week’s hobby is painting -- and he’s taken to enjoying a nice sweet white wine as he goes about it, trying his hand at watercolors with brush in one hand, glass in the other. ]

A coffee shop (later)

[ Tatara’s other long-time hobby is people-watching -- and that one’s stuck with him. He’ll be sitting alone at a table for two by the window in a tiny bistro, smiling at whoever should happen to offer him the same courtesy. He’s there for the ambiance, he might say; company’s optional. But should someone opt to join him, he’ll buy their drink, and an appetizer for them to share. ]

[There's a bitty Johan running around on the back of Amethyst Cat. The sight of the Spirit has most shinki and gods backing off, but he doesn't mind them any attention.

Amethyst Cat does stop once she recognizes Tatara, though Johan is eagerly leaning forward.]

[ She feels completely out of her element here, but at the same time, she doesn't want to just... do nothing. But she's not sure what she can do, since there are probably so many others around who are more equipped to deal with this. ]

[Killua tried to stay away from all of the shenanigans while they were going on, but he'll be here for any old person who feels weird about having been a kid earlier. In fact, he'll approach anyone who looks like they're feeling a little weird with a smirk on his face and his hands in his pockets.]

[ Wow he's not that old, he's only 21 in this older form. Still, Tendou points up at the sun, a dramatic phrase incoming. ]

It's nothing to worry about. After all, grandma said this: "The sun is wonderful, it can make even the dirt shine." And as the sun, even if I were that old, I'd still shine.

[The feeling in the air rankles, to the point that those who know her might think Celestia has grown slightly in the past day or two. It's half illusion, because her fur and feathers are all standing on end in reflexive response to the tension in the air.]

[As if on patrol, Celestia flaps around the Far Shore's skies, looking here and there for some clearer sign of what is to come. At the sight of a god or shinki, she drops down to the ground a respectful distance away.]

Do you feel the darkness in the air?

16th

[Today Celestia looks smaller. And that ISN'T an illusion or a body language deception. The pony has lost a foot or two of height and proportional mass all around, but even more obvious is the lack of grace and serenity. Rather than a calm and elegant Princess, the alicorn is nervous and almost skittish energy as she walks down the streets of the Far Shore, looking forlornly around.]

Has -- has anypony seen my backpack? I can't find it anywhere, and it has my things in it...

Luna? Did you hide my backpack? It isn't funny...

[It's as Celestia is passing by the local school that a carrot comes rolling out from the doorway, straight to her. From the doorway, a pair of wide bespectacled eyes watch her.]

[Horses eat carrots, right? This kid is pretty sure about that.]

July 16th: a public(?) pool (daytime)

[ No surprises, Demyx is That Kid you didn’t want yours inviting to the pool party, but you know their parents are in good with the boss at work so you kinda had to do the thing. He’s even in an inner tube-style floatie (that he clearly doesn’t need) as he jumps off the diving board, which resurfaces before him, but after he drenches anyone and everyone within a pretty wide radius.

He comes up a moment later, short crop of blond hair standing straight back up as soon as he shakes it out. And no, he’s not going to get out of the way of the next kid in line to jump, thank you very much; but he will race anyone just getting out back up to the diving board to jump again. ]

July 17th: a dive bar (evening)

[ Every dive bar worth their salt needs a crappy cover band, right? But at least this one’s got a pretty good guitarist.

A damn good guitarist, honestly -- who looks to be in his late 20s, early 30s perhaps, a bit of unkempt peachfuzz around his chin in what he clearly wanted to be a goatee but it just wasn’t in the cards. (Aww, too bad!) He’s the band’s lead guitar, and it’s easy to see why; but he sings now, too, providing a bit of harmony here and there, depending upon the song.

If he recognizes you, he’ll invite you up to sing a duet with him -- and don’t worry, whatever you want to sing, odds are he knows it. Consider him a walking, talking jukebox. If he doesn’t recognize you, but you applaud him, he may dedicate a song to you instead, if you play your cards right. ]

July 17th

[Barry's been out fighting ayakashi over the past few days now that he's actually capable of it, so at night he decides to treat himself to a few beers. He's seven years younger and forty pounds lighter, his blond hair down to his shoulders and clad in a metal band t-shirt - a callback to his younger days when he was a performer himself. When Demyx finishes his song, he claps loudly.]

I. july 16th, huitzilpochtli's temple (closed to team chipotle)

[ Miyuki, for what it's worth, is an incredibly light sleeper. It's why he wears his sleep mask and prefers sleeping in the dark and with minimal noise and people around him. So when the shockwave hits the Far Shore, he jolts awake, disoriented, but goes back to bed when it seems as if nothing was truly amiss beyond that. Things happen all the time here, and he's more interested in actually sleeping - besides, he thinks it's a dream.

When he wakes up in the morning, he sees that's not he case, turning his tiny hands over. He's shrunken a considerable amount, and his hat fits like it used to. At least it seems like his glasses and the rest of his clothes seem to fit well enough, so he gets out of bed, goes to the kitchen, and...

Well. He gets a stepstool he usually uses to reach the incredibly high shelves, and starts to make breakfast. Because when Mei wakes up, he's going to come screaming through the temple if this happened to him, too. Besides, he's hungry. ]

II. july 16th, the school

[ This sort of messes up the whole progress of cleaning out the overgrowth on one side of the school so they can have their practice field, but that doesn't stop him. Miyuki Kazuya has baseball for brains, so here he is, having gotten his hands on some child-sized equipment to drag to the school. Besides, it's easier to introduce the sport to kids, right?

So he can be found, coming and going, to the area that they've managed to clear out so far. It's not a lot, but it's enough for him. And once he's done, he takes a deep breath, dusting his hands off and surveying everything as his hat slides down on his head a little again.

He fixes it, and if he notices that he has anyone observing him - child or teen or adult - he'll assess before asking: ] Wanna play?

III. july 17th, library

[ So, you know. Being a kid again was pretty interesting.

But being about ten years older is a trip. Miyuki wasn't sure that was something that could happen for him, given the fact that he's dead and all, but here he is, ten years older. He's taller, he's bulkier, and he's scruffier, and he's not sure what to make of it. But if these kinds of things are going to keep happening, he's pretty sure that it'd be in his, and everyone else's, best interests, to maybe look into it.

So he heads to the library of the Heavens, bypassing the goblins that appear to be experiencing the same effects as the rest of the Far Shore. Looks like there are fewer around than normal, too, and he kind of wagers that the old ones might be senile where the younger ones might have no idea what he's talking about.

If he spots someone else, he's not afraid to wave them down with a: ] Hey, have you seen anything about time crap while you've been here?

IV. july 17th, the school part 2

[ When all else falls, guess where he winds up again?

The school. Again, baseball for brains.

They haven't managed to set everything up, but Miyuki did get a few nets today that he goes ahead and sets up. He's kind of curious about how hard he can hit and throw now, so he's going to be doing that. It's hard to pitch to yourself, but he's managed well enough, giving balls tosses up into the air before swinging his bat and -

Well. Sending them flying, when he makes contact. The only reason they don't go flying into the trees is because of the net. ]

[ mei has come to expect his usual routine every day here in the far shore. he gets up, blearily washes his face, does his hair (he refuses to be seen without his hair done in any context around the temple, what if kazuya or sanada see him) and then wanders into the kitchen. kazuya is almost always awake before him, if not sanada too, and mei's usually blissfully silent through breakfast until he's had a way too sugary coffee and whatever food either of them have chosen to make for breakfast. it's a nice, peaceful little routine.

it is not peaceful this morning.

mainly, because when mei gets out of bed, he swings his legs to move out of the bed and finds they take just a little longer to reach the floor than usual. that's odd, and his sleep addled brain tries to connect with that, but he ignores it until he wanders into the bathroom. and that's when he realizes it.

he can't see the mirror.

mei screeches at the top of his lungs, the most innapropriate-- ] WHAT THE FUCK! [ coming right out of his preteen body and making his voice crack on the last word. he's horrified, and mei jumps up to try and look at himself in the mirror properly, once, twice, and then peels the fuck out of the bathroom to the kitchen. (he's surely woken up both other members of the temple at this point.) ]

Kazuya--, [ he starts, and then freezes. kazuya's even tinier than him. ] Holy shit. [ is the only actual reply he gets out of him, staring, wide eyed, as he processes.

damn, he forgot kazuya was this tiny when they were little--! ]

July 16th, Morning

[A little boy about ten years old is making his way out of Odin's temple, holding tightly to the tome Brynhildr and looking around for anyone that looks familiar. His hair's down to about his shoulders, curly as any of his sibling's and tied back to keep it out of his face. (Don't ask him how that happened, he just woke up like that.)

Leo is on a mission and that mission is to get home. Maybe. It's entirely possible that after what happened the other night someone got him back and has sent him into an endless sleep, he's started learning about those curses finally, but he doubts it.]

July 16th, Evening

[Are you with Leo? Then you are being dragged back to Odin's temple with him, regardless of age.]

I woke up here, and Brynhildr was here, so it's obviously the safest place. And if it isn't, the red fruits growing outside can be used in a curse I learned to cast just last week. We'll be safe here.

July 17th, Morning

[Nope still small. Today is more of the "looking to get home" part of this adventure, but he's up for being dragged around. And fed. Please feed the little prince.]

[The small difference in their ages is all the more apparent this young, with Takumi being 7 or 8 years old. When he woke up he forgot most everything here as well, other then who was a friend and who wasn't. So at least he didn't start crying when Dust found him.

So he knew he could trust Leo, just not where he met him exactly. It was fine, he knew a lot of kids. Unlike Leo he seemed to have lost hair, a small puff all that remains of his massive ponytail. But otherwise he was the same Takumi. Which meant when he got separated from Dust and it started getting dark? He was not happy.

But Leo was Older and Smart. So he'll know what to do.]

[Amaterasu wasn't effected until the second shock wave made its way through the Far Shore. And now she is in an older body and with a much older mind. In fact, she is a little uncertain about this whole situation.]

I do not understand. I thought we had solved this problem many years ago.

[Her headdress is a little different, but anyone who knows Ama-chan will be able to recognize her instantly.]

Meeting Hall - Evening July 17

[After ascertaining that she is somehow in the past from her perspective, Amaterasu has made her way to the Meeting Hall, where she is attempting to help out anyone who might be uncertain, lost, or looking for someone. She stands just outside the hall, vocally reaching out to any who pass by.]

Are you perhaps lost? Might I be of some assistance?

[Her smile is warm. In fact, her whole presence is bright and warm.]

[He's so lost. He was for Shouto for a little while, but now he just doesn't know where to be.]

[The flowers had surrounded her, their sweet poison slipping into her lungs and there to her veins, and she had sought to sleep. To sleep forever, to forget.]

[Why is she awake here?]

[The young girl, maybe 14, huddles against a wall and tries to hide in the folds of her simple dress, shaking violently in fear of this strange land, and pain from the memories in her heart.]

[Is she dead?]

Lucian... Did you leave me?

[This isn't rebirth. This isn't oblivion. She's awake, alone, and she remembers everything.]

[Lowering her head so that her platinum hair falls forward in waves, the girl begins to quietly cry into her hands.]

[The little girl that approaches can't be more than nine but she carries herself with an air of maturity. At the moment, she's wearing an oversized green tunic and her long hair is loose and a bit disheveled. Her footsteps are carefully soft; she's found herself walking that way everywhere but it takes concentration. Once she's a short distance away, Ayumu takes a seat on the ground, back to the wall.]

Who's Lucian?

[Her head tilts curiously as she regards the crying girl, her dark eyes transfixed on her hair. Everything looks new to her but that hair color even more so and it's so pretty.]

[There is a small, scrawny, scrap of a kid poking his nose anywhere he can find to investigate this totally unfamiliar place. He's doing his best to be quiet and sneaky about it, sort of wanting to find the door out of here because while he's not sure where he's supposed to be, he gets the feeling it's not this place.

All bets, however, are off once he stumbles across the kitchen, looking an awful lot like a person presented with limitless opportunities and no idea on where to start. Let him just... soak this in. A whole kitchen, full of food. Incredible! He's hungry! He's super hungry! Super duper hungry!! But just taking something would be bad, wouldn't it? Not that he doesn't want to but that's surely! not allowed!! Someone help him!!! He's drooling and he doesn't know what to do!!!!]

17th, anywhere outdoors
[Well, it looks like this kid is stuck.... kid-like through the duration of the weirdness. Being inside somehow feels totally overwhelming, however, so he's doing his best to make himself scarce while still sticking as close to the temple as he can. Mostly, Raichi spends the day climbing the trees on the temple grounds, seeing how far out of the grounds he can go before darting back to the relatively familiar boundary, and generally trying to find some way to burn off as much nervous energy as he can.]

[Fuujin is for once away from his temple and exploring the Far Shore. After all the noise and uproar that buzzed around his temple this morning, he had to get away. Kaede was left to handle things.]

[He scowls aloud to himself, rubbing the back of his neck not really paying attention to where he's walking. People should stay out of his way, he doesn't need look where he's going.]
