The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[Because that's not cool. At all. Goten, carefully, leans back in his chair]

Man, even injured you're amazing Izumo! I wish I could of seen it! I should of known but....

[He puts his hands together, looking at Izumo]

Next time, gimme a call? I know you can handle stuff on your own but at least heal up first.

[Please? Pretty Please? Izumo is one of the most important people in Goten's life. You worry him]

So it's gonna be like a...double bar? Two in one?

[He can picture Shizuo running the top and Izumo running the bottom]

[He's going to need to find some way to keep Hibari out.

Although, he does pause s but, giving Goten a nod.]

[The worry goes both ways, Goten. Both ways.

He smiles.]

No. The second floor will be an apartment floor. [You can see where that can lead.]

[He worries more about you, Izumo. Just take care of yourself. For your sake and his]

Apartment floor?

[He knows what apartments are. Only because Izuku's temple is one and it's been explained before. That makes him perk. Instead of leaning back in his seat, he's now leaning forward on the table towards Izumo. Hope sparkles in his dark eyes.]

So...the second floor isn't part of the bar then!

[Is it leading to what he thinks it is because he's so for this. Even if he is a teenager now the way he's looking so eagerly at Izumo is no different then the seven year old him would. It may as well be Christmas with the amount of hope and excitement is practically radiating on his face]

No, it isn't a part of the bar.

[The sight of seeing Goten look so hopeful makes Izumo smile wider.

Teenager or not, Goten is still Goten deep down, so it's almost as if he's looking at the seven year old. It's almost amusing to see Goten look at him with such an expresssiom.]

Since you seem to come over all the time before the bar was destroyed, I might as well put in an apartment, too.

That's going to be awesome!

[Okay maybe it's not so bad that the bar was messed up now. Goten misses it but if this gives Izumo the chance to make that second floor....He's ecstatic!]

That means I don't have to go home at night all the time, right? I can hang out with you and Shizuo more.

[As if he doesn't hang around Izumo enough. He might as well be attached to the older shinki's leg]

[It'll be even more like a home now, he thinks. In a way, Izumo can't help but realize his bar is nearly fashioned the same way as Mikoto's temple. Only difference is that Izumo can call it his own.

He pushes the thought aside to answer his question.]

You can, but you can't come down once it gets too late.

[That rule is never going away, Goten.]

Huh? Aw but why? I'm an adult now. Even if I turn small again I've been one before so that should count for something.

[Izumo you're too tough. Bend the rules a little. Best friends do that you know! Still he can't argue too much or be upset about it because the idea of a second floor is just that cool!]

[But be happy with the second floor.]

Besides, at least this way, you'll get yourself another room away from Aymeric's temple if you decide to sleepover at the bar.

[But fine. He'll let it go, but only because of the second floor. That's sorta like meeting in the middle anyway.]

Yeah. Sometimes I think Aymeric and Grandpa Leo want to hang out by themselves. I don't think they have sleep overs yet but they do hang out a lot.

[That aside, he's so ready for this]

I'll help you build it back up faster. With you, me and Shizuo I bet it'll be done in no time. Maybe we can get Yata and Mikoto to help too.

[....Aymeric and Leo hooked up?

No wonder Goten is usually attached to him a lot more than usual lately.]

Yata, possibly, but I don't see Mikoto helping much.

Sorta. Sora is the one that started that. Something about god families. Leo is....Odin I think so that makes him Aymeric's dad?

[ He doesn't fully get it but the Grandpa bit sorta just stuck plus it seemed to make Sora happy.]

He'd probably sleep instead of helping huh?

[Ah, Norse families.]

Since they're in the same pantheon, it's not surprising. It's too be Sora and Roxas aren't in the same pantheon together.

[But Greek and Norse are two of the bigger ones so...it's not overall surprising.]

More than likely. [Unless Izumo himself manages to find a way to get Mikoto to work, but he'd rather keep his god and Shizuo apart for now.]

I guess so....I don't think all that stuff matters that much. You dont gotta be in the same god family to be close.

[He gives a lazy shrug]

It's okay, I'll just do twice the work and make up for it!

It definitely doesn't. It's the bonds you make that really make up the family.

[Izumo laughs.]

[And of course his grin just grows as he says that, looking right at Izumo.]

I won't let you down. Labor like that doesn't sound hard. Even if I'm small or big. It'll be done in no time.

It's almost like being a proud parent.]

The labor isn't so bad. The only real issue is with the electricity, but that shouldn't be too difficult either. [He hopes.]

[Hopefully he can keep it that way! He may not be a kid anymore but he's still the same Goten more or less. Izumo is a good influence.

He practically is like a parent at this point. Parent/Best friend all in one.]

Ah...I donno anything about electricity. Are you gonna try to figure it out. Maybe ask around on the BBS if anyone has an experience with that sort of thing?

It's fine, Shizuo and I got that handled before he turned into a teenager again. [Or kid. Whichever one it is right now.]

Doesn't sound hard. I bet it'll take no time at all after all this age stuff passes and you're all healed up.

[If it does. He is a little curious to what Izumo would be like younger.]

[He raises an eyebrow at him.

What....were you like as kid or teenager?

[Curious Goten is curious. Plus it would be nice to know what to expect.]

I'm honestly not sure, Goten. I can't remember those details of my life.

[songoten]

[Goten blinks slowly before his head catches up with his mouth. The moment it clicks his hands hit the table at the realization. AH! RIGHT! Shinki thing! He knew that too! How could he ever forget! He was a shinki too]

Ah, sorry Izumo! I forgot for a second! I think cause it's weird being bigger and--

[That slam from moments ago finally kicks in and the table cracks from the force. It crumbles between them into a broken pile on the floor.]

[Goten just stares at it, then looks to Izumo...whoops. Quickly he claps his hands together, apologetically.]
