Summary: A breach in the space-time continuum is messing things up.

The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

July 16 - Afternoon

Goten.

[Here, have an Izumo who's slowly walking over to him.

He raises an eyebrow upon seeing the teenager, eyes darting over at where the ruins of his bar lay.]

What are you doing out here?

[songoten]

[Goten blinks and looks over to Izumo. He perks up a little seeing him. At least he hasn't changed! Phew..]

Me? Uh, I sorta wanted to come check on the bar see if you started any repairs or something.

[At least seeing him lifts his spirits a bit, but man is it weird not having to tilt his head back to look up at Izumo.]

Not yet. Shizuo's currently aged down, too, so there aren't chances of that happening yet.

[It's weird to see a teen Goten, but it's honestly not so bad.

But first:]

Have you found Aymeric yet?

[songoten]

He is?!

[Goten practically shouts. He doesn't mean too but...Shizuo too? He can't hid the surprise off his face. It was...expected after he saw what's going around but not Shizuo too.]

I was gonna punch him in the face and make him fight me for real though!

[Whhhyyyyyy. He can't get anything he wants eventhough he's an 'adult' now. Sighing, he runs a hand through his hair]

No...After he ran away from me, he found some kids to hang out with so I know he's okay but he doesn't trust me. Everything is crazy.

[Immediately, Izumo smirks.]

He still thinks like an adult, but I wouldn't exactly suggest punching him in the face right now. Apparently, he's injured.

[Your life sucks right now, Goten.

Izumo raises an eyebrow.]

Now you know how it feels to be an adult.

[songoten]

But that's even more unfair!

[Seriously? Izumo this wasn't want he wanted at all. He had plans, dreams and they were suppose to just fall into his lap today. He was so excited when he woke up and looked in the mirror. Way to crush a child's dreams.

Goten sighs, shoulders slumping.]

Is it suppose to feel like disappointment?

['cause that's what it feels like.]

[He's trying not to laugh, but he does and damn it that makes his ribs hurt.

It's worth it in the end, though.

It hurts a bit to catch his breath, even though he grins at him.]

Just seems like it isn't your luck right now, Goten.

[songoten]

[Thank Izumo. Goten frowns at him, reaching out to put a hand on Izumo's shoulder. There's the temptation to shove him but he does remember Izumo is hurt. That's the only thing that stops him. So he lets go and his hand drops as he kicks at more rubble]

Tell me about it.... I was looking forward to doing everything. Shizuo is out, the bar is gone...

[Good to know you care, Goten.

Straightening up, Izumo studies him for a bit before his lips quirk up into a smile.]

There are other things you can do. Sorry to crush your hopes, though.

[songoten]

There are?

[That gets his attention, he lifts his head a bit. Of course Izumo would know what he could do. Izumo is an adult!]

Like what? What do you do?

[A blink before he chuckles.]

I do a lot of things, Goten.

[Really, being an adult is boring. Though, he does blink and smiles.]

Aren't there other people you wanted to fight with that wouldn't fight you when you were a kid?

[songoten]

Besides Shizuo?

[He has to think about that. A lot of people treated him like a regular kid but that didn't mean he wanted to fight them. Shizuo is the one he really wanted to punch and Izumo is out.]

I donno...I'm not brave enough to look for Loki.

[Even as a teen, Goten does not have a death wish. He can't fight someone that can make him stand still]

If you weren't injured I'd fight you but...I donno. My body feels sorta weird. So maybe fighting isn't a good idea. I couldn't hold anything at the temple.

[He lifts up his hands, looking at them thoughtfully, flexing his fingers]

It is pretty cool to be tall though!

I'd recommend Mikoto, but he's a teenager, too.

[And well, actually, his god still might want to look forward to a fight. He'll have to double-check later.

And yes, please don't search for Loki.

His eyebrows furrow.]

You can't hold anything?

[That's...a bit alarming. Even if Goten does seem to enjoy being tall.]

[songoten]

Mikoto is a teenager?

[That's an idea.]

If he's not hanging around your temple, maybe I'll try sparing with him.

[It gives him something to do!]

Sort of... If I pay attention it doesn't happen but if I don't...

[It's been a morning... He laughs sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. Izumo help.]

You don't think Aymeric will be too made to see the table and other stuff broken do you?

Yes, please don't spar around the temple. I don't want it blowing up again so soon.

[He's honestly waiting for a third time to happen.

Upon hearing that, however, Izumo just. Sighs a bit.]

Not mad, but upset maybe. [His strength sounds a lot similar to Shizuo's now.] ...You haven't broken anything else did you?

[songoten]

I won't, I won't! I don't like giving you trouble, Izumo.

[Especially with the bar gone now. Where would you even go?]

Uh...no, just cups, plates and the table and maybe a bit of the counter-top....

[It's hard to remember everything.]

I guess I just really have to think about whatever I'm doing.

[That's no fun]

[That's...That's a lot of stuff.

Izumo looks bemused.]

You sound as if you have the same kind of trouble Shizuo has.

[songoten]

Do you think he could help me then? I feel stronger.

[He smiles at Izumo]

I'm happy I ran into you, Izumo. At least you're the same and you always give the best advice too.

I don't see why he wouldn't.

[A smile back.]

Don't jinx me, Goten. For all you know, I might turn into a different age soon enough.

[If anyone know stuff about figuring out controlling strength and Holding Back it'd be Shizuo.]

[He blinks at that slowly before grinning]

If you do, I'll take care of you just like you do for me!

You might want to ease a bit on him, though. He's not exactly in the best shape.

[And...well, Goten will get the chance to see for himself.

But even as a teen, his heart still seems to remain the same.

It makes Izumo smile.]

Then maybe I should get turned into a kid. [He's joking--]

What happened to him?

[Did it have something to do with the bar?]

I'll keep an eye out for you then, just in case! I sorta can cook some stuff now and everything...but I'll do my best!

[He means it too!]

But, uh....How are you doing?

[Cause while it's hard to see, you do look a little more beaten up then he remembers.]

You didn't tell me what all happened to the bar. Just that a fight happened and the bar got destroyed.

Are you still learning to cook from Yoon?

[There's a pause.

Izumo's honestly having some difficulty standing or at least keeping straight. If he's not moving, he's a bit aware of his injuries.

He breathes out, running his fingers through his hair.]

Mind if we find somewhere to sit before I tell you?

Ahuh....well I haven't seen him with everything going on.

[ He's not sure if he wants to find another child-version of his friends. Chikusa and Aymeric freaked him out enough without seeing Yoon too]

Yeah, sure! Do you have anywhere in mind? We can go to Aymeric's---Can we get something to eat?

[Please? Pretty please!]

Hm, let's hope he hasn't been affected, too.

[For that matter, Izumo hasn't come across his other friends yet.
