[Open] Life doesn't discriminate
Who: Lavi and You!
What: Aftermath of the Event and Lavi being Lavi
When: July 18 - 25
Where: Far Shore
Warnings?: N/A
A. I’m falling between the cracks
[After the event that affected the Heavens, Lavi has decided to take it upon himself to distance himself from a few people.
So, people would be able to find Lavi at a park, huddled under a tree. He doesn’t seem to be paying attention to anything in particular, but his usual headband is missing and there’s a silver bird clip currently attached to the collar of his shirt. His eye seems to be focused on a book laid out on his lap, lips moving as he reads what’s on the page.
However, the moment he senses someone coming up to him, the book is slammed shut and he eyes the person almost warily.]
B. The Library Goblins
[Thanks to the pulse or whatever it was, one of the first things Lavi’s done after returning to normal is to inspect the library.
Or rather, inspect the area around it.
He frowns a bit, cupping his chin in thought before he turns to the nearest person.]
Have you seen the goblins? [This is. A very important question since Lavi’s become aware of the goblins the moment they had decided to steal the books back.]
C. Wildcard
[Nothing works for you, make one up or hit me up at
seabutterfly!]

[He relaxes a bit upon recognizing her, giving her a smile in greeting.
Though, it quickly shifts into an apologetic one since he has been kind of avoiding her recently and he feels bad for doing so without a proper explanation.
He pats the spot beside him.]
Wanna join me?
no subject
Are you alright? I'm sure the last few days were... difficult.
no subject
[And he just stops short, looking over st her.]
I wasn't bad as a kid, was I?
no subject
Not at all. You were very sweet.
[And then, with just a hint of teasing]
Although, perhaps a bit hard to keep track of.
no subject
Yeah, sorry for that. Never expected to be a wanderer as a kid.
[There's a flicker of hesitation, a brief pause.
"Wanderer", huh? No, he quickly squishes it down.]

[She'd been awfully worried when she lost him, but it all worked out in the end.]
Actually, I think I should apologize too. I don't know much about children, so I'm sure I could have done a better job looking after you.
no subject
No, it's fine. You did a pretty good job looking after me, anyway. [He rubs the back of his head.] So, thanks.

[She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small laminated bookmark featuring a single pressed flower. The one he gave her. She got the idea from one of the arts and crafts books and thought that a bookmark was an especially appropriate way to preserve the gift.]
No one had ever given me flowers before.
no subject
He smiles a bit.]
I'll have to make sure to change that. I don't ever mind giving you flowers, Cardia.
no subject
You really don't have to go to all that trouble. Just having you here is enough for me.
no subject
...If you say so.
[Why are words suddenly hard.]
no subject
After a moment she does find something to fill the silence though.]
Um, do you mind if I ask what you're reading?
no subject
[A sheepish grin.]
