[Open] Life doesn't discriminate
Who: Lavi and You!
What: Aftermath of the Event and Lavi being Lavi
When: July 18 - 25
Where: Far Shore
Warnings?: N/A
A. I’m falling between the cracks
[After the event that affected the Heavens, Lavi has decided to take it upon himself to distance himself from a few people.
So, people would be able to find Lavi at a park, huddled under a tree. He doesn’t seem to be paying attention to anything in particular, but his usual headband is missing and there’s a silver bird clip currently attached to the collar of his shirt. His eye seems to be focused on a book laid out on his lap, lips moving as he reads what’s on the page.
However, the moment he senses someone coming up to him, the book is slammed shut and he eyes the person almost warily.]
B. The Library Goblins
[Thanks to the pulse or whatever it was, one of the first things Lavi’s done after returning to normal is to inspect the library.
Or rather, inspect the area around it.
He frowns a bit, cupping his chin in thought before he turns to the nearest person.]
Have you seen the goblins? [This is. A very important question since Lavi’s become aware of the goblins the moment they had decided to steal the books back.]
C. Wildcard
[Nothing works for you, make one up or hit me up at
seabutterfly!]

A slow blink because he's been to the library numerous times and this is his first time meeting her.]
They did seem to handle those strange pulses poorly yesterday.
[Then:]
Who are you?
no subject
[She offers a sympathetic smile all the same before giving a small nod of her head.]
My name Kaede. I thought it would be a good idea to clean this place up a little after everything that happened... What about you?
no subject
[Kaede, huh? He's definitely never heard--
Wait.]
Kaede...as in Fuujin's shinki, "Kaede"?
no subject
[That's a little unexpected. She has been venturing out of the shrine more and meeting all kinds of new faces as well as requesting helps via letters but this young man doesn't look familiar to her at all. How is her name getting around?]
That would be correct. One in the same.
no subject
[He figures it'd be good to give her an explanation.
He's not sorry for punching your god.]
no subject
[Her smile strains a bit, mind wondering. Oh, what a couple of days those were. She's still pretty exhausted from it all. That's more reason why she's here and not there today]
Fuujin-sama has returned to normal much like the rest of you. It's probably best not to focus on what happened then as not everyone was in their right minds.
no subject
[He guesses that not even the old gods are exempted from what's happening.
A curious look.]
How are you doing, though? [Since Fuujin did tell him that Kaede was the one who's been working at calming everyone down.]
no subject
[She gives a small shrug of her shoulders before that next question makes her blink.]
I am...fine, sir?
[You never gave her a name. Overall, closer inspection will just show how tired she looks behind her smile and confusion for Lavi]
I wasn't affected by what happened as Fuujin-sama was.
no subject
[He blinks at being called 'sir'.]
Ah, the name's Lavi.
[Lavi frowns a bit.]
Even so, you look tired, Kaede.
no subject
Nice to meet you Lavi...I assure you, I'm fine. Now that everyone is back to the ages they should be anyway. Everything is settling down again...
no subject
[Wait--]
....I apologize for punching your god. [Apologizing to Kaede is one thing. Apologizing to Fuujin is another.]
no subject
no subject
[....Least he's willing to admit that?]
no subject
[Kaede has to turn her back to Lavi and take a few steps away from him, shoulders trembling. If he listens close enough he can probably hear a a muffled giggle as she covers her mouth]
no subject
He takes a few steps closer, peering at her curiously.
Was she...was she laughing?]
no subject
-And she spins back around, clapping her hands together now that her composer is back. Nothing to see here!]
It is not a good idea to punch a God of Fortune. Especially one with such a ill-temper such as Fuujin-sama. I've already calmed him down about the incident, reminding him that not everyone had their memories and could be held accountable for their actions. However I would like to advise you to avoid him for sometime.
no subject
So not even Kaede can't help but laugh, huh?
He grins.]
Don't worry, I've no intention of running into him any time soon.
no subject
[She smiles, trying to keep composed and poised but...it's hard]
no subject
Well, it's better now, right? As long as he doesn't give me a reason to do it again, I think the two of us would be fine.
no subject
[Granted, they were the size of children but still. She really is having a hard time trying not to giggle. It was just the sight of a tiny angry fuujin coming home with a swollen cheek....Not something she ever thought she'd see.]
It is good to see you are well after everything that has happened in the last few days.
no subject
[He wishes he was able to see Fuujin after that.
Lavi smiles.]
Thank you. It's been...a rather sudden adjustment.
no subject
I wouldn't go around bragging however. Fuujin-sama isn't the most forgiving god. However, I do believe you are safe otherwise with the circumstances that occurred.
[Please do be careful, Lavi. You seem like an interesting fellow. She'd hate to see Fuujin smite you]
Everything should be calming down so please do make sure to catch up on your rest.
no subject
The smile turns sheepish.]
Definitely not going to brag about it. I think...I've told one or two people about it when I was a kid, though. [Roxas being one of them.
And please try to prevent Fuujim from smiting him, Kaede. Please.
A nod.]
I will, but you should get some rest, too, Kaede.
no subject
Oh, I will now. I still have many duties being Fuujin-sama's exemplar but I do make sure to rest between them.
[She smiles more so, the concern is endearing]
no subject
So, he smiles.]
That's good to hear.
